2 Caching Objectives Emphasize the imprtance f hard wrk and team play while having fun, by creating a family atmsphere with pen dialgue ffering cnstant feedback and nging evaluatin. Caches Philsphy We favur players with a desire t cmpete - this Trait is a pre requisite fr all practices and games and is what is expected at all times. A wrk ethic with insatiable desire t cmpete. The Ancaster Avalanche Midget AA team will play a Fast, High Temp game. An ffensive team w/clear decisin making /systems, high pressure frecheck, team speed & puck cntrl (pssessin) We build frm the D ut with a heavy nus n puck pssessin, balance decisins and puck patience. Hard wrk beats talent when talent desn't wrk hard. The selected players will be given a playbk t review ver the summer. Every game will be recrded and available n Caches Eye fr the players/parents t view. Caches Eye will als be used as a teaching tl where applicable. Playing Time (Ideal is equal playing time based n 85% t 100% best effrt level) : 1. Nn-eliminatin games: players cntrl 85% f the game, the caches cntrl 15%; 2. Eliminatin games (turnament games & playffs): players cntrl 80%, the caches 20%; 3. Galies: (40%)(40%) split n the seasn, caches decisin fr 20% f games (galies may be pulled and returned t actin t maximize caching pprtunities). 4. Players wh are nt playing at their best effrt level r refuse t execute caching instructins will have their ice time reduced beynd the criteria listed abve.

3 Team Plan and the Rep Cmmitment: Selected players will make a strng cmmitment t this team (plan is fr 17 players, but variance frm this number can be made). This year starting in September players will need t cmmit t the fllwing: 1. At hme dryland training*, at least nce per week (May thrugh August); 2. Prfessinal dryland training; nce per week (June- August) 3. Weekly Summer ice sessins 4. Pre-Seasn Camp- August 21 st - 23 rd, 2018, Overnight fr team 5. In seasn dryland training, prir t r after practices when scheduled; 6. Team building events- Pssible University Tur etc. 7. Tw regular practices per week (3 hurs ttal) 8. Player develpment sessins, and galie develpment sessins (galies see their wn galie instructr) games fr regular seasn and multiple exhibitin games in late August and September. 10. Planned Turnaments - August pre-seasn turnament - Stney Creek Midget Shwcase - Tw Natins- Detrit (Team Bus) - Waterl Turnament - February Turnament (Team Bus) t 10 playff games - Bth Lwer Lakes and Prvincial playdwns may extend int the March Break; 12. OWHA Prvincial Champinships, usually secnd r third weekend f April; Dryland Training, Fitness Testing: May thrugh August: bjective is t build energy systems in preparatin fr Girls Hckey Training. Minimum tw sessins per week: One with team plus at least ne individually (summer sprts cunt). Objective is t build strength and cnditining fr regular seasn. Players are still expected t supplement training n their wn. Nte: additinal practice times r exhibitin games may be bked thrughut year. Team players will need t be available fr a team wear and hckey jersey fitting May 5 th at Mrgan Firestne. Time TBD Any additinal activities utside f thse listed will be negtiated as a team. 5 Payments: Online registratin is t be made between May 1 st and May 15 th. The registratin fee fr the seasn will be apprximately $525. Please visit between May 1st and May 15th t register. Late registratin fees apply after May 15th. In rder t have sufficient team funds in accrdance with required team fees and ther bills we will require 6 pst dated cheques f $600 each fr May 1st, June 1st, July 1st, August 1st, September 1st and Octber 1st. Cheques will be cllected at the team meeting after tryuts. Please make them payable t AAGHA Midget AA All team expenses and revenue will be accurately accunted. Year end statements will be made available fr team members. All surplus mnies at the cnclusin f the hckey seasn will be divided accrdingly between player s families leaving an accunt balance f $0.00. The budget is a guide fr the team s expenses. The caching staff and management will make every effrt t fllw the budget. If there is any discrepancy with verpayment r underpayment the families will be ntified within 30 days f the end f the seasn. Team Fundraising: 1. Team Banner, 2. MacGregrs Meats fundraiser 4. Barrel f Bze Raffle Team Rules: In rder fr the team t perate smthly, t realize success, and t maximize player perfrmance it is essential fr rules t be fllwed and respected. 1. Ntificatin f Absence r Lateness: This is rep hckey and we are lking fr players t be cmmitted t this team; Please remember ther players were released frm this team. This des nt mean team functins cannt be missed. Parent s discretin will be respected. a. Please ntify caching staff f absences r if yu ll be late in advance. This als allws the caches t be prperly prepared. Please be respectful t thers n the team and keep the line f cmmunicatin with caches pen. b. Repetitive absences and lates will be clsely mnitred and scrutinized. 2. Arrival Time fr Games & Practices: Be diligent in yur preparatin t cmpete, bth mentally and physically. a. Fr games, players are t arrive at least 60 minutes prir t game time. Arrival times fr turnament games may need t be adjusted as per mst turnament rules (games may be played 30 minutes earlier than scheduled). b. Fr practices, players are t be ready 10 minutes prir t practice time. 3. Players are als nt permitted t start undressing until male caches leave the dressing rm as per the dressing rm plicy. Helmets, neck guards and glves are the nly exceptin. 4. Caching staff are t have the players' full attentin s they may cmplete their caching tasks prir t, during, and after practices and games. Please als respect the need fr the caching staff t have private cnversatins befre and after practices and games. 5. During all team functins a parent, guardian r designate must be present at all times.

6 6. A respectful envirnment will be maintained fr teammates, caching staff, ppsing players & caches, game fficials (referees & timekeepers), the arena staff, and the arena itself. 7. N phtgraphing devices are t be used in the dressing rm at any time. Electrnic devices will be cllected in a cmmn valuables bag during games. 8. Further clarificatin f rules will appear in the players playbk and a reminder will be sent prir t the seasn beginning in September. Player Cnduct and Expectatins: During all Team functins players are expected t cnduct themselves apprpriately at all times. The Ontari Wmen s Hckey Assciatin (OWHA) and the A.A.G.H.A. cnstitutin and bylaws, rules and cdes f cnduct will be upheld. Players will fllw: The Dressing Rm Plicy, The Scial Netwrking Plicy, IMPACT Cncussin Management Plicy, The Zer Tlerance Plicy fr Vilence...City f Hamiltn; mrever, Players will als be expected t shake hands and thank game fficials at end f each cntest. Parent Cnduct and Expectatins: During all Team functins a parent, guardian r designate must be present at all times. Parents, guardians r designates are expected t fllw Hckey Canada s Fair Play Cde. Please be a psitive mtivatr fr all players. Parents are asked t bserve the 24 hur rule when wanting t address the caches r parent liaisn ver any type f dispute. The 24 hur rule allws time fr better thught prcess, which can help reslve issues. Player Supprt Plicy: If players r parents cnduct warrant, the fllwing steps will be utilized in rder t take crrective actin t crrect prblems. This is at the Cach s discretin. If an incident f a serius nature ccurs, we as a team reserve the right t deviate frm the Player Supprt Plicy if it is in the best interest f the team, player r Assciatin. 1.
