Nick Castellanos had a pair of hits, including a two-run home run, while Steven Moya also added two hits, including a solo home run. Bruce Rondon took the loss out of the bullpen, allowing two runs on two hits with one walk and one strikeout in 1.0 inning. The Tigers and Indians play game two of their three-game series tonight. Following the series against the Indians, the 11-game road trip con nues with four games at Toronto (July 7-11). ROSTER UPDATE: The Tigers have announced the following roster moves: - Prior to yesterday's game, the Tigers placed righthanded pitcher Jordan Zimmermann on the 15- day disabled list with a right neck strain, retroac ve to July 1. - The Tigers today have placed le handed pitcher Daniel Norris on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain. - The Tigers yesterday recalled righthanded pitcher Dus n Molleken from Triple A Toledo. Molleken, who is in his second s nt with the Tigers, has pitched in 26 games, including five starts with Toledo and has a 1-3 record with one save, a 3.45 ERA (44.1IP/17ER) and 40 strikeouts. - The Tigers today have recalled righthanded pitcher Buck Farmer from Triple A Toledo. Farmer, who is in his fi h s nt with the Tigers this season, has started 10 games with Toledo and has a 1-4 record with a 6.42 ERA (40.2IP/29ER) and 33 strikeouts. NICK AT NITE: Nick Castellanos went 2x4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in last night's game. The homer was the 15th of the season for Castellanos, tying his career high for a season. Castellanos has recorded mul ple hits in eight of his last 17 games and is ba ng.324 (22x68) with nine runs scored, five doubles, one triple, two home runs and six RBI during the stretch. MOYA MASH: Steven Moya had a pair of hits, including his fi h home run of the season, in last night's game. MOLLEKEN MAKES MAJOR LEAGUE DEBUT: Dus n Molleken made his major league debut in last night's game, throwing 2.0 innings and allowing one run on three hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Molleken struck out Mike Napoli in the third inning for the first strikeout of his major league career. Molleken became the third Tigers pitcher to make his major league debut this season, joining Michael Fulmer and Warwick Saupold. RUN AT YOUR OWN RISK: James McCann threw out Jose Ramirez in the seventh inning of last night s game. McCann has now thrown out 15-of-26 base runners this season. He enters tonight s game leading the American League with a 57.7 caught stealing percentage (min. 10 stolen base a empts), while he is second with 14 catcher caught stealing. MIGGY ON THE MARK VS. CARRASCO: Miguel Cabrera has had success against tonight's Indians starter, Carlos Carrasco. Cabrera is hi ng.357 (10x28) with one double, one home run and three RBI in his career vs. Carrasco. REACHING 1,000 STRIKEOUTS: Sanchez notched the 1,000th strikeout of his major league career on July 1, 2014 against Oakland. He became just the seventh Venezuelan-born pitcher in major league history to reach the 1,000 strikeout mark. SANCHEZ CAPTURES AL ERA CROWN: Sanchez ended the 2013 season as the American League leader with a 2.57 ERA (182.0IP/52ER) to capture the ERA crown. He became the seventh pitcher in Tigers history to capture the ERA tle and the first since Jus n Verlander did so with a 2.40 ERA in JOINS FELLER WITH FIVE LOW-HIT GAMES IN FIRST 155: Sanchez fired a one-hi er in his ou ng on May 24, 2013 against the Minnesota Twins, marking the fourth one-hi er of his major league career to go along with his no-hi er on September 6, 2006 vs. Arizona. The ou ng was the 155th of his career and he joined Bob Feller as one of just two pitchers since at least 1916 to record five complete games allowing one hit-or-fewer in the first 155 games of their major league career. Feller also posted one no-hi er and four one-hi ers during that span, recording his fi h with a one-hi er in the 139th game of his career on July 12, 1940 at Shibe Park against the Philadelphia Athle cs. HISTORIC STRIKEOUT PERFORMANCE VERSUS ATLANTA: Sanchez recorded 17 strikeouts over eight shutout innings in his ou ng on April 26, 2013 against the Atlanta Braves, establishing the franchise record for strikeouts in a single game. The 17 strikeouts surpassed the previous high of 16 strikeouts accomplished by Mickey Lolich in a complete game effort on May 23, 1969, against the California Angels at Tiger Stadium. Lolich also recorded 16 strikeouts over nine innings on June 9, 1969 against the Sea le Pilots at Tiger Stadium in a game that went 10 innings. The 17 strikeouts also established a new record for most strikeouts by any one pitcher in an Interleague game, and matched the most strikeouts ever recorded by a pitcher in 8.0 innings-or-less. TOSSING A NO-HITTER: Sanchez fired a no-hi er during his rookie season with the Florida Marlins on September 6, 2006 vs. Arizona. CLEVELAND: Fulmer made his only career start vs. the Indians earlier this season on May 5 at Progressive Field and took the loss, giving up five runs on 10 hits with two walks and six strikeouts in 5.0 innings. IMPRESSIVE STRETCH: Fulmer has allowed one run-or-fewer in each of his last eight starts, which is the longest streak by a Tigers starter since at least Fulmer is one of only six pitchers since 1913 to have eight straight starts with one-or-fewer runs allowed, joining Bob Gibson (11 straight starts, June 6-July 30, 1968), Josh Johnson (8 straight starts, August 31, 2008-April 10, 2009), Johan Santana (8 straight starts (August 23-September 29, 2004) and J.R.
