2 SFT AHT Rule Bk Strike Frce Tur Arizna Handicap Tur (SFTAHT) is a USBC sanctined event that will fllw all USBC turnament rules and guidelines. SFTAHT s highest pririty is prviding a fair and fun handicap turnament envirnment fr amateur bwlers. The rules that SFTAHT practices are t maintain the integrity f the SFTAHT turnaments and the sprt f bwling. Chapter 1 - Turnament Participants 1. Membership SFTAHT will be a membership based bwling turnament club fr amateur bwlers. Membership has dues and benefits. (Return T The Tp) a. Eligibility All bwlers are eligible t be a member unless therwise stipulated belw. i. New Bwler All bwlers planning n bwling a SFTAHT event fr the first time, must be a USBC member in gd standing. If yu are nt sanctined with the USBC, sanctin cards will be available n site at each event. (Return T The Tp) ii. Yuth Eligibility If all ther eligibility rules are met, all yuth bwlers are eligible. SFT AHT will abide by rule 400 in the USBC playing rules. The yuth bwler will nly be eligible fr schlarship winnings that will be depsited int his r her smart accunt. (Return T The Tp) iii. Amateur Eligibility Any bwler wh has an active PBA r PWBA card is ineligible. iv. Accmplishment Restrictins Any bwler that has had 3 r mre cashes in PBA reginals in the last 2 years are eligible, but will have an entering average that results in n handicap and are nt susceptible t average fluctuatin (they will never receive handicap). If a player has 1 r mre reginal titles in the last 2 years r 1 r mre PBA natinal titles in the last 10 years, r made Team USA in the last 5 years, r made Junir Team USA in the last 3 years, r wn $10, r mre twice in the last calendar year in a scratch turnament is nt eligible fr any SFT AHT event. (Return T The Tp) v. Turnament Directr Discretin A bwler may be deemed ineligible by the turnament directr in rder t prtect the integrity f the SFTAHT and its members. (Return T The Tp) b. Membership Types There will be multiple types f membership. (Return T The Tp) i. One Year Standard Bwling Membership This membership will start n the day that the participant pays their membership dues and will expire n the 365th day after dues were paid. This membership grants entry int an SFTAHT event. (Return T The Tp) ii. Lifetime Bwling Membership This membership will be free f charge, will never expire, and features the same benefits as the ne year membership. The lifetime bwling membership will nly be given ut during the end-f-the-year banquet if there are any members that receive it. (Return T The Tp) c. Membership Dues Dues fr memberships will always be psted at every turnament site and nline at aht.strikefrcetur.cm/membership. i. Keep yur cash till yu cash prgram When a nn-member enrlls in this prgram they will nt have t pay membership dues until they cash in the quarter finals. Bwlers enrlled are still cnsidered nn-members. Hwever, nce that nn-member cashes in the quarter finals, their membership dues are immediately deducted frm their winnings and they will receive all membership benefits frm that pint n. This allws bwlers t keep their cash until they cash. (Return T The Tp) d. Bwling Membership Benefits - Being a member f the SFTAHT will cme with benefits upn enrllment. 3 e. Member Meetings Meetings may be held t get feedback frm members n ptential changes fr the turnament club. The meeting will be cnducted by the bard f directrs. f. Membership Terminatin A member can have their bwling r nline membership terminated if they have reached a class 3 cnduct level (See Chapter 1 Rule 2.c Miscnduct Level 3 ). 2. Member Cnduct It is the highest pririty f the SFTAHT and its bard f directrs t preserve the integrity f the sprt and the SFTAHT brand. Any nline member r bwling member engaging in any activity deemed as prhibited miscnduct will run the risk f the apprpriate cnsequence. (Return T The Tp) a. Level 1 Miscnduct Level 1 miscnduct may result in verbal warnings n the first ffense. Any ffense thereafter is subject t be deemed as a higher level miscnduct. i. Pr Sprtsmanship(Return T The Tp) ii. Mistreatment f center equipment iii. Inapprpriate actins during a turnament and/r in an nline envirnment. iv. Slw bwling, stalling r balking. (Turnament directr s discretin) v. Any actin taken that is prhibited in the USBC general playing rules. (Return T The Tp) b. Level 2 Miscnduct Level 2 miscnduct may result in immediate disqualificatin, membership suspensin, and/r fines. This judgment wuld be made by the bard f directrs. i. Physical altercatin with turnament participants, center staff, and/r turnament staff. ii. Majr damage t center equipment requiring replacement. (Bwlers will be held financially respnsible fr any equipment repairs r replacements.) iii. Defaming f the SFTAHT and/r the sprt f bwling. (Return T The Tp) iv. Any repeat ffense f level 1 miscnduct after verbal warning. v. Any miscnduct that the bard deems as being extreme enugh t be cnsidered level 2 