1 TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE FIFA INTERACTIVE WORLD CUP 2009 ( FIWC ) The FIWC is an event rganised under the auspices f the Fédératin Internatinale de Ftball Assciatin (FIFA) ( FIFA ), and is prduced in clse assciatin with Electrnic Arts Inc., 209 Redwd Shres Parkway, Redwd City, CA 94065, United States f America ( EA ) and Sny Cmputer Entertainment Inc, Minami Ayama, Minatku, Tky, , Japan ( PS ). The FIWC is cmprised f a number f preliminary turnaments (each knwn as a Qualifier Turnament ) at lcatins arund the wrld where cmpetitrs will play against each ther using EA SPORTS FIFA 09 electrnic ftball game, and PlayStatin 3 game cnsles, in a skill-based cmpetitin frmat t determine the winners f each Qualifier Turnament, and an FIWC Online turnament played n PLAYSTATION Netwrk (knwn as the FIWC Online Turnament ), as described mre fully at and n the PLAYSTATION Netwrk. The winners f each Qualifier Turnament and the winners f the FIWC Online Turnament will then cme tgether fr a single event ( the FIWC09 Grand Final ) t determine the ultimate FIWC winner, wh shall becme the FIFA Interactive Wrld Player These Terms and Cnditins herein set ut the rules which shall gvern the FIWC Qualifier Turnaments, the FIWC Online Turnament and the FIWC09 Grand Final. By entering the FIWC, all Applicants and Players accept and agree t abide by these terms and cnditins. 1. Qualificatin The FIWC is pen t members f the public, hwever places are limited and therefre FIFA has established an applicatin prcedure t determine wh may participate in the FIWC (participants are knwn as Players ). Members f the public may participate in the FIWC by the fllwing means: Live Qualifier Turnaments: In many territries Qualifier Turnaments fr the FIWC09 Grand Final shall be staged. Players may be required t satisfy any qualifying criteria put in place by FIFA befre they may participate in a Qualifier Turnament. FIFA shall infrm Players abut the details and rules regarding Qualifier Turnaments (if any) by way f the fficial FIWC pages n the FIFA website, via lcal media, r via EA and/r PS. All details and rules fr each Qualifier Turnament will als be available n site at thse events. These Terms and Cnditins shall apply t such Qualifier Turnaments, unless specifically stated therwise. The (ne) winner frm each Qualifier Turnament will qualify fr the FIWC09 Grand Final as described herein. OR FIWC Online Turnament Players can qualify fr the FIWC 09 Grand Final by registering In-Game in EA SPORTS FIFA09 t cmpete in the FIWC Online Turnament played n PLAYSTATION Netwrk. Please ensure that yu crrectly chse yur natinality during registratin fr the FIFA Interactive Wrld Cup. If yu prgress t the final and yur natinality is different t the ne yu selected yu will be autmatically disqualified frm the cmpetitin The leaderbards fr the FIWC Online Turnament will be segregated by Cnfederatin, with players qualifying fr the FIWC 09 Grand Final as fllws: UEFA The tp 5 ranked players CONCACAF The tp 2 ranked players AFC The tp 2 ranked players CONMEBOL The tp 2 ranked players CAF The tp 1 ranked player OCEANIA The tp 1 ranked player FIFA reserves the right t nminate, r t allw EA and/r PS t nminate a certain number f Players t enter a Qualifier Turnament, r the FIWC09 Grand Final in additin t Applicants wh have entered in the manner described abve. There is a limit f ne (1) entry per persn per Qualifier Turnament. A winner f a Qualifier Turnament is nt eligible t cmpete in anther Qualifier Turnament. Players f any age may participate in the FIWC, unless specified therwise in relatin t the FIWC Online Turnament n the PLAYSTATION Netwrk Terms & Cnditins. Nevertheless, any participant wh is a minr, under 18 years f age, must be accmpanied during travel by at least ne adult (parent r guardian) 18 years f age r lder.

