ROSTER MOVES l Prior to today's game, the White Sox returned LHP Carlos Rodón from his injury rehab assignment at Class AAA Charlotte and reinstated him from the 60-day disabled list and designated RHP Chris Beck for assignment. l Rodón, 25, made four rehab starts between Charlotte and Class A Kannapolis, going 1-0 with a 1.53 ERA (3 ER/17.2 IP) and 28 strikeouts he was placed on the disabled list on 3/28 to continue his rehab from left shoulder surgery on 9/27/17. l The White Sox 40-man roster remains at 40. LAST NIGHT'S RECAP l Dylan Covey combined with three relievers on a three-hitter as the White Sox ended a five-game losing streak at Fenway Park with a 1-0 victory. l Covey allowed three hits with one walk and seven strikeouts over 6.0 IP to lower his season ERA to 2.22 he retired 12 straight batters in one stretch from the first-fourth innings. l Jace Fry, Nate Jones and Joakim Soria each threw 1.0 scoreless IP in relief of Covey, with Soria earning his seventh save of the season and third of the trip. l Trayce Thompson drove in Kevan Smith for the game's only run with a one-out single off Chris Sale in the seventh inning Smith led off the seventh with a ground-rule double. l The White Sox recorded their third shutout of the season and fifth ever 1-0 victory at Fenway Park (first since 7/21/89). WHITE SOX CHARITIES LEND A HAND l In conjunction with Danny Farquhar's return to Guaranteed Rate Field on 6/1, Chicago White Sox Charities raised $10,000, with all proceeds benefitting the Joe Niekro Foundation, an organization committed to supporting patients and families, research, treatment and awareness of brain aneurysms. l Farquhar, 31, threw out a ceremonial first pitch on 6/1, surrounded by his wife, children and the RUSH University Medical Center team who helped care for him after he suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm during a home game on 4/20 vs. Houston. SOX SERVE WEEK l The White Sox will celebrate Sox Serve Week from 6/11-16, their 10th annual community outreach and fundraising campaign benefitting Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC). l Sox Serve Week engages fans and the Chicagoland community through outreach events, including a visit to LaRabida Hospital and events with Special Olympic athletes, as well as special fundraising opportunities, such as auctions, Mystery Baseball sales and more. ON THE ROAD TO OMAHA l Oregon State INF Nick Madrigal, the White Sox first-round pick (No. 4 overall) in the First-Year Player Draft, went 1-4 with a run scored yesterday as the No. 3 Beavers defeated Minnesota, 8-1, in an NCAA Super Regional game in Corvallis, Ore. l Game 2 of the series is scheduled for tonight at 8:30 p.m. CT. HAWK'S FAREWELL l Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, who is in his 33rd and final season in the White Sox television booth in 2018, will work primarily Sunday home games this season as well as select other contests. l Harrelson played for the Red Sox from and worked in the their broadcast booth from he was a member of the 1967 "Impossible Dream" Red Sox team that lost to St. Louis in the World Series and was named American League Player of the Year in 1968 after leading the majors with 109 RBI and ranking third with 35 home runs. l Harrelson will serve as a White Sox ambassador throughout the 2019 season, marking his eighth decade in baseball.