miscnduct. c. Level 3 Miscnduct Level 3 miscnduct will result in permanent terminatin f membership. Such judgment wuld be made by the bard f directrs. i. Intentinally breaking any rule t gain an advantage in turnament play. ii. Any repeat ffense f level 2 miscnduct after returning frm disqualificatin r temprary terminatin. iii. Any miscnduct that the bard deems as being extreme enugh t be cnsidered level 3 miscnduct. (Return T The Tp) d. Cnduct Database The turnament directrs will be allwed t nte any cmplaints received by ther participants abut ther participants. This database will be used by the turnament directr r bard f directrs t determine apprpriate cnsequences fr vilatins. e. E-Cigarettes There will be n E-Cigarettes allwed in the bwler s area at any time. If the hsting bwling center has mre stringent rules n e-cigarettes then thse will be fllwed instead. f. Turnament Directr Discretin Turnament directr has the authrity t deem any actin as a certain level f miscnduct and take apprpriate actin. (Return T The Tp) g. Dress Cde The dress cde fr events will be casual. The dress cde required by the bwling center will be the nly dress cde rules enfrced. If an event has a special dress cde, it will be indicated n the event flyer and n site at each event. (Return T The Tp) h. Bwling Ball Surface Changes A player may nt alter the surface f any f their bwling balls with abrasives after frame 1 has begun. The use f any USBC apprved cleaners is permissible. Als any plishes and rubbing alchls are permissible. 3. Turnament Entry Fees Turnament entry fees must be cllected prir t each squad. Side event fees may be paid after the cmpletin f practice but must be paid befre a participant s first frame. a. Acceptable frms f payment These are the nly acceptable frms f payment fr all fees. 3

N cupns r punch cards can be used in cnjunctin with ther cupns r punch cards. b. Cash/Check Discunt All f the prices that are advertised n site at each event and n each flyer are the discunted prices if paid with cash r check. The full price is 2% higher and will be charged if nt paying with cash r check. c. Bunced Checks Any participant wh bunces a check will be charged a ne-time fee f $30.00 plus whatever the check was written fr. If a participant has a secnd ccurrence f a bunced check, they will be charged the same fee and will nt be allwed t pay with check fr any future events. (Return T The Tp) d. Withdrawing If any participant withdraws after the first frame is bwled they will nt receive any reimbursement. A bwler has up until the end f practice t withdraw t receive a full refund. 4. Appeals Any rule that a player feels is unfair r is being applied unfairly may file an appeal. The appeal frm is available n site at each event and nline at aht.strikefrcetur.cm/appeal-frm. The appeal will be heard by the bard f directrs and a judgment will be given within 30 days. (Return T The Tp) 5. Advisry Bard Bard members will cnsist f SFTAHT members and the turnament directr. a. SFTAHT Center Directr Center directrs rganize membership and market the SFTAHT brand in a bwling center. A center directr may be the directr f mre than ne center. Center directr psitins are selected by the turnament directr thrugh an applicatin prcess. T access the applicatin g t aht.strikefrcetur.cm/center-directr-applicatin. i. Center Directr Benefits Center directrs will receive a variety f privileges and pprtunities fr cmpensatin. A list f thse benefits can be fund at (Return T The Tp) b. Turnament Directr This directr is an verseer f all center directrs and peratins f each turnament. All rules and decisins are at the discretin f a turnament directr. Fr a cmplete list f all directrs g t 6. General Playing Rules SFTAHT will abide by all rules in Chapter 2 General Playing Rules f the current USBC rule bk. (Return T The Tp) Chapter 2 Turnaments 1. Event Types SFTAHT turnaments will utilize a variety f different event types t determine each turnament s winner. Each turnament s frmat will be indicated n each turnament s flyer and n site at each turnament lcatin. (Return T The Tp) a. Standard Frmat The standard frmat fr all SFTAHT turnaments will cnsist f 1 day f squads with a cut rati determining prize winners & quarter finalists. (See Chapter 2 Rule 4 Cut/Cash Rati fr mre inf.) b. Majrs Any standard frmat event that has an advertised increased prize fund frm the standard frmats by at least 25% will be cnsidered majrs and will use 3 days f squads. c. Fun Frce Frmats These frmats will vary frm event t event. These frmats will always be ne day events and will never have a quarter finals. (Return T The Tp) d. Miscellaneus Frmats Other frmats may be used fr special events. 4