2 Emplyees f Electrnic Arts, Sny PlayStatin r FIFA and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parents, representatives, advertising, prmtin and publicity agencies and the immediate families f each are nt eligible. 2 Turnament Schedule The Qualifier Turnaments schedule will be cmmunicated by way f the fficial FIWC pages n the FIFA website, via lcal media, r via EA and/r PS. The FIWC Online Turnament is scheduled t take place frm the launch date f EA SPORTS FIFA 09 (varying between cuntries frm 26 th September t 3 rd Octber) thrugh t the 31 st March The FIWC08 Grand Final lcatin and date will als be cmmunicated by way f the fficial FIWC pages n the FIFA website, via lcal media, r via EA and/r PS. 3 FIWC09 Grand Final The FIWC09 Grand Final will be made up f 32 Players. These Players will have qualified fr the FIWC09 Grand Final via the fllwing rutes: Frm FIWC Qualifier Turnaments FIWC Online Turnament Yu will be required t present a signed cpy f these terms and cnditins (including a parental cnsent frm if yu are under 18 years f age) at registratin. The FIWC09 Grand Final shall be played in 8 grups f 4 Players, and each Player in a grup shall play the thers nce, and pints shall be awarded fr results. The tp tw Players frm each grup shall prgress t the knck-ut stages. Thse 16 Players shall then play a head t head, knck-ut turnament until we reach tw players remaining. Thse tw Players shall then play the final game f the FIWC09 Grand Final, the winner f which becmes the FIFA Interactive Wrld Player FIFA reserves the right t prvide a substitute in the event that the winner f a Qualifier Turnament is unable t take part in the FIWC09 Grand Final. Such substitute shall be the next highest ranked Player frm that Qualifier Turnament. FIFA may undertake a play-ff game in the event that there is mre than ne Player f the same rank. FIFA and/r PS and/r EA shall cver the travel and accmmdatin csts f each Player in the FIWC09 Grand Final s that they may attend the FIWC09 Grand Final. Specifically, this shall cver, in respect f each FIWC09 Grand Final participant and a guest: Ecnmy class return airfare frm the majr airprt nearest t the residence f the Finalist t the Grand Final city; Tw nights accmmdatin in a shared twin rm at a htel f FIFA s chsing in the Grand Final city; (iii) The winner f the FIWC09 Grand Final shall als be prvided with tw (2) return ecnmy class flights frm the majr airprt nearest t the residence f the winner t the lcatin f the FIFA Wrld Player Gala and a further ne night s accmmdatin, as they will be required t attend the award ceremny as described belw. FIFA and/r PS and/r EA will be respnsible fr ensuring that all travel arrangements are c-rdinated fr the FIWC09 Grand Final winner; and (iv) Airprt taxes relating t the abve flights; FIFA reserves the right t hld a Finalist respnsible fr the csts f the abve in the event that such Finalist takes the flight t the venue f the FIWC08 Grand Final but, withut gd reasn, fails t attend the FIWC09 Grand Final and/r its award ceremnies. Finalists and their guest are respnsible fr securing their wn Visa s t attend the Grand Final. The winner f the FIWC shall be awarded a trphy at the FIFA Wrld Player Gala, scheduled t take place in January The winner f the FIWC shall be entitled t retain this award and nt return it t FIFA. The winner f the FIWC shall be awarded prize mney f US $20,000 plus an all new KIA Sul car. The winner will be respnsible fr the payment f any and all taxes in respect f the prize mney and car. The runner up f the FIWC shall be awarded prize mney f US $5,000. The runner up will be respnsible fr the payment f any and all taxes in respect f the prize mney. The third place player f the FIWC shall be awarded prize mney f US $1,000. The third place player will be respnsible fr the payment f any and all taxes in respect f the prize mney. 4 General Cnduct Players must cnduct themselves in a reasnable manner, maintaining a friendly and plite demeanur t spectatrs, members f the press, turnament r league fficials, and t ther Players. Players will refrain frm using vulgar r ffensive language if such language can be heard r seen by spectatrs, ther Players r any ther persn. Abusive behaviur, including harassment and threats is prhibited.

