Those handsome twins are Rob 1 and rob 2, Australian hairdressers extraordinaire. The twin on the right (Rob 2) is my hairdresser whenever I go to Melbourne. (oh, be still my heart) and the longer the haircut takes, the happier I am. I get the clammy damps just looking at the photo. I was away for two dances in March, Back in the Saddle with the DJ Duke, Gary Clayton, and St. Patrick s Day, with Evelyn & Denny..I believe they were a great success, see photos on page 4. March 31 was International Night with Gary, and as usual, he did a super job. April 7 was Easter Bonnet with Mike & Joyce, we had a good turnout and M & J kept the floor filled, as usual, with happy dancers, see photos on page 5. April 21 was Buttons n Bows with DJs Diana & Tina, and we were also able to help Dolores celebrate her birthday, see photo on page 5. It s our BLACK AND WHITE BALL on May 5, with DJs Evelyn n Denny, so plan on wearing your finest, and bringing a fancy hors d oeuvre to share. Gary Davidson Sr. will be on hand to take your photo, and there will be two super door prizes. May 19 is our Cowgirls Rule western dance, with DJs Tina & Jeanette. My Favorite Color is on June 2 with DJs Diana & Tina. June 30, Red, White and Blue with Mike and Joyce...come along and celebrate Independence Day with the Country Quicksteppers. As you know, this year will be CQ s 25th BIRTHDAY BASH; there will be a professionally catered dinner, which will be free to those of you who sign up and pay your $ or $12.00 admission; we are in the throes of checking out catering services. New Club T-shirts. Turquoise with black logo...there will be sign up sheets at the front desk and as soon as we know how many are interested, we can get a quote, and hopefully place an order. It s that time again, if you re not happy with the present board, please nominate whoever you would prefer to fill the positions: ballot on page 5. Also time to renew your membership, or if you re not a member, this would be a good time to become one. Several clubs have folded, so please make sure that Country Quicksteppers survives by supporting your Club, the Club with a heart. Richard and I will not be at the May 19 dance. We are flying into Nashville, will be there 4 days, then on to Pigeon Forge where we will spend a week with Doug and Jackie Miranda who own the Grand Majestic Theater. More on that in our next issue.
