As of our August board meeting, we only have room for (1) single guy. If you are interested, call Sam (see trip details). You can still sign up for the stand by list. If someone should have to drop out from the trip then you will be able to take their spot. See details in this newsletter. Next month is October. We will be starting our ski season. Our club meetings begin Wednesday, October 3rd at THE BAR at 2435 W. Nordale Drive on the corner of Lyndale and Northland Ave in Appleton. Socializing at 7 pm & formal meeting starts at 7:30 pm. This will be our Annual Meeting / New Comers' Meeting where we will review the financial results from our last season and our plans for the upcoming year. At this meeting we will present our ski trips for this season. There will be beer, wine and soda available along with a selection of appetizers. I encourage you all to attend to hear about our trips, along with the trips of Gelandesprung Ski Club. We have a reciprocity agreement with them so if you are a member of either club, you can also go on the other club s trips. Other locked in ski trips are: Big Snow I Jan 11-13, 2019 Big Snow II Feb 8-10, 2019 Breckenridge CO...April 3-7, 2019, Wed Sun Prices and details are still coming in but the date is locked in. We will lock in pricing after Southwest releases their pricing in the near future. Would you like to be a trip leader for one of these trips? Contact a board member or volunteer at one of our ski meetings. It s a great way to meet new people, help out YOUR club and save some cash at the same time. Our meetings for October are Wednesday, Oct 3rd and 17th at The Bar, 2435 W. Nordale Drive, Appleton. Speakers / Demonstrations / Informational.If you know someone that would like to come in and share with the club at one of our meetings, get their contact info and share it with me so we can get it scheduled during the year. Cancellations made 50 to 10 days prior to departure for any reason will be charged a cancellation fee amounting to the trip deposit as stated in the trip guide or sign up form. 3. Cancellation fees may be waived if the spot can be filled from the waiting list or by the canceling member. 4. The Club will make the effort to recover costs such as hotel, lift tickets, and refund these after the trip is completed however the initial deposit will be forfeited. 5. We are off to Searchmont Ontario. [YOUR PASSPORTS IS REQUIRED] If you haven t been there. you will be pleasantly surprised with this weekend trip out of the country. 2- nights lodging will be at the Algoma Watertower Inn just a short ride from Searchmont. Breakfast INCLUDED both mornings. Dinner is on your own at Casey s or surrounding Sault Ste Marie establishments. T ravel included in the comfort of a Deluxe Motor Coach with snacks & beverages. This trip INCLUDES lift tickets for both days.