3 Physical abuse, fighting r any threatening actin r threatening language, directed at any Player, spectatr, fficial r any ther persn is prhibited. Abuse t game statins, cntrllers r any turnament equipment is prhibited. Any actin that interferes with play f a game, including but nt limited t purpsely breaking a game statin, interfering with pwer, and abuse f in-game pausing, is prhibited. Gambling, including betting n the utcme f games, is prhibited. 5 Dress Cde Players must wear attire apprpriate t the circumstances and lcatin at which an event is taking place. This includes the award ceremny fllwing the FIWC09 Grand Final, at which the winner must wear frmal attire. Players shall nt wear, carry r bear any items f a cmmercial, religius r plitical nature, r which in FIFA s pinin reflect unfavurably upn the FIWC, FIFA, any FIFA event, EA r PS. Players are prhibited frm wearing headsets and may nt listen t any music during FIWC Turnaments. Dress cde vilatins will result in a warning. If a Player fails t crrect the vilatin, he/she will be disqualified. 6 Drugs and Alchl Use f alchl r drugs is prhibited n the premises f, r during the attendance f, live events r turnaments, fr the duratin f the cmpetitive turnament. Players must nt be under the influence f drugs r alchl while participating. Smking is prhibited except in designated areas. 7 Availability fr Awards, Events and Ceremnies All Players must be available fr pst-turnament awards ceremnies, interviews, the FIWC09 Grand Final and the FIFA Wrld Player Gala. A Player wh fails t attend such ceremnies shall frfeit the right t any award that may be granted, r the benefit that may accmpany such award. 8 Vilatins Vilatin f any part f these terms and cnditins will, at FIFA s electin, result in immediate disqualificatin and/r lss f winner status. 9 Game Interruptins (nt relevant fr FIWC Online Turnament) If a game is interrupted intentinally by any Player, that Player will immediately be disqualified. If a game interruptin is caused by utside circumstances such as a machine errr r lss f pwer, the game shall be cntinued frm the pint f interruptin. Ntwithstanding the abve, a Player can pause the game t change strategy and/r frmatin in the event that i) a player f his team is sent ff ii) a player f his team is injured. 10 Referees (nt relevant fr FIWC Online Turnament) Referees will be n site t mnitr all game play. Referees will begin play, and will recrd scres fr each game. Referees will be identified by a special ID tag. The decisin f a referee is final. 11 Game Prcess (nt relevant fr FIWC Online Turnament) Each game will begin play at its designated time, and as designated n site at the turnament. Players nt present at the designated start time fr any match will be disqualified, and their ppnent shall prceed t the next rund f play with a 2-0 scre. Players are encuraged t be in the designated play area 15-minutes prir t game time. Players will be shwn their designated statin, shall set up the game and immediately begin play. Each Player will have 2 minutes t cnfigure cntrls, line-ups and settings in accrdance with the rules described belw under In Game Settings. Custm packages cannt be used, nr can anything else that is nt available in the in-game pause menu. Players shall be respnsible fr keeping track f game situatin s if a game is interrupted, the situatin can be restred. In all situatins pssible, turnament referees will mnitr the game situatin s that it may be restred in the event f game interruptins. Players shall raise their hands at the end f the game s a referee can recrd their scre. Only scres reprted t the referee are fficial. N replays r game interruptins, except fr designated pauses t reprt scres (if any), will be allwed.

