2 General Principles Chregraphy f a frmatin team includes bth chregraphy f a Rck n Rll r Bgie Wgie rutines f an individual cuple/dancer and the verall pattern f mvements f the cuples/dancers n the flr. All cuples/dancers are expected t fllw the beat f the music and mvements shuld be executed simultaneusly r with visible lgic f asynchrny. Teams are marked n their synchrnicity. Main Class Rck n Rll, Ladies frmatins and Bgie Wgie frmatins perfrm a dance with acrbatics. Scring f acrbatics is different in each mentined categry. Main fcus is n the dance part. Rck n Rll frmatins shuld use RR music, Bgie frmatin shuld use BW music, which is rich in variety and they shuld dance chregraphies with diversified lines and patterns. These patterns culd be nn-mving r mving. It is imprtant that these lines and patterns shall be easy recgnizable. Frmatins will be judged as a whle and nt as individuals. 3 Scring the Dance fr the Frmatins - Maximum 65 pints Final mark fr the frmatin is calculated by adding pints fr fllwing criteria: BASIC STEP (MAX 10 POINTS) Technical pints: starting frm maximum. Frmatin team is evaluated with ne verall mark. A penalty is given by the wrst dancer, ne r tw times, frm the verall mark. All the requirements fr the basic step are written in Scring the dance dcument. DANCE FIGURES (MAX. 20 POINTS) It includes the accuracy and aesthetics f perfrming the dance figures f dancer/cuple. CHOREOGRAPHY (MAX. 15 POINTS) Artistic pints BUT it is vital that the technical expectatins / regulatins f cmpiling the chregraphy be taken int cnsideratin as well. 4 Dance Figures Maximum 20 pints A dance figure is a self-cntained, planned mvement while dancing. Fr a high rating, the figures must include the fllwing pints: difficulty, accuracy, variety, synchrnicity and aesthetics f perfrming the dance figures. DIFFICULTY Changes r mving with basic step elements (fr example with kicks and nt with knee lifts in RnR) Changes f patterns in cuple frmatins with Dance grup 1 elements Different rtatins with multiple simultaneus exchange f the dance pse Usage f s called blind figure - where cuples/dancers dn t see each ther Turns and ther dance figure Mvements demanding high level f crdinatin, islatin and flexibility (cntractin, release, rnds-de-jambes, etc.) Speed and number f change f mvements during the chain mvements (chain mvement is when multiple dancers/cuples perfrm ne dance figure r mve ne after the ther).... ACCURACY Synchrnicity during a figure between the cuple/dancer and the mvement. Chregraphy Maximum 15 pints All presentatins shall be based n a cncept, stry, theme r idea. The cncept, stry, theme r idea must be fully understandable and will be expressed by means f dance mvements that adhere t the piece being presented, alng with being creative, imaginative and riginal. It is very imprtant t present harmny f idea, music, dance, chregraphy and cstumes. It is needed t have a link between idea, music, chregraphy, mvements, patterns, cstumes Using the cstume t shw extra pictures (e.g. different kind f dresses) t raise up the level f the chregraphy. Meaningless utilizatin f the cstumes can decrease the pints. What makes a chregraphy really exciting is that the mst imprtant parts can get their certain stresses thus the climax can be built up. Presentatin and the entire image will be evaluated. Typical RR variatins (kicks, kick-ball-change, kneelifts perfrmed in all different directins, etc.) with cntact 2-4 bars min. 2 x recmmended All 3. Cntact elements withut RR basic steps (dance figures perfrmed exclusively and slely in pair) 2 bars min. 2x recmmended Cuple frmatins 4. Others (turns, figures frm ther dances, linedances, synchrnised mves, etc.) - - All Cnsequently, when elements frm all figure grups are used, the chregraphy pints f the frmatin will start frm a higher value. This will make it pssible t reward the frmatins wh perfrm their dance at a higher level using elements frm all grups ver t thse wh perfrm a changeable and multi-clur chregraphy but at a lwer level. GROUP 1: DANCE ELEMENTS PERFORMED WITH FULL RR BASIC STEPS Basic Steps, Changes f Places Basic step is Kbc+kick+kick (nly in this rder) Dance grup 1A: Cmpulsry amunt - minimum 10 full RR basic steps with fllwing requirements: The cuples frmatins must present the dance Grup 1A, therwise they will receive a yellw r red card. 6 If the kick hinders the change f directin seriusly, it can be replaced by lifting the knee r the heel BUT IN THIS CASE IT ISN T COUNTED AS A dance Grup 1A (BASIC STEP)! Dance Grup 1A (basic step in cuple) must be perfrmed with cntact f dance partners fr at least 1 bar (2 kicks). Maximum 2 ut f 10 basic steps can be dne in place withut change directin. Dance grup 1B: Cmpulsry amunt: minimum 6/10 (shrt/lng) full RR basic steps with fllwing requirements: Girls and ladies frmatins must present Grup 1B, therwise they will receive a yellw r red card. All members f frmatin must present dance Grup 1B in same time. Open Rck n Rll variatins. Recmmended quantity: 2-4 bars 2 times Typical Rck n Rll figures are synchrnic kicks with hlding each ther s shulders, hands r any kind f bdy cntact. They can be perfrmed next t each ther and in frnt f each ther. All dancers have t perfrm this variatin at the same time, and needs a cntact (in principe) with minimum ne ther dancer. Pssible mvements: Kick-ball-change kicks kicks perfrmed diagnally and sideways snipping up (lifting) knees and heels jumps GROUP 3 : CONTACT DANCE ELEMENTS Cntact dance figures perfrmed withut a Rck n Rll basic step, changes f places Recmmended quantity: 2 bars 2 times ONLY FOR COUPLE FORMATIONS. Dance figures f the cuples that are perfrmed in cntact with the partner and requires the assistance f the partner. Dne individually the mvement becmes meaningless, the cntact remains until the end f the dance figure r changes int anther frm f cntact. GROUP 4: OTHER Other dance figures All dance mvements that d nt belng t any f the previus 3 grups. 