1 1. Each team must be made up f 2 participants, which can be men, wmen r a mix f bth. 2. Team members must remain tgether and within 50 feet (15 meters) f each ther at all times. 3. Team members must fllw the curse during the segments where they are instructed t d s. 4. The team must be cmpletely self-sufficient in regards t supplies, equipment and security. Therefre, it must always have all f the required equipment at all times. * See the list f mandatry equipment at the end f this dcument. 5. Teams must carry their GPS Beacn at all time frm start t finish. 6. All teams are required t render assistance t each ther in matters related t security. 7. The team must make sure t punch its passprt as prf f passage. Yu are respnsible t make sure that yur punch card has been punched clearly fr each PC during the race. Each nn visible punch will be sanctined with a time penalty crrespnding t the number f PC nt visible (see: penalties). 8. We will nt tlerate littering during the race. A team caught infringing this rule will get time penalty. All the excrements must be dug at mre than 10 m frm a water plan and tilet paper must be taken with yu t be put in a trash r in tilet later n. 9. All racers must sign a waiver prvided by the rganizatin befre the start f the race. 10. The rganizatin reserves the right t add rules specific t each race. The rules will be added t the Race dcument and racers are respnsible fr being aware f thse rules. 11. All mtrized is prhibited. 12. Sails and ther nn mtrized prpulsive mean are accepted, unless indicated therwise in certain part f the race. 13. Camping at «Village des athletes» is mandatry fr all teams Friday and Saturday night. This is dne fr security cntrl and fairness t all teams. 14. Als fr fairness, all racers have t sleep in tents n Friday and Saturday night. It s nt mandatry fr the assistants t sleep at the bivuac. 15. GPS and GPS watches are prhibited. Only Watches giving ONLY the time will be allwed. 16. The use f satellite r cellular phne is prhibited during the race. The phne must be use nly fr security matters. 17. Teams must d the check pints and transitin in the rder stipulated in the rad bk 18. Assistance team can nly help their team in the Start, finish and transitin znes. 19. Only ne (1) assistance vehicle is allwed per team in the transitin and camping znes. RVS AND TRAILERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ECO-RESPONSABILITY 19. The Gaspésie Internatinal Raid has implemented an ec-respnsible plan and the teams cmmit t respect it, ntably n the fllwing elements: - N waste r any bject abandned in nature, keep the camping sites clean. - Respect the natural envirnment, dn t break branches r remve natural features in rder t ease r t make yur way shrter. - Respect the private prperties and the ther peple enjying the natural envirnment: hikers, fishermen, etc. - Ratinalize as much as pssible the displacements, avid waste when purchasing. In general, respect the ec-respnsibility directives that culd be given during the race. PASSAGE 20. During the race, teams will pass thrugh different prperty, private r public. Please respect theses places, stay alert regarding animals and never frget t clse the gate r prtal that yu had t pen.

2 SECURITY 21. Teams participate in the event while cmplying with security rules. Whether they are event s rules r gd sense and lgic, all team members must act as respnsible individual. The behavir f a participant must never endanger their wn life r life f thers. Any breach f these principles and rules bind the persnal respnsibility f the authr and release the rganizatin frm all respnsibility. 22. The equipment specified is cnsidered the security equipment and is mandatry. It can be cntrlled by the rganizatin at any ther mment during the event. 23. It is mandatry t knw hw t swim t participate in the Raid Internatinal Gaspésie. By the nly way f registering, the participant certifies being able t swim. 24. Any default f cmplying with assistance rules t an endangered persn will be penalized with disqualificatin. 25. Weather and/r natural cnditins, r due t the demands f managing the race, the rganizatin may be in the bligatin t stp sme teams. In that event, the time will nt be stpped. 26. The rganizatin may decide t stp temprarily f permanently a team member. The nn-bservatin f their instructins leads t penalty and release the rganizatin frm all further respnsibility. 27. Prcedure in case f rescue : When an helicpter, a bat, a quad vehicle r car is in sight, lay the survival blanket n the grund t signal yur presence. A team member must make a YES sign, the arms frming a "V", if the rescue is required and whistle three cnsecutive times (lng blw). He must make a NO sign with his arms (nly ne harm up) if it is nt required. In case f emergency, any participant may infrm the rganizatin by satellite phne. 28. T resrt t the assistance f the rganizatin withut justificatin may lead t a penalty, up t the disqualificatin frm the race. The race jury will decide these penalties. 