4 Players will play their first rund at the games designated start times. Schedules fr subsequent runds will be psted at the turnament. Cntrllers are supplied by FIFA. It is the respnsibility f all Players t be familiar with the cntrller s functins and mde f peratin. If a cntrller is defective, a Player must pause the game and ntify the referee. The referee will determine the cntrller status in making such a decisin. 12 Turnament Prcess The turnament prcess fr each Qualifier Turnament will be cmmunicated n-site. The prcess f the FIWC Online Turnament shall be as described here Play schedules will be available at the relevant turnament. Times are subject t change, and annuncements will be made at the turnament fr any changes. All results, draws and fixtures will be advertised during each turnament. Players wh win as a result f byes, frfeits r disqualificatins will be given a 2-0 scre fr the win. If a game is ended by disqualificatin in the middle f the game, and the winning Player was ahead mre than tw (2) gals at the time f disqualificatin, the game scre rather than 2-0 will be the final scre. Ntwithstanding anything cntained in these terms and cnditins, in the event that Player cannt participate in any turnament r turnament match fr whatever reasn, FIFA, in its sle discretin, reserves the right t select a substitute Player, mdify the turnament structure, r reschedule turnament play. 13 Vide taping Vide taping at FIWC turnaments, fr any purpse including scuting by Players, is prhibited unless permissin has been granted by FIFA. 14 Revisins All rules are subject t change, and changes may be psted withut ntice. It is each Player's respnsibility t knw and understand the rules as they exist the day f the turnament. Changes may be made t rules r turnament frmat n the day f a turnament if necessary t accmmdate any special circumstances. 15 In-game rules fr FIWC Events All games are played n the EA SPORTS FIFA 09 n PS platfrm r apprved Dem versins f the same game N caching allwed (fr example, peple in the audience may nt advise a Player while playing) N memry cards r saved games are permitted. Cntrllers are supplied by FIFA. If a cntrller is defective, a Player can pause the game and ntify the referee. If a Player plays with a defective cntrller, all results are nevertheless valid. Game played will be KICK OFF Any regular seasn teams, as installed with the riginal game, can be selected. Bth Players can select the same team. Players may nt select any fictinal All-Star teams (e.g Classic 11) Unnecessary pauses r delays are prhibited. Any actin designed t disrupt the ppsing Player's view f the field r ability t select cntrlled players is prhibited. Gameplay Difficulty Level: Wrld Class Half Length: 5 minutes, 6 minutes fr quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals Injuries: On Offsides: On Time/Scre display: On Camera: Tele Radar: 2D r 3D Hme Aut Switching: User Settings Away Aut Switching: User Settings Vlume Settings: Default Extra Time: extra time f tw ne (1) minute halves will be played in the event f a draw after regulatin. Penalties will decide the winner if after extra time the scres are level. 16. In-game rules fr FIWC PLAYSTATION Netwrk Turnaments All games will be played as a Ranked Match with the fllwing Gameplay settings Half Length: 5 minutes Injuries: On

All decisins and rulings f FIFA are final. FIFA reserves the right t disqualify any Player frm participatin in cmpetitin at any level, any time fr any reasn. By entering the FIWC each Player: (iii) assumes sle liability fr injuries, including persnal injuries and/r damage t prperty, caused r claimed t be caused by participating in any turnament r the acceptance, shipping and handling, lss r use f any award. cnsents t the use by FIFA f his r her name, likeness and/r still r mving image n FIFA s website and in any and all publicity and advertising fr FIFA, EA, PS, the FIWC r ther prmtins by FIFA withut any further attributin, additinal ntificatin r cmpensatin, except where prhibited by law. cnsents t FIFA using the Player s cntact infrmatin fr the purpse f cntacting the Player and/r transferring the Player s cntact infrmatin t FIFA s cmmercial partners fr the purpse f allwing such partners t cntact the Player. Neither FIFA, EA, nr PS and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parents, representatives, advertising, prmtin and publicity agencies are in any way respnsible r liable fr damages, lss r injury resulting frm: (iii) lst, incmplete, incrrect, damaged, delayed r mis-directed applicatins; a Player s participatin in the FIWC r the acceptance, shipping, handling, lss r use f any award r any prtin f any award made in relatin t the FIWC; technical, hardware r sftware malfunctins, lst r unavailable netwrk cnnectins r failed, incrrect, inaccurate, incmplete, garbled r delayed electrnic r ther cmmunicatins; Players shall nt be entitled t assciate themselves with the FIWC and/r FIFA in any cmmercial r nn-cmmercial manner, nr use any intellectual prperty rights f FIFA (including the trphy), nr shall they permit any third parties t d s, withut the prir written cnsent f FIFA. These terms and cnditins shall be gverned by the laws f Switzerland. All disputes shall be submitted t arbitratin in Zurich Switzerland, in accrdance with the rules f the Swiss Chamber f Cmmerce.
