TONIGHT'S STORYLINES l The White Sox are hitting.288 (292-1,015) with 38 home runs and 146 runs scored (5.0 R/G) over the last 29 games. l The Sox have won seven of the last eight games vs. Toronto and are dating back to 6/7/12 they have won four straight games at Rogers Centre and are 12-6 since l José Quintana is 5-2 with a 1.67 ERA (10 ER/54.0 IP) in eight career starts vs. Toronto all eight starts have been quality. l Avisaíl García leads the American League with a.343 average and owns an eight-game hitting streak (.452, 14-31). l Matt Davidson has homered in a career-best four straight games, the longest streak by a Sox player since Alex Rios from 4/5-9/13 (four) and one shy of the club record (seven times). l José Abreu has reached base safely in 12 straight games and is hitting.458 (11-24) with seven runs scored in his last six. YESTERDAY'S RECAP l Melky Cabrera hit a go-ahead, two-run single off Chris Tillman in the sixth inning, and the White Sox went on to defeat Baltimore, 5-2, to win the four-game series. l Anthony Swarzak threw 1.2 scoreless IP to earn the victory in relief of starter David Holmberg (1 ER/4.1 IP) Chris Beck (0.2 IP) and Tommy Kahnle (1.1) also made scoreless outings. l Rookie Matt Davidson homered for the fourth straight game and scored twice, and rookie Kevan Smith collected a careerhigh three hits. l Avisaíl García (first career) and Rick Renteria (eighth, second with White Sox) were ejected in the sixth inning. DAVIDSON ON A ROLL l Rookie Matt Davidson has homered in four straight games, one short of the White Sox record of five (seven times, last A.J. Pierzynski in 2012) Davidson became the first Sox player to homer in all four games of a four-game series (6/12-15 vs. Baltimore) since Paul Konerko from 7/26-29/10 vs. Seattle. l Davidson leads the Sox and ranks second among American League rookies with 14 home runs this season among AL players with at least 150 plate appearances, he ranks seventh with a home run ratio. TORONTO l The White Sox have won a club-record five straight season series against the Blue Jays ( ), going in that span (12-6 at Rogers Centre). l The Sox went 5-1 against the Blue Jays in 2016, batting.300/.359/.554 with a 3.33 ERA (20 ER/54.0 IP) and outscoring the Blue Jays, l Chicago's three-game sweep on 4/25-27 was its first in Toronto since 5/6-8/05. l The White Sox trail in the all-time series, they are in Chicago (60-48 at U.S. Cellular Field) and in Toronto (54-69 at Rogers Centre). BUEHRLE TO BE IMMORTALIZED l The White Sox will honor Mark Buehrle on 6/24, retiring his No. 56 jersey during a special tribute before the 1:10 p.m. game vs. Oakland. l Buehrle will be the 12th player to have his number retired by the Sox, including former teammates Paul Konerko (2015) and Hall-of-Famer Frank Thomas (2010), and the first in majorleague history to have No. 56 retired. l A 38th-round pick in 1998, Buehrle went with a 3.83 ERA, 27 complete games (eight shutouts) and 1,396 strikeouts over 390 appearances (365 starts) with the Sox from , making four American League All-Star Teams and winning three AL Gold Gloves. COMING UP ACES l Three products of the White Sox Amateur City Elite (ACE) program were selected in the 2017 First-Year Player Draft: 3B Donivan Williams by St. Louis in the 14th round (Richards High School); OF Ro Coleman by Detroit in the 34th round (Vanderbilt); and LHP Angelo Smith by the Sox in the 40th round (Richards High School). l ACE, celebrating its 10th anniversary, provides inner city youth with the opportunity to play baseball at a highly competitive level while preparing them for success beyond the field. SEARCHING FOR QUALITY l Chicago's starting rotation owns a 6.25 ERA (75 ER/108.0 IP) over the last 23 games, making just three quality starts. l The White Sox went a franhicse-record 13 consecutive games without a quality start from 5/29-6/12, which was the longest streak in the American League since Toronto also went 13 in a row from 6/8-22/12 (STATS LLC). l The Sox rank last in the American League with 22 quality starts this season after finishing second in 2016 with 95. READYING FOR RETURNS l James Shields, who has been on the disabled list since 4/21 with a strained right lat, is scheduled to be reinstated on Sunday to start at Toronto. l Carlos Rodón, who has been on the disabled list since 4/2 with left biceps bursitis, is scheduled to make his third rehab start on Saturday for Charlotte vs. Indianapolis. l Rodón made his second rehab start on 6/11 for Charlotte, allowing four runs on five hits over 3.2 IP at Gwinnett.
