Colorado returns home after this series for a five-game set, playing St. Louis Friday-Sunday and Seattle, May the Rockies are in a stretch of 15 out of 20 away from home (May 16-June 4). FEAR THE BEARD Charlie Blackmon recorded his first multi-home run game of the season Tuesday, the eighth of his career and his third at Citizens Bank Park. Blackmon reached the 40 RBI mark on Tuesday in the team s 47th game, the quickest a leadoff hitter has reached 40 RBI since the Major Leagues began recording RBI in Blackmon leads the Major Leagues in RBI (42), hits (63) and triples (6) he s tied for third in MLB, tied for second in the NL with 28 extra-base hits. The Rockies are 10-4 in their last 14 games overall with rookie starting pitchers going 8-0 in nine starts during that stretch, the longest winning streak by Rockies rookie starters in franchise history. German Márquez lowered his ERA to 3.86 after pitching six innings and allowing one run Tuesday night he has allowed two earned runs over his last three starts (0.95 ERA) Colorado rookie starting pitchers Kyle Freeland (3.31) and Antonio Senzatela (3.67) rank 12th and 16th in the National League in ERA, respectively. Senzatela owns a 6-1 record, tied for the secondmost wins in the National League Freeland s five wins are tied for fourth in the league. Jeff Hoffman has made two spot-starts for the Rockies, going 2-0 with a 2.92 ERA (12.1 IP, 4 ER), two walks and 15 strikeouts. BLAKE STREET BOMBER Carlos González hit his third home run of the season Sunday, his 200th home run as a member of the Rockies (204th of his career) he is the fifth Rockies player to hit 200 home runs with the Rockies, joining Dante Bichette (201), Vinny Castilla (239), Larry Walker (258) and Todd Helton (369). González has homered in two of his last four games and has at least one hit in 12 of his last 13 games, batting.392 (20-for-51) with five doubles, two home runs and nine RBI over that span. 2 #44 ROCKIES STARTING PITCHER TYLER ANDERSON LHP Height: 6-4 Weight: 201 Age: 27 (Dec. 30, 1989) Born: Las Vegas, Nev. Acquired: Selected in first round of 2011 draft THE MANDERSON The 27-year-old left-hander is on his first career Opening Day roster after making his Major League debut on June 12 of last season vs. San Diego. The University of Oregon product began the 2016 season on the disabled list after recovering from surgery to repair a stress fracture to his left elbow. Selected as the Rockies first-round selection (20th overall) in Major League Baseball s 2011 First-Year Player Draft was also drafted in 08 by the Minnesota Twins, but did not sign. Added to Colorado s 40-man roster in 2014 has attended Major League Spring Training four times. LAST TIME OUT Recorded his third win of the season in a 12-6 Rockies victory at Cincinnati pitched a season-high-tying six innings, allowing two runs on four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. Recorded his second quality start of the season (last: May 6 vs. Arizona). PHILLY Will be making third career start against the Phillies, second at Citizens Bank Park.
