Our caches and administrative staff strive t prvide a safe, psitive, encuraging and rewarding envirnment while maintaining an emphasis in areas f hard wrk, mental and physical strength, cmmitment, sprtsmanship, teamwrk and character develpment. 360 Vlleyball Club Leadership The 360 Vlleyball Club fllws the NTR VOLLEYBALL PARTICIPANT Cde f Cnduct fr ALL participants. Caching Staff One f ur gals at 360 Vlleyball Club is t prvide experienced, quality caches fr ur prgrams. We will strive t match caches with teams based n experience, knwledge, abilities, and persnality. All caches will be IMPACT certified, registered with the NTR as a cach and will have a cmplete backgrund check. Registratin and Eligibility Players and Parents must cmplete the fllwing befre being allwed t participate in any 360 Vlleyball Club event(s) (excluding tryuts): Signed Vlleyball Club Cntract NTR Membership 360 Athlete and Parent Cde f Cnduct (signed) USA Vlleyball Medical Histry and Release Frm The NTR defines age grups fr training and cmpetitin. The age divisin breakdwns are as Fllws per the USAV guidelines: Financial Cmmitment Depending n yur team level fees g twards paying gym and facility rental, caching stipends, speed and agility training, unifrm and equipment csts, turnament registratin fees and cach s turnament travel csts. 1

3 In rder fr 360 Vlleyball Club t execute its annual plan, we must adhere t ur budget. If a family decides t vluntarily withdrawal frm the club fr persnal reasns r is remved fr vilatin f NTR and/r 360 Vlleyball Club rules n r after September 23, 2017 they will be respnsible fr the balance f their dues. Once yu sign yur player cntract and pay yur dwn payment, yu are cmmitted t the seasn with 360 Vlleyball Club. Shuld yu withdraw befre the seasn is ver; yu will nt be entitled t any refunds f mney already paid. Failure t cmplete the payment schedule as agreed upn by the player cntract can render the athlete ineligible t cmpete with 360 Vlleyball Club until the balance is paid in full. It shuld als be nted that it is 360 Vlleyball Club plicies that players that are nt in gd standing with their previus clubs will nt be allwed t participate in subsequent seasns fr any club until they are in gd standing. Under n circumstances shuld caches cllect mney fr payment f dues and/r fees. 360 Vlleyball Club requires payments t be made nline r t the club Directr/Business Manager. Circumstances that prevent a player frm participating (injury, schedule, cnflict, suspensin, etc.) d nt dismiss the financial bligatin t the club. In the case f an 18-year-ld signing their cntracts with 360 Vlleyball Club, we will require them parents t act as a c-signer n all registratin paperwrk requiring a financial cmmitment. Team Dues and Mnthly Payment Schedule (please reference team payment agreement) Members have the ptin f paying fr the entire seasn up frnt and will receive a 5% discunt fr ding s. Mnthly payments are due by the 1st f each mnth. Any payment received after the 5th f the mnth will be cnsidered late and a late fee f $15.00 will be applied t the balance. An additinal daily fee f $5.00 will be applied t the accunt after the 6 th day (including the $15.00 late fee). Any checks returned due t insufficient funds will be charged a $35.00 fee plus late fees. All fees and late charges must be paid prir t the player participating in any additinal practices r turnaments 360 Vlleyball Club will accept cash, check (made payable t 360 Vlleyball Club) r Credit Cards. A depsit is required n signing day. All Mnthly payments are due n the 1 st. 1. Nvember payment due n the 1 st 2. December payment due n the 1 st 3. January payment due n the 1 st 4. February payment due n the 1 st 5. March payment due n the 1 st If a need arises, and special payment arrangements becme necessary, 360 Vlleyball Club will d everything pssible t assist in such arrangements. If a special payment arrangement is needed, please send a request, in writing, t the Club Directr/Business Manager explaining the specific installment amunts and dates f payment. The Club Directr will send a written respnse with an addendum cntract t be signed by the applicant if such payment structure request is apprved. Families with mre than ne child playing fr 360 Vlleyball Club will receive a $200 discunt fr the secnd child s dues fr the year. 2