7 Frmatin mark Maximum 20 pints The rutine is judged by the distributin f cmpetitrs acrss the flr, hw visible the patterns are and the transitins between these patterns. It is imprtant hw the team uses the flr available keeping the frmatin in gd rder with sharp lines and a clear and even distance between the team members. Difficulty Diagnal lines are mre difficult than vertical/hrizntal r crss rws. Turns f patterns/lines are mre difficult instead f mvements in a straight line. Mvements f patterns with changes in the directin f rtatin are mre difficult than thse with cnstant directins f rtatin. Nn-gemetrical patterns with meaning are mre difficult than the gemetrical patterns. (heart, star ) Mving patterns are mre difficult than nn mving patterns. Executin Precisin f lines in patterns and their develpment: Lines and rws shall be straight. Circles shall be circular. Symmetric patterns shall be recgnizably cnstructed symmetrically. Asymmetric patterns shuld clearly be recgnized as nn symmetric. Cnfrmity f bdy lines and their prjectin directin between cuples/dancers. Equality r clean lgic f distances between cuples/dancers. The divisin f space respectively best pssible utilizatin f space. Psitin f the pattern n the stage. Variety, riginality Variety f patterns such as lines, circle, square, arrw Variety f transitins such as different arm-mvements, different dance elements. Different use f the stage. Mving with cuple dance elements - withut basic step with basic step Mistakes Each mistake must be cunt. 1 dancer makes small mistake = small mistake (-2 pints) 2 dancers make small mistake in the same time = 2 small mistakes (-4 pints) 3 r mre dancers make small mistake in the same time = big mistake (-10 pints) Timing errr Small mistake is -2 pints. Big mistake is -10 pints. Interruptin f dancing up t 1 bar is a small mistake (-2 pints). Interruptin f dancing mre than 1 bar is a big mistake (-10 pints). 9 Scring acrbatic elements in Main class frmatin All the acrbatic elements frm the Main Class and B-Class catalgue can be perfrmed. Initial values f acrbatic elements and Classificatin fr technical and aesthetic errrs are based n Scring the Main class and Scring the B-Class dcuments. See appendix 1: Catalg f frmatin acrbatics Types f frmatin acrbatic elements: Cuple acrbatics: Acrbatic elements perfrmed in cuple. Tri acrbatics: 2B1G Tw bys lift/thrw ne girl. (All girls have t perfrm it. The transitin element cannt be lnger than 2 bars.) maximum 2 times allwed in a prgram. Frmatin acrbatics: 1Ba1G1Bb One by lift/thrw ne girl, and anther by catch this girl. (All girls must perfrm it. The transitin element cannt be lnger than 2 bars.) maximum 2 times allwed in a prgram. Chain acrbatics: when the acrbatic is perfrmed ne after anther with mre than tw starts. All types f acrbatics can be perfrmed in chain nly ne chain acrbatic is allwed in a prgram. If a frmatin team presents frmatin acrbatic elements mre times than it is allwed, than the bserver will give zer pint and red card fr this acrbatics. Value f the specific types: Cuple acrbatics Main class acrbatic elements have the same value like in Acr calculatr fr Main Class. B-Class acrbatic elements have 50% f initial value frm the Acr calculatr fr B-Class except the acrbatic elements frm grup 4, which keep initial value. Entrance in B-Class acrbatic elements desn t give extra value (staff, bettarini r standing n the arms). Elements lwer than B-class receives 2 pints if presented as a single element. As a part f a cmbinatin these elements have n value. Tri acrbatics have tw pints less than the initial value in the respective Acr calculatr (value frm Acr calculatr 2 pints). Frmatin acrbatics have ne pint mre than the initial value in the respective Acr calculatr (value frm Acr calculatr + 1 pints). Chain acrbatics desn t change the initial value. All acrbatic elements must be annunced thrugh the WRRC Registratin sftware in advance, in the rder in which they will be perfrmed. If the acrbatic elements will be perfrmed in a different rder, the technical bserver will reduce thse elements t 0 (zer) pints. ATTENTION: Frmatin acrbatics are valid nly if they are perfrmed by all wmen f the frmatin. Otherwise the bserver will reduce the value t 0 (zer) pints. Number r acrbatic elements Each Main Class Frmatin can perfrm minimum 6, maximum 8 acrbatic elements. The maximum annunced scre fr all the acrbatics is 65 pints.