5 2. Squad(s) A squad cnsists f a set f games bwled during a turnament frmat. Participants will chse which prizes they will cmpete fr in a squad. The squad lengths, and start times will always be advertised nline, n the event flyer and n site at each event. (Return T The Tp) a. Qualifying Entries If a participant is bwling a qualifying entry, their ttal pin fall fr that squad will be cmbined with ther qualifying entries in their divisin (See Chapter 4 Rule 8 Qualifying Divisins fr mre inf). These scres will be used t determine the finalists fr that turnament based n a cut rati (See Chapter 2 Rule 4 Cut/Cash Rati fr mre inf.) b. Ecnmy Parlays An ecnmy parlay enters a player t win a full qualifying entry which includes the prgressive pt entry. (See Chapter 3 Rule 5 Prgressive Pt fr mre inf). i. Availability The availability f ecnmy parlays may differ frm turnament t turnament. It will be indicated n site at each event and n each event flyer if ecnmy parlays are available fr that turnament. (Return T The Tp) c. Side Events (See Chapter 3 Rule 3 fr a cmplete breakdwn f available side events) Bwlers can chse t bwl side events in cnjunctin with a ther entries during a squad. Bwlers that have already made the quarter finals can als bwl side events exclusively as lng as a lineage fee is paid. (See Chapter 3 rule 3.e Lineage Fee fr mre inf) d. Squad length The squad length will always be 30 minutes per game bwled. If it is a 2 game qualifying squad, it will end 1 hur after it begins. The next qualifying squad will nt begin until the squad prir t it has cmpleted. (Return T The Tp) e. Squad start times The squad start times will always be advertised n aht.strikefrcetur.cm, the turnament s flyer and n site at each event. These start times are very strict and will nly be delayed in the event f unfreseen circumstances. (Return T The Tp) f. Late entries - If a bwler enters a squad late, they have up t the 3 rd frame f the 1 st game t still enter the squad. After all bwlers have cmpleted their 3 rd frame in turnament play, all entries are clsed fr that squad. g. Weekend Qualifying Mst standard frmat turnaments will use weekend qualifying t determine its finalists. The amunt f squads available fr weekend qualifying will depend n lane availability. h. Mid-Week Qualifying Fr sme standard frmat turnaments there will be mid-week qualifying available in additin t the weekend qualifying. (Return T The Tp) 3. Quarter Finals Frmats Quarter finals will be used in all events except fr events using Fun Frce Frmats. The finals rund will eliminate quarter finalists in each divisin rund by rund until there is a turnament champin.the rate at which finalists are eliminated will be based n the finals frmat. (Return T The Tp) a. Average Divisins - All finalists will be put int three divisins based n average. The divisins will be reestablished in the finals t ensure that participants have equal paths thrugh the finals. The three divisins will cnsist f the tp, middle and bttm 33% f the averages called the A divisin, B divisin and the bttm 33% f averages called the C divisin. (Return T The Tp) i. Odd number f finalists - If there is an dd number f finalists then the dd bwler ut will g int the divisin that their average is clsest t. If there is a tie between the differences the dd bwler will randmly draw fr what divisin they bwl in. ii. Finalists With The Same Average In the event that the middle tw averages are the same, bwlers will draw t determine which divisin they bwl in fr the finals. (Return T The Tp) b. Standard Finals Frmat i. Quarter Finals Quarter finalists will bwl 3 games and will cut t the tp 1 in 3 players in each divisin. (See Chapter 2 Rule 5 Runding fr mre inf) 1. Incentive Fr Leading Quarter Finals The player that leads the quarter finals rund in each divisin will receive the benefit f chsing which pair their divisin bwls the first 5

6 rund f the semifinals. The divisin leaders will chse in rder based n their quarter finals pin fall. ii. Semi - Finals The semifinals frmat will be depend n hw many bwlers make the 1 in 3 quarter finals cut. Use the chart belw t determine the frmat used based n number f semifinalists. If the number f finalists is nt indicated n this chart, the frmat used will be annunced during the turnament finals. (Return T The Tp) Frmat Per Pair Heads Up Bth # f semifinalists iii. Seeding Fr Match Play Seeding will be based ff f the ttal pin fall accumulated during the quarter finals. If there is a tie, the tie will be brken by ttal pin fall accumulated during each players qualifying squad. Turnament directr will decide n which seeds bwl which seed. 1. Highest Seed Chses Pair During all semi-final runds the highest seed in each match will chse the pair that the match is bwled n. The turnament directr decides n which pairs are available t chse frm. iv. Per Pair This frmat will put semi-finalists n ne pair f lanes. They will bwl 1 game t determine which players advance. If there are 3 players n a pair then 1 will advance. If there are 4 r 5 players n a pair then 2 will advance. There will nt be mre then 5 n a pair r less than 3 n a pair fr this frmat. (Return T The Tp) v. Heads Up This frmat will have 2 bwlers bwl against each ther in a 1 game match with the winner advancing. (Return T The Tp) vi. Bth In the event that the number f semi-finalists isn t an increment where ne frmat will wrk. Bth frmats will be used until divisinal champins are determined. (Ex. 5 semi-finalists wuld bwl the first rund f semi-finals using the Per Pair frmat with 2 advancing ff f that pair. Then the tw players wuld bwl in the heads up frmat t determine the divisin champin.) (Return T The Tp) vii. Frmats Fr Majrs The fllwing majrs will use alternate frmats fr the final match nly. 1. Labr Day Stepladder final match with seeding being based n quarter finals ttal pin fall including handicap. 