DISABILITY SWIMMERS: N n deck USA Swimming athlete registratin will be permitted. Age n June 24, 2016 will determine age fr the entire meet. Athletes with a disability are welcmed and shall prvide advance ntice f desired accmmdatins t the Meet Directr. FORMAT: Friday and Saturday: 13&O swimmers will swim a preliminary sessin in the mrning sessin. There will be five separate Final heats. Finals will be swum in the fllwing rder: A Final - fastest 8 athletes regardless f age B Final - fastest 8 remaining 13 year-lds C Final - fastest 8 remaining 14 year-lds D Final - fastest 8 remaining 15 year-lds E Final - fastest 8 remaining 16 & ver There will be a 10-minute break fllwing each series f events t allw fr warm-up/warmdwn f swimmers. Sunday: All 13&O swimmers will swim in the mrning pen sessin. All events are timed finals except fr Event (50 Free Sht-ut) The 50 Free Sht-ut will be a prelim/semi-final/final event Semi-finals (tp and Tp 16 senir) held fllwing Events (200 Breast) Finals held fllwing Events (200 Back) There will be a distance sessin fllwing the 13&O mrning sessin and prir t the afternn sessin. All 12&U swimmers will cmpete in the afternn sessin n Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All events are timed finals. WARM-UP: Mrning 13&O sessins: Warm-ups at 7:00 am; cmpetitin starts at 8:15 am. Afternn 12&U sessins: Friday: Warm-ups start n earlier than 11:00 am; cmpetitin start n earlier than 12:00 pm Saturday: Warm-ups n earlier than 11:00 am; cmpetitin starts n earlier than 12:00 pm Sunday: Warm-ups n earlier than 12:00 pm; cmpetitin starts n earlier than 1:00 pm. 1

2 Open distance sessins (Sunday): There will be a 10-minute warm-up starting n earlier than 11:00 am and the pen distance sessin will start n earlier than 11:15 am. If there are mre than fur ttal heats (bys and girls) there will be an additinal 10 minute warm-up perid, every third heat Finals sessins (Friday & Saturday): Warm-ups n earlier than 4:00 pm; cmpetitin starts n earlier than 5:00 pm. Friday and Saturday mrning sessins will have 10-minute breaks fllwing each series f events t allw fr warm-up/warm-dwn f swimmers. If the meet directr feel the meet sessin timeline is t lng the breaks may be curtailed. Lane assignment and warm-up times fr individual clubs will be psted n the CGBD website ( n later than Tuesday, June 21, 2016, and will als be ed t the cntact persn f the participating clubs. If the mrning sessin runs late, afternn warm-ups will begin immediately after the mrning sessin ends. ENTRIES: DEADLINE FOR THE RECEIPT OF ENTRIES IS TUESDAY, JUNE 14, 2016 Entries must be submitted in lng curse times using Hy-Tek Team Manager and Cmmlink-2 sftware, r n a VSI master entry sheet. Teams submit entries via . A Team Manager printut f entries must be included r the meet checklist/summary sheet with the name, phne number, and address f the persn t cntact in case f questins must accmpany the entries, regardless f hw they are submitted. Cach Times (CT) will be accepted fr events in which a swimmer des nt have a time f recrd. CT must be slwer than an A time. All entry times ther than CT must have been achieved in USA Swimming sanctined, apprved, r bserved cmpetitin. N Time (NT) entries will nt be accepted. Swimmers may enter a maximum f three (3) individual events per day. Entries will be prcessed in the rder received and accepted t the greatest extent pssible withut exceeding the 4-hur/sessin timeline limit. The Meet Directr reserves the right t limit entries in any events, if necessary, t prevent t lengthy a sessin. IMPORTANT: If payment is sent via Express Mail/FedEx/Airbrne/UPS/etc., please ensure that a signature is NOT required fr delivery as this will delay the receipt f yur entries. AWARDS: 13&O sessin events will be awarded medals fr first thrugh third place; ribbns furth thrugh eighth place. All events will be awarded separately as Overall Tp 8, 13, 14, 15, 16 & Over 50 Freestyle Sht-ut will be awarded medals fr first thrugh third place; ribbns furth thrugh eighth place. Each event will be given awards separately fr the 10&U and age grups SEEDING: All events will be pre-seeded with the exceptin f the fllwing events that will require a psitive check-in at the Clerk f Curse: Event #7-8 (400 13&O Free), (12&U 400 Free), (13&O 400 Medley), and (12&U 400 Medley) by the end f warm-up n the day the event is t be swum. 2

