6 Charitable Causes Kayla Charity Girl Stitcher First off, a huge Thank You to everybody this season who contributed to the Charity cause this Season for Krewe de Camp!!! Whether it was the raffle, team donations, buying a shirt and/or koozie, or donating or purchasing an auction item, pat yourself on the back and walk away this from this awesome Season feeling really good about yourself. While we didn t reach our goal of $6000 this Season our Final Total was $4065!!! Speaking of Koozies and T-shirts, we still have some, so if you didn t get one for yourself or you want more, it s not too late! All you have to do is Dave (nolamite@msn.com) and we can set up a time and place to make the exchange happen. Last week I mentioned that we re going to do the Big Check presentation to the Miracle League, but due to Wednesday and Thursday Playoofs the next two weekends, we will be putting it off until prob. The 25 th of September. We will post details on the facebook and WAKA pages so stay tuned if you want to participate and help the League as a volunteer for the day. They are also are in need of about 15 Volunteers THIS Wednesday the 8 th from 5-7 for their Meet&Greet night so if you re interested in either please me (pangorkl1@yahoo.com) or Jersey (jpyle0071@gmail.com). 7 Don t Ump My Game, Ump Yours! Head Ump (a.k.a. The Bad Guy): Andrew "do you know what T H R E E P E A T means" Crosby I want to thank everyone who umped during the playoffs. Every year I dread walking around the field and asking/begging people to ump a game. But this season was different. Not only were the umps fantastic, but most of you volunteered during the playoffs without me even asking. That's awesome, and why this league is better than every other. I am a triple dipper and I can honestly say that Monday is my favorite! Thanks to everyone who did anything (big or small) to help this season be as great as it was. Thanks Again, Andrew

8 Notes from the GMOT Editor Dave Pimp is spelled P-I-M-P NOLAmite Wow, time flies when your kicking balls, flipping cups and nursing Tuesday hangovers. I m very proud and humbled by the amazing writing and contribution of all of our team and board writers out there. This Newsletter wouldn t exist without you!!! Also I d like to give a Big Shout to the Board and Team Captains. Over the past 4 seasons or so we ve turned Monday Night from the red headed step child of NOLA Kickball into the Flagship of them all. It s because of all of your hard work that made this happen. And after playing on other night s I realized ya ll make it look easy, even though I know it s not... I m sure that you ll all enjoy the hiatus from writing for a few months, I know I will. But, we ll all be at it again come March of So Until then, keep your balls inflated, your cleats sharpened, your flipcups full, and your Tuesdays less hungover!!! 10 - Da Ballaholics - Big ups to Da Ballahollics for our 2nd straight Flipcup Championship. We did what we do best and thats get sh tty and flip cups. Now that we got yall all lubed up lets give a BIG SHOUTOUT to the person who is always "Ready To F CK". Thats right. Thanks Jerz for all that you do for us and the league. You da best and your team loves ya and is always ready to f ck!!! Alright Bitches Were Outta Here Till Next Season. We're goin to SHABOOM's!!! PEACE!!!!

12 - Kick In the Grass - Well, we didn t get as far in the playoffs as we would have liked but it was fun. Hats off to Wasted Talent who fucking played with people who weren't on your roster so you didn't have to forfeit and didn't tell us gave us a great game. It was nice to finally be the team who WON by one run in the bottom of the last inning. Congrats to KITB (I think) for being the first team to beat us in regulation AND by more than one run. Congratulations goes out Jersey for attempting to call Paul out all season (thus inspiring his QOTH qualifying what week did you win Jersey?). Oh, and congrats on finally getting Pete to f ck your sh t. Unfortunately this rendered him unconscious for several hours after. I wish I didn t forget my camera at home today. This season marks a paradigm shift in the Swift Kick in the Grass franchise. We are still a kickball powerhouse, but in case you missed it we ended the season on a 5 game flip cup win streak and Paul stayed at the bar after 8:20pm like two or three times. The times, they are a changing. xoxoxoxo, Paul, Russell, Zack, Lauren, Jared, Chalon, Christina, Monnette, Stephanie, Dave, Evan, Dan, Andy, Kelly, That Guy, Brandon, Brett and Lesley Speaking of x s and o s It s just meant to be.

13 - Kick Start my Heart - And so another year comes to an end. For some, the thought of 6 months without kickball is as unpleasant as Rosey s dog taking a shit on the 3 rd base line just before the playoffs start. For others, it s a welcome chance for our livers to heal up, to be productive on Tuesdays, and to nurse injuries from being old, fat, out of shape, and yet still desperately trying to hang on to the glory days of our more athletic youth. At least we have another season of Who Dat football to look forward to in the meantime. As for playoffs, well, you were all there. It was wet. It actually got a little cold. And for the most part, it was miserable. Congrats to Balls on Top on your 3 rd straight championship. We hope you have a great time in Vegas and can t wait to see your newest little star on your shirts next season. Kick Start started the day with a fun game against Living the Dream. We took a big lead. They made a comeback. We took a big lead again. They didn t make a comeback. We won. We hadn t played them before, but really enjoyed the game and hope the scheduling gods will set up an encore next season. For our next game, we were actually short one guy as Darryl had to leave for school or work or a fantasy football draft (still not sure). We ended up with 6 guys and 8 girls, which isn t exactly what you would call a Balls on Top male/female ratio. We played Swampstains, who we beat earlier in the season, but our defense just didn t work as well in the mud bowl that was Field #1. We lost, and the season came to an end. So we have 6 months to contemplate life and get ready for next season. The new girls are going to work on being less sketchy. Mike is going to spend time with his hetero lifemate, Jason Feder. Trey will head back to da parish to recharge his accent. Steve and Garett will hit the studio to record the follow up to their platinum debut album, It s Rap, Son. Laetitia will help them record the track Suce Ma Bite. Dean will love the ladies because the ladies love Dean. And Prick is doing a lecture series at universities across the country. As usual, we d like to thank the board for all their hard work, especially Kayla and Stitch for making us feel good about ourselves. Ya ll are awesome. See you next year. ONE NEEDLE! ONE TEAM!

