Standings: Winners of 10 of their last 11 games, the G-Braves are alone in second place in the IL South for the first time this year (lead Charlotte by winning percentage). GWN trails Norfolk (64-45) by 6.0 games for the South lead and Columbus (61-49) by 2.5 games for the IL Wild Card. Winning Through 109: At (.532) through 109 games in 2015, the G-Braves have a winning record at the 109-game mark for the first time since the 2011 campaign (61-48,.560). Vs. Rochester: With a win tonight, the G-Braves would ensure a season series victory over Rochester for the fourth time in seven seasons (5-3 in 2009, 5-3 in 2010, 5-3 in 2012). G-Braves Win Fifth Straight on Hunter s Blast: A three-run home run by Cedric Hunter snapped a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning and led the G-Braves to a 5-2 win over the Rochester Red Wings last night at Coolray Current Homestand (2-0) Field. Hunter (2-for-4, HR, R, 3 RBI) homered off RHP Michael Tonkin with two outs in the seventh, scoring both Mallex Smith (2-for-4, 2B, 2 R, SB) and Christian Bethancourt (1-for-4, R). Gwinnett also scored twice against RHP 8/8 vs. BUF Michael Bowden, the starter for Rochester, taking a 1-0 lead on 8/9 vs. BUF an RBI double by Sean Kazmar (1-for-4, 2B, RBI) in the second and a 2-0 lead on an RBI groundout by Eric Young, Jr. (1-for-4, RBI) in the third.
