Box 4966 Foster City, CA Website: countryquicksteppers.org A note from Anni Anni Wunderlich, President Hi Everyone: First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Anonymous, for composing last month s Shooter letter while I was traveling around the land down under. He s a gem. Pocket Power on April 2 was a super dance because of the DJ Duke, GARY Clayton. We all love Gary and he did a great job of keeping the dancers happy all night. He also managed to sneak in a short comment as usual. April 16 was our Easter Bonnet dance with DJ s MIKE and JOYCE, who also did a marvelous job keeping the floor filled with happy dancers; bythe-way, Mike s Easter joke was very funny. Check out the Easter Bonnets on page 4. It s Not Easy Being Green is our dance on April 30, but there is NO DANCE ON MAY 7. Our BLACK AND WHITE BALL is on May 21, with the King NEIL Hale. Please bring a fancy hors d oeuvre to share. If you have been reading Jeanette s Monthly Financial Summary, you will notice that we have been INSIDE THIS ISSUE Pg 2 Line Dance Lessons Pg 3 Club News & Places to Dance Pg 4 Pictures Pg 5 Club Dance Schedule losing money, due to the rising costs of postage, printing, halls, insurance etc. etc. and there has also been a drop in membership and attendance, due mainly to the fact that we re going through the ummm.. maturing process. We all want to keep the Club alive and well, so the board will be meeting prior to May 21 to try and come up with some ideas to save and make some money.. the results will be presented for your vote, at a brief General Membership Meeting at the Black and White Ball. It s also time to think about new board members. Although most of the board are willing to remain, we will be losing John Gallo, Vice President and Sandy Mangold, Membership. John Swanson has offered to step back in as VP, and Marcie Walter has kindly offered to join the board. However, if anyone of you would like to be a board member and help run the club, please let us know none of us will be offended if you wish to replace us. I m almost at the end of my eighth year, you must be sick of seeing my face on this message every month, so if you would like to step in as President, please let one of the Board know. Ballots will be available at the desk. Live every day as if it s your last, do not hold grudges, love your neighbor, and DANCE FOR THE HEALTH OF IT. Cheerio, Anni