14 - Living the Dream - Like everyone else we had an awesome time at the playoffs, thanks to everyone who made it happen in spite of the rain! We played a great a game against a good team that was a lot of fun. Even though we went out early, we made the most of the situation, enjoying several beers and Murph Burgers. When you see your team cooking brownies on the grill and spraying random people with condiments, you know you re doing something right in Monday Kickball. I m very proud of our team flip cup performance this season. Although our record might not reflect it, we have a lot of great talent on this team and now that we have a season under our belt, I think we can upset some people next season. This has been the best kickball season in The Dream s history, thanks to a great group of kids we had on the team. With only five returning players from the previous season, we really didn t know what to expect, but I don t think I could have hand picked a better group of people to kick balls, flip cups, and occasionally have a dance party with. When we come back next season, you can count on LTD to be a fun competitor in the league. Thanks to Jersey, Sean, Sam, Andrew, Josh, Kayla and Dave and all the other great people that make it possible for my Tuesday mornings to hurt so good!

15 - Memphis Mafia - We'll have a Blue Offseason without you We'll be so blue thinking about you Driving by the Kickball Fields, plus Upside down Solo cups, it s not the same without you with us We'll have a Blue Offseason that's certain And when that blue heartache starts hurtin' We'll all be doin' all right, with our Season of Black n Gold, But we ll have a blue, blue, Kickball Offseason The Mafia have left the Building Takin Care of Business, So you don t have to Fried Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich Ingredients 4 ounces Skippy peanut butter 2 slices 1/2 inch thick bread, made with Pappy O Daniel Flour, soaked in love. 1 whole ripe banana, shaped like a Bass Clef 4 ounces whole butter from a fat, fat cow Directions Spread the Skippy side to side, evenly on 1 side of each piece of bread. Slice banana in 3/4 inch slices and place on 1 piece of bread with peanut butter. Remove one banana slice, place in mouth and chew. If tasty good, then replace chewed portion onto bread. Banana slices/chunks should be close together, and cover 1 side completely (usually 9 slices). Top with the other slice of bread. Heat butter in saute pan on medium heat. Place sandwich in pan and brown for approximately 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. Add 2 ounces of butter to the pan and flip sandwich to other side and continue cooking for 2 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and peanut butter is melting. Cut into quarters and add more butter and serve very hot. RECOMMENDED OPTION: Tray of meat gravy makes meal into Tupelo Fronchy Dip. Enjoy and TCB!!!

16 - Swampstains - And so another kickball journey draws to a close. The Stains gave epic thrashings to 99 Problems in the 1st round and Kick Start in the quarters. All Stains contributed. In the semis, we met Balls on Top. We needed to play our best game to beat them and sadly, we did not. We played them much better in the regular season than we did in the playoffs swamp. Congrats, BOT, y all are 3 time defending champs for a reason. Kudos to the girl who pitched 4 innings for 99 Problems, the Stains appreciate a gamer. Kudos to Rory, normally a bunting specialist, who came up with a big 2 RBI single with the bases loaded against Kick Start. And it was great to see Hump playing again, getting on base and making ridiculously accurate throws from ridiculously long distances. Kudos to Sean for winning King of the Hill, the 1st Stain to ever do so. Kudos to Ginger and Sloane for showing up and playing in the all star game even though they were still sore from the 3 games on Saturday (Hump and Fritz both opted out of the male all star game to nurse injuries). Kudos to Liz for wrestling everyone in sight after we were eliminated Saturday. All in all, it was a fun playoffs. We enjoyed all 3 games we played in. And I gotta say, if I m going to play 3 games in a day, I d rather the rain than the 95 degree heat. My one regret was not having the time to go on the Donkey Ballers space walk before it was taken down (kudos to Donkey for bringing it, might be the most imaginative thing I ve seen at a kickball playoffs). Anyway, it s been a pleasure. CYA next season.

17 - WAKAffs - The Wakaffs ended the season with two great days of playoffs. Kickball playoffs brought with it rain, rain, and more rain but it definitely made for an extremely fun day. We had tons of food, beer, and slip n sliding. Wakaffs made it to the 2 nd game when Red Blue Blur had to forfeit but that s where it ended. We lost, of course, to Balls on Top (or as we like to call them B$tches that Bunt) which came as no surprise, but at least it left the rest of the day for having fun! Monday night was so much fun as we flipped our way to the championship. Unfortunately we suffered a heartbreaking 3 0 loss to Da Ballaholics but let s face it, who would have thought in the beginning of the season that we would make it to the championship of anything?!? Congrats to Pat for making it to 3 rd place in King of the Hill I know no one saw that coming! Hell of a season for the Wakaffs!! The team could not have been more fun to play with, and 6 months seems painfully long to be reunited for more kickball.
