Box 4966 Foster City, CA Website: countryquicksteppers.org A message from Anni: Anni Wunderlich, President Happy Summer everyone: Hard to believe that by the time you read this, it will be July, half way through the year. May 5: Divas have gone Cruising with DJ s Van and Celia. Quite a few of us were also Cruising with the Divas, but from all reports, it was a great dance and Van and Celia did a super job. May 19: Jungle Fever with the DJ Duke, Gary Clayton. Whoopee, my favorite short jokester. June 2: Black and White Ball, with DJ s Mike and Joyce, they always please the crowd. June 16: It s Not Easy Being Green, with DJ, Susan SPARKLES Dodge. Just like her name, Susan always brings a sparkle to the room. June 30: Red, White and Blue, with DJ s Jeanette and Bernie. I am writing this prior to the dance, but I know Jeanette and Bernie will keep you happy. Coming Up: July 7: Sports Night with our super DJ s, Mike and Joyce. July 21: DJ and Teacher Appreciation with the DJ Duke, Gary Clayton. It will be a treat to have Gary with us on this special night. This dance gives you the opportunity of showing your appreciation to our amazing Teachers and DJ s, all of whom are members of Country Quicksteppers, the Club with a Heart, where we dance for the health of it. August 18: Lovely Hula Hands, with DJ s Jeanette and Bernie. Bernie told me he s going to wear his grass skirt, I hope he doesn t forget his coconuts. Well, I have been checking the ballots, and so far no one has nominated anyone new, so guess what??? Yes, it will be the old new board once again. Surprisingly enough, we all love our jobs, and we re so well paid (lol) why not stay for another year? As Jim said to me, it s so much fun.. but then again, Jim doesn t have a life, and anything seems like fun to him. Oh, I m only joking, Jim has such a full life, I don t know how he finds time to be VP. I think next year we should have a Board and Decorating Divas Appreciation. I m so grateful to the board for volunteering their services year after year, there are never any arguments or back biting, which is a huge plus. Unfortunately we are losing Diva Irene. Due to her heavy work load, she has to resign from the Diva s. I have mentioned the board and divas, but I haven t mentioned you our members and friends for making the club so much fun for all, nor have I thanked Judy Romenenkov for her endless supply of jokes, and Mike for stepping in when Judy isn t available. And another couple we couldn t be without.. Cathy and Claudio Dacumos, they are always available to help. Don t forget to renew your membership, it s only $18.00 and when you add everything up that you get in return, membership doesn t really cost you anything. Every morning you are handed twenty-four golden hours. What will you do with your priceless treasure? Remember, you must use it, as it is given only once. Once wasted, you cannot get it back.