2. Memrial Day Eliminatr final match with the 3 divisin champins bwling 1 game and the lw player eliminated. The final match will be between the remaining 2 players. 4. Cut/Cash Rati There will be a cut/cash rati used t determine the finalists and cashers f any side events. Which cut/cash rati is used is based n the rund, turnament frmat and/r side event. Hwever, all cut/cash ratis will always be advertised n site at each event, n every event flyer, and nline at aht.strikefrcetur.cm under the events flyer. (Return T The Tp) a. Divisinal Insurance Players may purchase insurance when they check in fr each squad. Insurance allws the highest finisher in each divisin that didn t make the cut, but purchased insurance, t still make the finals. (Return T The Tp) 5. Runding In the event that the amunt f entries and/r quarter finalists desn t equal a number that is evenly divisible by the cut/cash rati, the amunt f participants advancing and/r cashing will be runded dwn unless the amunt is 1 away frm being divisible by the cut/cash rati (ex. 1 in 5 rati = 39 entries wuld take 8 finalists but 38,37,36 and/r 35 entries wuld nly take 7 finalists). a. One Away Rule This rule will nly be used fr the qualifying runds. The cut ratis in the quarter and semifinal runds will be hard cuts. 6

7 6. Lane Cnditins The lane cnditins used will always be at the discretin f the turnament directr and/r bwling center and will always be advertised if it s a specialty pattern. (Return T The Tp) 7. Lane Mvement During any turnament frmat, participants will mve frm pair t pair after each game. The amunt f lanes that the participants mve will be based n the fllwing frmula: # f pairs in use, divided by the amunt f games bwled fr that rund, with the slutin being runded dwn. (ex. 10 pairs in use divided by a 3 game frmat wuld equal a lane mvement f bwling n the 3 rd pair t yur right after each game. 8. Lane Assignments Lane assignments are given t bwlers t determine which lanes they will start n. Lane assignment will always cnsist f a lane number and a letter. (ex. 21A) Hw lane assignments are given depends n whether it is squads r finals. (Return T The Tp) a. Squads Bwlers may request t bwl with certain bwlers during qualifying if there is lane availability. Hwever a bwler CANNOT request a certain lane t start n. Lane assignments during qualifying will be chsen by the turnament sign in staff, and will always be in a set rder. b. Quarter Finals The lane assignments during the finals will be randm draw. Each participant will draw fr their lane assignment. (Return T The Tp) c. Maximum Number f Bwlers Per Pair - The maximum amunt f participants per a pair f lanes will be 6. If all pairs have 6 n a pair and there is n mre lane availability, then n mre entries will be accepted. (Return T The Tp) 9. Turnament Entry Pririty Lane assignments fr each squad will be given ut n a first cme first serve basis, unless there is a waiting list frm the prir squad as described in rule (9.a.) belw. In that case, the waiting list will be cleared first and then entries are taken n a first cme first serve basis. a. Waiting List In the event that a qualifying squad fills up, any bwlers present and desiring t bwl but shut ut frm that squad will immediately be eligible t be put n a waiting list. 10. Scre Keeping Scre keeping is dne by the bwlers. All participants bwling the turnament are expected t knw all f the scre keeping prtcl. (Return T The Tp) a. Scre keeping respnsibility - It is each individual s respnsibility t write dwn their wn scre and insure its authenticity. If any bwler des nt write dwn their scre and their scre is nt retrievable by the bwling center, then every bwler n that pair f lanes has t be in agreement n the exact value f the missing scre. If the pair is nt sure what the bwler scred, the scre will result in a 0. i. Accessible & Visible Scres Every participant s recap must be accessible and visible by all players n that pair and SFTAHT staff at any time. Recaps must be put in the settee area at all times. This means keeping yur recap in things like a bwling bag, pcket, purse, accessry bag r any item that cnceals yur recap is prhibited. (Return T The Tp) b. Verifying scres Players must verify each ther s scres after each game. They can nt sign fr their wn scres. Players cannt