Either way, Notch Rd/Trail is NOT maintained by the town. As a public Class 4 road, the property can be accessed as deemed by the owner. Notch Rd is a part of VAST (snowmobile organization), VASA (ATV/UTV organization), and a horse trail network. Road is improved as needed by the land owners and loggers that use the access. High clearance vehicle, UTV, or ATV recommended. Directions: From VT-110 in Washington turn onto West Corinth Rd, then left onto East Orange Rd, then sharp left onto Notch Rd. Property is roughly 2.2 miles from intersection of Notch Rd and Woodchuck Hollow Rd. Property will be on the right. Real Estate directional sign signifies the beginning of property. Traditional RE sign marks driveway to open area with views and trail access. Further down Notch road another directional sign signifies the end of road frontage. Access: Access is best acquired through ATV, UTV, snowmobile, walking, or snowshoeing. 14 Area Information Page 2 Rivers and Lakes Lake Morey 538 acres with a maximum depth of 43 feet. The public boat launch offers a concrete ramp and yearround recreation is permitted. Common fish species include Yellow Pirch, Northern Pike, Large & Smallmouth Bass, Bullhead, and Panfish. Waits River The Waits River is located in a wooded valley in the northeastern portion of Vermont. There is a three mile section that is of most interest to boaters located about a mile below the Waits River town put in. Lake Fairlee Lake Fairlee offers 463 acres of year round fishing, from boating in the summer to ice fishing in the winter. The lake features a concrete State of Vermont boat launch and is known for its Trout, Perch, Bass and more! Lake Groton Lake Groton (422 acres) is long and narrow in shape and lies in a north-south direction. Lake Groton is popular for all types of waterbased recreational activities and has two state parks. The fish population consists of smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, chain pickerel, yellow perch, brown bullheads, and sunfish.
