Engineering Divisin Sidewalk prject filling the gaps All cntract items fr the 2018 Sidewalk Cntinuatin Prject are cmplete. The Engineering Department cntinues t wrk n the 2019 Sidewalk Cntinuatin prject which will be District 7 in the vicinity f Amber Avenue and Windy Way. The Engineering Department is als lking int Alder Dugan request t create a 2020 sidewalk prject within District 8 in the area f Washingtn Schl. Business 51 (Divisin Street) and Nrth Pint Drive Rundabut Prject Staff has taken the pprtunity with the replacement f pavement at Prentice Street at Schlfield Avenue t review the pedestrian crssings t ensure ADA cmpliance and verall imprve pedestrian facilities. As a result, new ramps and walk have been installed. These imprvements are als in agreement with the Prtage Cunty Safe Rutes t Schl plan. Binder curse pavement has been put dwn n Prentice Street frm Nrth Pint Drive t Schlfield Avenue. Final surface pavement is anticipated t be put dwn this week as weather permits. Stanley Street Imprvements: The City has taken delivery f equipment necessary fr the remvals and painting t cmplete the lane recnfiguratin next spring. TAP Grant SEH is wrking n envirnmental dcumentatin and design elements f the prject. After the envirnmental dcumentatin is cmpleted a secnd public infrmatinal meeting will be held t present the findings t the public. Design elements will als be shared at that time. The meeting is anticipated t take place in the late winter r early spring Recnstructin Prject: Isadre Street (Prtage t Maria) All cnstructin elements are cmplete with the exceptin f final paving and restratin. Paving is schedule t be cmpleted later this week weather depending. Restratin is nging and shuld be cmplete, t a pint f acceptance, ver the next tw weeks. Given the current weather, it is likely that the cntractr will cme back in the spring t tuch up the restratin and perfrm a final seeding. 2

3 East Park Cmmerce Center Rukert Mielke is preparing the final bid package fr the infrastructure imprvement prject fr an early winter bidding. The prject is being planned fr an early spring cnstructin start. Full Depth Jint Repair The cntractr has cmpleted all jint repairs and we are awaiting cncrete test results. Prvided the results are sufficient, traffic cntrl shuld be remved later this week and the radway pened t traffic Radway Imprvements The Engineering Department cntinues t prepare fr 2019 and 2020 recnstructin and resurfacing prjects prjects currently include (pending budget apprval): Fifth Avenue and Pulaski Place (Secnd Avenue t Franklin Street) Due t the amunt f wrk we have in-huse, staff has asked Gremmer & Assciates fr design assistance fr this prject. Staff is wrking t create priritizatin tls fr pavement rehabilitatin activities. The City Surveyr cntinues t wrk n several Certified Survey Maps fr prpsed and ptential develpments. Engineering and Streets staff cntinue t lk fr ther city infrastructure and service imprvements, many t address alder and cnstituent questins and cncerns. Sme f the imprvements staff is lking int include: Pavement repair and installatin f curbs alng the radii f select rural crsssectin radways. Shulder repairs and shaping t preserve pavement and imprve drainage. Evaluate the ptential need fr additinal pavement markings and signage at intersectins t better delineate travel lanes t avid cnfusin and reduce cnflicts fr all travelers. 2. When brken dwn by department there were; Water 3 Engineering 2 Inspectin 0 Plice 15 Parks 31 Fire 4 Streets 87 Signs, psts, barricades, and flags 25 signs were replaced r added, 13 new signs, 5 because f accidents, 2 fr usual maintenance and 7 were mved. 23 ples were replaced r added, 4 Because f accidents, 3 were replaced, 9 fr usual maintenance and 7 were mved. Trimmed branches that were blcking a sign. Painted three N Parking signs n blacktp at Heffrn and Dan s Drive. Re-installed five parking kisks n Isadre Street. Garbage/recycling/yard waste/drp-ff Garbage and recycling carts repaired/replaced/distributed as needed. Regular slid waste cllectin cmpleted. Regular recycling cllectin cmpleted. City drp-ff peratins were cmpleted. Leave 15 days.25 hurs sick and 59 days 4 hurs f vacatin were utilized. 4

Remval fr Driveways. The directr f public wrks is authrized t issue a permit fr the purpse f cnstructing a driveway having a width in accrdance with Sectin 23.01(14)(i)(3)(b). The pening at the curb line shall allw fr driveway flares as specified n the permit.