3 PENALTIES: Event #45-46 (800 Free) by 9:30 am Sunday SWIMMERS FAILING TO POSITIVELY CHECK-IN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SWIM THE EVENT. Events #45-46 (800 Free) will be swum fastest t slwest, alternating girls then bys. Penalties fr entries using fraudulent and/r nn-verifiable entry times: Swimmer shall be marked as exhibitin fr the event entered illegally and the event shall be re-scred and awarded. Club may be fined $100 fr each ffense, and a recrd f such ffenses shall be kept and published as part f the fficial meet results. Clubs entering swimmers nt legally registered with USA Swimming befre the first day f the meet may be fined $100 per swimmer in each event s entered. If the swimmer is representing a club in cmpetitin, the fine will be levied n the Club. If the swimmer is unattached, the fine will be levied n the swimmer. RULES: The current USA Swimming Rules and Regulatins will apply. OFFICIALS: SAFETY: Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA-S member cach as being prficient in perfrming a racing start r must start each race frm within the water. When unaccmpanied by a member-cach, it is the respnsibility f the swimmer r the swimmer s legal guardian t ensure cmpliance with this requirement. The verhead start prcedure will be used at the discretin f the Referee. The scratch prcedures listed in current USA Swimming Rules and Regulatins, Article , sectins D and E will apply with the fllwing mdificatins: The scratch rule regarding finals will apply t all heats. Use f audi r visual recrding devices, including cell phnes, is nt permitted in changing areas, rest rms r lcker rms. In additin, phtgraphy behind the blcks is nt permitted. Changing int r ut f swimsuits ther than in lcker rms r ther designated areas is nt apprpriate and is PROHIBITED. In accrdance with VSI best practices, all swimmers shuld shwer befre entering the pl. In accrdance with VSI Plicy, nly thse caches wh have current, valid USA Swimming credentials will be permitted t act in a caching capacity at this meet Caches wh have valid USA Swimming credentials but wh are unable t prvide them upn request will be issued temprary credentials by the meet directr Caches with expired r nn-current credentials will be required t leave the deck area. Swimmers are expected t prvide their wn timers and lap cunters fr the Sunday distance sessin, events (800 Freestyle) GENERAL: Swimmer / Spectatr Cnduct: Each club is respnsible fr supervising the cnduct f its swimmers / spectatrs. Any swimmer / spectatr wh vilate Aquatic Center rules (psted at the pl and included in the Prgrams) will be disqualified frm the meet and escrted frm the facility. Please nte that the City f Newprt News prhibits fd f any kind in the pl area; 3

4 FACILITY RULES: DIRECTIONS: permissible beverages inside the pl area are limited t thse in clsed, plastic cntainers. Deck Access: Access t the pl deck will be strictly cntrlled. Swimmers (during their events), caches, fficials, and event staff nly will be permitted access t the deck during warm-ups and cmpetitin. Spectatrs must remain behind the rpes while mving t/frm their seats. Team Areas: Team seating will be available in the pl and gym area. Please nte that the City f Newprt News requires everyne leaving the pl area and entering any ther part f the facility t wear shes (r sandals). Spectatr Seating: Bleacher seating will be available fr spectatrs. Please nte that the City f Newprt News prhibits clers r chairs in the pl area. Team Banners: Team Banners can nt be hung frm a water return pipe that runs ver the team seating areas. Prgrams: Meet Prgrams will be sld fr $8.00. Snack Bar: CGBD will perate a Cncessins Stand during the meet. Swim Supplies: CGBD will perate a Swim Shp during the meet. First Aid: A staffed First Aid Statin is lcated at end f the pl near the entrance t the Lcker Rms. Lst and Fund: Lst and Fund will be lcated next t the Annuncer s Table. Hspitality: CGBD will perate a Hspitality Rm fr all caches and fficials during the meet. Breakfast and Lunch will be prvided bth days. Park nly in designated (marked) parking spts. Overflw parking is available at Hines Middle Schl (next dr). Each team is respnsible fr the cnduct f their athletes. Parents are respnsible fr any siblings brught t the meet. Drinks in clsed cntainers (e.g., sprts bttles with screw-n tps, plastic bttles with screw-n tps) are acceptable. N clers in the pl area. They are allwed in the Gym. N spectatr chairs in the pl area. Adequate seating is available and deck space is limited. They are allwed in the Gym. Spectatrs nly in the spectatr seating areas (adjacent t the cmpetitin end f the pl). Swimmers and their equipment shuld remain in the team seating areas (adjacent t the WU/CD end f the pl r in the Gym.). N shaving anywhere in the venue. N running r hrseplay in the facility. Shes/sandals must be wrn by all in/arund the recreatin center, except fr the pl area. Clean up yur area when yu leave after each sessin. Trashcans are lcated thrughut the facility.