mve n t the next pair until their scres have been verified by the lane mnitr. (Return T The Tp) c. Scre Cntests If a scre was put in incrrectly when ding averages and is discvered by a bwler, the cntest must be filed within 30 days f the cnclusin f the turnament with the incrrect scre. After that, n changes can be made. 11. Tied scres (Return T The Tp) a. Qualifying & Ecnmy Parlays If any participants tie and that scre is the last scre that is awarded a prize, then all players with that scre will be awarded the prize. i. Divisinal Insurance Clarificatin If tw bwlers tie fr the divisinal insurance, then bth bwlers will advance. If tw bwlers tie fr the last spt fr the 1 in 5 cut and bth are in the divisinal insurance, the 2 nd player will advance as the divisinal insurance. (Return T The Tp) b. Quarters, Semis and Finals When any players tie during any f these runds. A 9 th & 10 th frame sudden death rll ff will be held t determine which persn advances. If the finalists tie again during the rll 7

8 ff, additinal 9 th & 10 th frame rll ffs will be used until the tie is brken. Handicap fr the tw frames will be determined based n the participant s current handicap per game divided by 5. Any decimal frm the divisin is still cunted when determining scres. c. Side Events (See Chapter 3 Rule 3 fr mre inf n side events ). Hw ties wrk in side events depends n which side event is being participated in. (Return T The Tp) i. Brackets If any tw players tie in a bracket bth players will advance in the bracket, and the next bracket rund will be determined between three players. The highest scre between thse three players will mve n t the next rund f the bracket. If a tie advances tw players int the final rund f the bracket, the highest scre between the tw tied players will g against the player cming frm the ther bracket t determine cashers. Sweepers, High Game Pts & Mmma s Mystery Scre If there is a tie fr a cashing scre in any f these events, the players invlved in the tie will split equally the sum f winnings fr all cashing psitins ccupied by the tied scre. (Return T The Tp) 12. Persnal Assistance Certain prblems can ccur that will need certified turnament r center staff t crrect the prblem. Ding anything utside f the fllwing prtcl is prhibited and will be deemed level 1 miscnduct at the minimum. (Return T The Tp) a. Scre crrectin If all bwlers n the pair are aware f the scring malfunctin and they are all in agreement f the necessary crrectin needed then any participant wh is able t make the scre crrectin may d s. If nt, please ntify either center r turnament staff t make the crrectin. b. Dead wd r Objects Participants are strictly prhibited frm retrieving dead wd r any ther bjects past the ful line. These items must be retrieved by turnament r center staff. c. Bwling n the wrng lane r ut f turn If a participant bwls n the wrng lane r bwls ut f turn, turnament staff must be ntified immediately. The turnament staff will then handle the situatin accrding t USBC rules. If the player bwled 1 frame ut f rder, the frame will be erased and rebwled. If there are numerus frames that have been bwled ut f rder and the pair cannt cme t an agreement n each persn s prper scre, all frames will be erased and rebwled. (Return T The Tp) d. Center equipment malfunctins If any equipment belnging t the bwling center malfunctins, ntify turnament r center staff immediately. (Return T The Tp) e. Misc. Assistance Any ther assistance that may be needed that is nt listed here must first be brught t the attentin f turnament staff befre further actin is taken. 13. Hnr scres SFTAHT is a USBC sanctined turnament. This means all USBC award s rules apply, and all USBC awards can be earned during turnament play. (Return T The Tp) a. Track Bwling Ball Clause Any bwler bwling an hnr scre (300,800) exclusively with a Track bwling ball will receive a cmplimentary Track bwling ball f their chice. Hwever, Track has the right t advertise the stry and hnr scre n their website at Chapter 3 Prize Funds & Entry Fees 1. Qualifying Entry On site at every event and nline there will always be a breakdwn f hw each entry fee is divided up. The entry fee will be brken int the fllwing categries: (Return T The Tp) a. Lineage This dllar amunt will be used t pay fr all games bwled. This dllar amunt als includes the games that are bwled in the finals. (Return T The Tp) b. Side Events Side events cnsist f ptinal events that players can chse frm. The fllwing is an explanatin f each side event and hw all funds cllected fr that side event are distributed. Keep in mind, there is n expense fr lineage in side events because lineage will be cvered in the qualifying entry fee, the ecnmy parlay r the lineage fee (See Chapter 3 Rule 3.e - Lineage Fee fr mre inf). a. Brackets A bracket cnsists f 8 players and three runds. In the first rund 8 players will face ff in bracketed heads up match play with an individual game scre determining which player