LAST NIGHT'S RECAP l The White Sox were limited to six hits in a 11-1 loss at Minnesota, matching their largest margin of defeat of the season. l Derek Holland suffered the loss, allowing five runs on eight hits and four walks over 5.0 IP Holland fell to 0-5 with a 7.98 ERA (26 ER/29.1 IP) in six career starts at Target Field. l Mike Pelfrey and Chris Beck each gave up three runs over 1.1 IP of relief. l Avisaíl García extended his hitting streak to seven games, going 3-5 with a triple and run scored, his fifth game of the season with three-plus hits. KOPECH HONORED BY SOUTHERN LEAGUE l RHP Michael Kopech, the No. 12 prosect in baseball and No. 3 in the White Sox organization according to MLB.com, has been named the Southern League Most Outstanding Pitcher for l Kopech, 21, went 8-7 with a 2.87 ERA (38 ER/119.1 IP) and 155 strikeouts in 22 starts with Class AA Birmingham before earning a promotion to Class AAA Charlotte he ranks sixth in the minor leagues with 165 combined strikeouts. PITO POWER l According to STATS LLC, José Abreu is the first player in White Sox history to begin his major-league career with fourplus consecutive 25-homer seasons, and the 10th in majorleague history to accomplish the feat (see list at right). l Abreu needs 22 RBI to become the third player in majorleague history to begin his career with four straight seasons of at least 25 homers and 100 RBI he would join Joe DiMaggio ( ) and Albert Pujols ( ). l Abreu ranks among the American League leaders in numerous categories (see box at right) and is on pace to record career highs in doubles (45), extra-base hits (82), total bases (346) and runs scored (95) the 82 extra-base hits and 344 total bases both would be the fourth-highest totals in franchise history. ON THE FARM l Class AA Birmingham OF Eloy Jiménez, the No. 7 prospect in baseball according to MLB.com, is (.588) with two home runs, four RBI and five runs scored over his last four games. l Jiménez, 20, is hitting.368/.400/.614 (21-57) in 15 games with Birmingham after batting.345/.410/.682 (38-110) with 11 doubles, eight homers, 26 RBI and 20 runs scored in 29 games with Class A Winston-Salem. l Birmingham LHP Jace Fry owns a 1.98 ERA (6 ER/27.1 IP) with 29 strikeouts over his last 19 appearances.