29. All team members are entirely respnsible fr their persnal items and equipment. In case f lss, theft r damage f these items r equipment, the rganizatin cannt be held respnsible in any way. MEDICAL EMERGENCY SERVICE 30. A team f first aid fficer will be respnsible fr emergency medical service. 31. The First Aid fficers f the rganizatin are either psitined is an area cnsidered imprtant by the rganizatin, either they are mbile with a vehicle when it is mre apprpriate. 32. A team may be neutralized fr «medical reasns» (accident, incident, fatigue, etc.) at its wn demand r by decisin f the rganizatin. In these instances, time will nt be stpped and the team will have t cmply with the instructins f the rganizatin. WITHDRAW 33. In case f withdraw, team member must infrm the rganizatin satellite phne r by ging t the clsest transitin area and infrming an fficial. 34. Nn-cmpliance t this bligatin may lead t, if search rescue is rganized, t the financial respnsibility, in civil and penal law, f the participant that did nt take the necessary actins t indicate their psitin. Nncmpliance t this bligatin will release the rganizatin frm all respnsibility and, therefre, f any judicial r penal actin. 35. In case f a rescue request, all team members must wait the arrival f member f the rganizatin team r a security fficial f the rganizatin. CLAIMS RACE JURY 36. Claims must be made in writing at the assistance area fllwing the prtin f the race where the team wants t file a claim. A fee f 200 $ is charge fr any claims. 37. Claims will be examined by the jury wh will hear, if it is deemed necessary, the participants affected by the claim.

The jury is made up f the fllwing: ne representative f the event rganizing cmmittee, ne representative f the technical team, ne representative f the event cmmissin and any persn frm which the presence is deemed useful by the members f the jury. 39. The jury ensures that participants cmply with the event s ethics. It is the nly judging party f the breach t the rules. It hears and assesses the claims made by participants. It can give penalty fr any breach f the rules. 40. The technical team frm the rganizatin n the field is under ath. Their testimny in frnt f the jury is deemed authentic. PARTICIPATING TERMS 41. Participants cnfirm that they are participating in the Raid Internatinal Gaspésie with full knwledge f the facts and accept the difficulty and the risks that this event may create, and state that their preparatin is apprpriate t the level f difficulty f the event and that they have the physical, technical and mral capacity t participate t the event. 42. Participants state that they have read the rules and ther dcuments, cmbined t frm the rules and regulatins f the event, and accept its terms withut reservatin, accept the security structure that the rganizatin has put in place, that they are respnsible fr any accident, whether t the equipment, their bdy, their health, r any illness related t this event, directly r indirectly caused by their participatin in the event, that may happen t them r that they culd cause t thers. 43. Participants are truly cmmitted t nt fficially assign respnsibility, nw r in the future, t the rganizing cmmittee, particularly in the event f accident, whether t the equipment, their bdy, their health, r any illness related t this event, directly r indirectly caused by their participatin in the event, that may happen t them r that they culd cause t thers. 44. The rganizatin nt being a member f a Quebec sprt assciatin, it is nt subjet t the rules and regulatins f any Quebec sprt. Therefre, participants accept that the nly standards infrced during the Event are, respectful f applicable laws, the nes stipulated in the rules bk, its appendices and ther dcuments included herein, and the instructins given by the rganizatin. Participants accept especially that the events f Raid Internatinal Gaspésie are nt systematically in accrdance with the rules f different sprts assciatins. Participants knw the specific risks related t this king f event and fully accept them, and release the rganizatin frm any respnsibility. ANTI-DOPING 45. The Organizatin f the Raid Internatinal Gaspésie fully participate in antidping fight. In that perspective, all applicable texts n the matter frm the Canadian Antidping Agency are fully recgnized and applicable during the event. Furthermre, any dping will lead t, besides the actins described in the applicable texts by the rganizatin, the fllwing actins that will be applied t the participant cnvincted f dping and t the ther members f his team, assciatin, structure, partners and spnsrs, and their representatives, jintly and indefinitely. 46. Life ban f participating in the different Endurance Aventure events r any ther events, existing r futures, rganized by the rganizing cmmittee f Raid Internatinal Gaspésie. 47. Release f this infrmatin t the all the rganizers f raid r adventure race in the wrld and request t them t apply the same penalty.