advances t the next rund. In the secnd rund the remaining fur players will face ff in bracketed heads up match play with an individual game scre determining which player advances t the next rund. In the final rund the remaining tw players will have either an individual game scre (3 game frmats) r their ttal squad pin fall (2 game frmats) determine the winner f the bracket. Bth players in the final rund will cash. (Return T The Tp) i. Funds distributin - The expense mney taken ut will always be the cst f each bracket. (ex. If the brackets are $5.00 each then the SFTAHT will take ut $5.00 frm each bracket fr expenses.) Sweepers Sweepers are a side event based n yur ttal pin fall fr the squad. Sweepers will pay 1 in 5. Players can cash multiple times if multiple squads are available. It will be indicated n site at each event if the sweeper will be divisinal r nt. (Return T The Tp) i. Expenses This dllar amunt will be used t pay fr all f the sweeper expenses. Sweeper expenses include supplies, web site hsting & maintenance, and SFTAHT emplyees. ii. Prize fund This dllar amunt will be the amunt ging twards the prize fund c. Divisinal Insurance A minimum f tw bwlers in each average divisin per day that dn t make the cut in their average divisin r as a senir r wmen and paid fr divisinal insurance will still advance. Fr every 30 qualifying entries in a divisin, tw spts will be added with divisinal insurance. (Return T The Tp) i. Funds Distributin - Mney used t pay fr divisinal insurance will g t pay fr the additinal spt in the finals created by the divisinal insurance. (Return T The Tp) d. Senirs & Wmen s Insurance Entry fee allws 1 in 25 senirs and/r wmen per day wh dn t make the cut in their average divisin t still advance. Senirs must be 50 years ld r lder. Funds Distributin - All mney cllected fr the senirs and wmen s insurance will be used t pay fr the additinal spts in the quarter finals that are created by this divisin. (Return T The Tp) e. Mmma s Mystery Scre Players that enter will keep track f what their scratch scre is fr game #2. After the squad is cmpleted a scre will be drawn randmly that will be between 130 and 300. If a player bwled the drawn scre during game 2, and was entered int Mmma s Mystery Scre, they will win 50% f the pt. i. Funds Distributin All mney that is cllected fr Mmma s Mystery Scre will be paid back ut when players win. The pt will always accumulate and anytime a winner is drawn they can nly win up t 50% f the verall pt. 9

10 f. Lineage fee (Pacing) If a player has already qualified fr the finals they can chse t nly bwl side events. Players ding this will have t pay a lineage fee since nne f the fees fr side events include a lineage fee. In the event that a squad is reaching maximum capacity, players paying fr qualifying entries will take pririty ver players nly bwling fr side events. The lineage fee will be psted at each event. 4. Prize Funds The prize fund f each event will be the sum f a designated amunt f mney fr that event. Infrmatin will be available at the turnament sign in desk indicating hw much f each entry is designated twards the prize fund. (Return T The Tp) a. USBC Rules All prize funds will fllw all USBC rules regarding turnament prize funds. b. Yuth Prizes Any yuth bwler wh cmplies with all USBC rules will receive their winnings in schlarship. Prgressive Pt Prgressive pt is an ptinal side pt that is based n a separate prize fund. The nly time a player can win frm the prgressive pt is by cashing in the quarter finals. Each player must pay fr the prgressive pt when the qualifying entry fees are paid. Als, a player must have paid fr the prgressive pt fr the squad in which they advanced t the quarter finals. The ttal prgressive pt prize fund will be distributed incrementally based n finishing psitins until all mney cllected in the prgressive pt is paid ut 100%. The fee fr the prgressive pt will be psted n each event flyer and n site at each event lcatin. (Return T The Tp) 6. Timely Payuts SFTAHT will strive t have the fastest pay uts and will always try t distribute prizes as quickly as pssible. Hwever, the nly rule that SFTAHT will abide by is the USBC rule that states that a USBC sanctined turnament has 30 days upn the cmpletin f the event t pay all f the prize winners. (Return T The Tp) Chapter 4 Averages & Divisins 1. Averages Averages will be used t determine each participant s handicap and which divisin they bwl in. There are different factrs that determine a bwler s average. A new member will use an entering average until he/she has a SFTAHT turnament average. (Return T The Tp) 2. Entering average A bwlers entering average will always be a cmpsite f all f their USBC certified averages f 33 games r mre that were established in their last three bwling seasns. (Return T The Tp) a. Entering average frmula A player s cmpsite entering average is the sum f all f their eligible averages (33 games r mre) divided by the ttal number f eligible averages minus twenty pins. Any sprt average will be adjusted accrding t UBCS s sprt average cnversin chart befre being calculated int the frmula. All averages will be runded t the nearest whle number. (Return T The Tp) b. N USBC average If a member has n USBC averages, then the member will use an entering average resulting in n handicap fr the first 9 games bwled. (Return T The Tp) 3. SFTAHT Turnament Average This will be the average that is used during all SFTAHT events. Our gal is t be fair as pssible when it cmes t participants cmpeting with an average that truly reflects their ability. We will d ur abslute best t deter any sand bagging while als never trying t inflate a player s average in an unfair manner. (Return T The Tp) a. First Event- Players bwling their first event will have their turnament average based n their entering average fr the first turnament. (See Chapter 4 Rule 2.a Entering Average Frmula fr mre inf). 10

11 i. 30 Game Rule New players will have their entering average multiplied by 30 games t establish pin fall. This is dne t try and prevent sand bagging by eliminating drastic increases r decreases in average. (Return T The Tp) b. Established Turnament Average Once a player has bwled a turnament and has an average based n Rule 3.a & 3.a.i in Chapter 4, they will be cnsidered t have an established turnament average. c. Average Fluctuatin Average fluctuatin is the ability fr each player s average t change after an event has cmpleted. Average fluctuatin is never used while a turnament is in prgress. The player s average may g up r dwn after each event based n average fluctuatin. (This is the same prcess that is used fr USBC leagues.) (Return T The Tp) i. Frmula Fr Average Fluctuatin Average Fluctuatin = ttal pins divided by the amunt f games bwled. (Return T The Tp) ii. Pacing Rule If a player is ever pacing (See Chapter 3 Rule 3.e Linage Fee (Pacing)), their scres will nt cunt tward their average fluctuatin. iii. Huse Sht Exemptin If a huse sht is either intentinally r accidentally put dwn fr an event, thse scres wn t cunt twards average fluctuatin. d. Accmplishment Rerates There may be re-rates t each bwlers average based n certain accmplishments as fllws: i. Standard & Minr Turnament Victry This rerate may be an additin f 2-3 pins t the player s average. (See Chapter 2 Rule 1.a Fr Event Types) ii. Standard & Majr Turnament Finalist This rerate may be an additin f 1-2 pins t the player s turnament average. iii. Majr Turnament Victry This rerate may be an additin f 3-5 pins t the player s average. iv. Making Cnsecutive Semi Finals This rerate may be an additin f 1-2 pins t the player s average. e. 90 Day Rule Any player wh currently has a SFTAHT turnament average but hasn t bwled an event in 90 days may have an average review dne and be re-rated befre bwling in that event. f. Seasn Average Reset When the SFTAHT seasn starts ver in January every player s previus seasn average will carry ver t the new seasn. (Return T The Tp) i. Quarterly Average Reset When a quarter starts every player s previus average will carry ver t the new quarter. Hwever, the player s amunt f games bwled will be reset t 30 and the player s pin fall will be reset t their previus quarter s final average multiplied 30 games. Each quarter will be the same time frame as the seasnal circuits. (See Chapter 5 Rule 1.a Seasnal Circuits) 1. Frequent Bwler Cntingency If a bwler has ver 50 games in a quarter, then their average will be reset t be based ff f 42 games instead f Handicap Each player s handicap will be added t their single game scre. (Return T The Tp) a. Handicap frmula Handicap will be based n 80% f 210. This means that nce yur average is decided, subtract yur average frm 210 and multiply the slutin by.8 r (80%) = Handicap per game (ex. Average minus 190 = 20. Multiply 20 x.8 = 16 pins f handicap). b. Maximum handicap The maximum amunt f handicap per game will be 64 pins. (Return T The Tp) c. Runding In the case that a player s handicap desn t equate t a whle number, the decimal will drp ff. (ex. 190 average = 31.5 handicap/runds t 31 handicap) 5. Turnament Directr Rerates The turnament directr has the right t rerate r disqualify a bwler t prtect the integrity f the turnament. (Return T The Tp) 6. Bwler Grwth Rule If a player has been bwling in a SFTAHT seasn fr at least 21 games (des nt include games frm 21 Game Rule ) and has a SFTAHT average that is greater than 225 after a turnament has 11

12 cncluded, he/she will be mved t an average with n handicap and will n lnger be eligible fr average fluctuatin (will never receive handicap). (Return T The Tp) a. 4 Turnament Win Maximum If any player wins 4 turnaments (Minr, Standard, Majr) in a single seasn, and all 4 turnament wins were with n handicap, the player will be suspended fr the rest f the seasn. 7. Qualifying divisins All players bwling in any qualifying squad will be divided int three divisins based n average. The three divisins will be the fllwing: (Return T The Tp) a. A divisin This divisin will cnsist f members averaging 185 and abve. b. B divisin This divisin will cnsist f members averaging between 171 and 184. c. C divisin This divisin will cnsist f members averaging 170 and belw. 8. Seasn Rules The rules that are used fr each event during the current seasn will always be available nline at aht.strikefrcetur.cm/rules. a. Rule Changes Rule changes may be made after the cnclusin f each seasn. Hwever, nce a new seasn starts, all rules are final and will stay unchanged fr the remainder f that seasn. Any rule changes that may ccur must be decided and agreed upn by the bard f directrs. Additinally, every seasn there will be a page available nline at aht.strikefrcetur.cm t explain the rule changes and additins that were made prir t the start f the seasn. (Return T The Tp) b Additins All f the rules that have been added t the rule bk fr the 2015 seasn will be pen fr review at the mid-seasn meeting in Due t the impact f sme f the rules vted in, the membership has decided that it wuld be in the best interest f the club t revisit the additins in 6 mnths instead f waiting a full year. c. Minimum # f Members There must be a minimum f 20 peple at any meeting fr any rule t be vted in and added t the rules immediately. If there are less than 20 peple at the meeting then all rules vted in will be reviewed and apprved r disapprved by the Bard f Directrs befre being fficially added t the rules. d. Minimum # Of Events T Vte Players must have bwled 1/3 f nn-fun events that seasn t vte n any f the rules at any meeting. They can attend the meeting and express cncerns etc. Other members can mtin and vte t address their cncerns, but they cannt unless they have the minimum number f events bwled. Chapter 5 SFTAHT Seasns & Pint System 1. Seasn The turnaments will be brken up int separate seasns. Each seasn will begin n the first day f the year and end n the last day f the year. a. Seasnal Circuits These circuits will cnsist f the stated mnths; Winter Circuit(January, February, March), Spring Circuit (April, May, June), Summer Circuit (July, August, Octber), and Fall Circuit (September, Nvember, and December). 2. SFTAHT Seasn Pint System There will be a pint system used t determine a variety f prizes fr multiple events thrughut the entire seasn. Pints will be tallied during each circuit and fr the entire seasn. 3. Accumulating Seasn Pints Belw are all f the ways that yu can accumulate seasn pints. a. Participatin Players can receive 20 pints fr participating in any nn-fun SFT AHT event. (Return T The Tp) i. True Amateur Turnament (TAT) Members will receive 50 pints fr bwling the TAT. b. Turnament Finish Yu will receive 1 pint fr every dllar yu win in the turnament prize fund nly (side events dn t cunt). This des nt include prgressive pt winnings. Year End Invitatinal There will be a yearend invitatinal where any bwlers nt winning exemptins will be invited t cmpete fr additinal prizes. The amunt f bwlers invited and prizes being bwled fr will be annunced at sme pint during each seasn. 9. Circuit Awards Each circuit will feature awards that bwlers will win at the end f each circuit. The awards fr each are listed belw. a. All 4 Circuits Will Pay Out The Fllwing: i. 1 st Place 3 Qualifying Entries, 2 Ecnmy Parlays, Special Circuit Winner Pl, 20 additinal raffle tickets and a Track high perfrmance bwling ball f yur chice. ii. 2 nd Place 2 Qualifying Entries, 1 Ecnmy Parlay, 10 raffle tickets and a Track plyester ball with an ptin t upgrade t any ball fr $75. iii. 3 rd Place 1 Qualifying Entry, 1 Ecnmy Parlay, 10 additinal raffle tickets, free ne year membership. iv. 4 th Place - 1 Qualifying Entry, 1 Ecnmy Parlay b. Back T Back Winning N player can win back t back circuits. If a player finishes in 1 st after winning the previus circuit, they will be pushed t 2 nd and the 2 nd place finisher will be deemed the circuit winner. 13

14 10. Event Exemptin This allws a bwler t be seeded directly in the first rund f the quarter finals. If there are n finals in the turnament, then the exemptin cannt be used fr that turnament. They d nt have t pay any fee. Hwever, t be eligible fr the prgressive pt, an entry fee fr the prgressive pt must still be paid. a. Exemptin Expiratin All event exemptins expire 365 days frm being awarded. A player may redeem the exemptins prir t expiratin fr $50 per exemptin (last place check w/ prgressive). b. Earning Pints If Exempt - If a player is exempt fr a turnament, that player is ineligible fr any pints fr that event. (Return T The Tp) c. Earning Pints If Nt Exempt If a player isn t exempt fr an event, they may earn pints fr that event based n the rules f earning seasn pints stated in Chapter 5 sectin 3. d. Using Exemptins Players that have a certain number f exemptins and can chse t use their exemptins whenever they wuld like. Hwever, n exemptins can be used during Majr Events.