4 Unifrm and Balls/Equipment Unifrms are prvided by 360 Vlleyball Club. Prper care f the unifrms is each player s respnsibility. Parents are asked t review and fllwthe care instructins n labels t ensure that all the gear is in the best cnditin pssible fr the seasn. If a cach assigns a player a vlleyball, that player is respnsible fr that ball/equipment. Lss r damage f a vlleyball will result in $45 replacement fee. Time Cmmitment The seasn runs frm Nvember 2017 t April r May 2018 depending n yur team level. Practices will begin in late Nvember and ur first turnament will be held in December. Players are expected t be cmmitted t attending practices and turnaments scheduled by 360 Vlleyball Club. Schedules will be handed ut t each participant and als available nline at Please ntes schedules are subject t change. Practices Yu are required t be n time t practices. 360 Vlleyball Club requires yu t call yur cach if yu will be late t r will miss practice 24hrs in advance if pssible. If yu d nt call r yur cach t explain the reasn yu are late r absent prir t the incident, yu will be cnsidered unexcused. A player s absence has a negative effect nt just n the athlete individually, but n the entire team. Unexcused absences may result in lss f playing time in an upcming turnament. Please arrive at practice 15 minutes early t ensure that yu have adequate time t prepare and be ready t step n t the curt at the scheduled practice time. The cach has the right, at any time, t discuss with the player/parent/directr any prblems that cntinually ccur with attendance times and missed practices. Caches may enfrce ther team rules fr practice and turnaments that players are expected t fllw. Lack f practice attendance may affect playing time at turnaments and missed training time may affect the well-being f the team and the individual s wn skills advancement. In the case f inclement weather, 360 vlleyball administratin and/r caches will parents and/r players t ntify them f practice changes and/r cancellatins. Turnaments Time played at turnaments is earned and nt always given ut equally. Practice is where the athletes learn and grw in skill develpment. Participatin at practice helps determine turnament play time. Turnaments are n Saturdays and/r Sundays but culd fall n a Friday and/r Mnday and last the entire day. All players are expected t be in the gym, ready t warm up, at the arrival time determined by the cach. 360 Vlleyball Club standard is ne hur prir t the first game regardless f if yu play r referee. Please plan travel time accrdingly. Specific infrmatin n each turnament is nt typically available until the week f the turnament. Fr liability and insurance reasns, 360 Vlleyball Club caches, directrs and administratrs cannt be respnsible fr any transprtatin t r frm any turnaments r practices. 3

5 Officiating and screkeeping are integral parts f participating in vlleyball turnaments. All players and caches must attend ne fficiating clinic per seasn. Parents are encuraged t attend als. Officiating at turnaments is a shared respnsibility fr the entire team. If yur team is fficiating, ther players may nt leave the turnament site unless excused by the cach. Scial Media and Electrnic Cmmunicatins Cmmunicatins invlving minr participants shuld be apprpriate, prductive and transparent, as part f USA Vlleyball s emphasis n participant safety. Cmmunicatins cncerning travel, practice r cmpetitin schedules and administrative issues amng caches, administratrs and players and their families is critical. Hwever, the use f mbile devices, web-based applicatins, scial media and ther frms f electrnic cmmunicatins increases the pssibility fr imprprieties and misunderstandings, and als prvides ptential ffenders with unsupervised and ptentially inapprpriate access t participants. The imprper use f mbile devices and electrnic cmmunicatins can result in miscnduct. Belw are USA Vlleyball Scial Media and Electrnic Cmmunicatins Plicy requirements. USA Vlleyball junir clubs are required t implement a Scial Media and Electrnic Cmmunicatins Plicy. 360 Vlleyball Club plicy is included in the Appendix t this handbk. All electrnic cmmunicatin between adult and player must be fr the purpse f cmmunicating infrmatin abut team activities. Adults, players and all team persnnel must fllw apprpriate guidelines regarding the vlume and time f day f any allwed electrnic cmmunicatin. All cntent between adult and player shuld be readily available t share with the public r families f the adult r player. If the player is under the age f 18, any , text, scial media r similar cmmunicatin must als cpy r include the player s parents. Request t Discntinue All Electrnic Cmmunicatins withut repercussin must be granted fllwing receipt f a written request by the player s parents that their child nt be cntacted by any frm f electrnic cmmunicatin by caches r ther adults, their club, team, caches and administratrs. Travel Travel expenses are the respnsibility f each family. If travelling ut f area, all team members will be required t stay in the designated team htel. A blck f htel rms will be reserved by 360 Vlleyball Club in rder t secure a grup rate. It is the respnsibility f each family t call and bk ne f the rms reserved in 360 Vlleyball Club s name. Please d nt bk htel r airfare until instructed t d s by the club travel crdinatr, administratin r cach. Upn arrival at the htel, caches will establish a curfew time fr players. It is the respnsibility f parents and chapernes t assist in enfrcing these curfews. Players will nt leave the htel withut a chaperne and must adhere t the cach s set curfew time. Any player fund in pssessin f r t have used alchl, tbacc r ther cntrlled substances while representing 360 Vlleyball Club will be sent hme immediately at the expense f the parent r guardian-n exceptins. Vilatin f any f these travel plicies may result in expulsin frm the club. Club Directrs may, at their discretin, send a player hme at the expense f the parent r guardian fr vilatin f any club plicy r rule. 4

6 Player Expectatins Players are expected t adhere t all City, Cunty, State and Federal Laws as well as all 360 Vlleyball and NTR rules and regulatins. Vilatins f these laws r rules/regulatins may result in expulsin frm the club. Additinally, players are expected t: Be a team player; the team cmes first, always and n matter what. Have a psitive attitude at all times; encurage and supprt yur teammates t the best f yur ability whether yu are n the curt r n the sidelines. Demnstrate strng club/team spirit and pride. Be a leader n and ff the curt. Stay fcused, mindful, and display a strng wrk ethic at every practice and turnament. Always shw respect t all teammates, parents, caches and fficials. D nt prvide, use, r cndne the use f tbacc prducts, alchlic beverages, r recreatinal drugs. D nt remain in a lcatin where this kind f activity is taking place. The use f any illegal substance will nt be tlerated. Clean up after yurself (gyms, cars, htels, restaurants, schls, etc.). Be the kind f teammate yu wuld like t have beside yu. Find ways t make yur teammates better at every pprtunity and celebrate team successes. 360 Vlleyball Club Directrs reserve the right t place a player n prbatin r suspensin fr vilatin f any rules r regulatins. Prbatin results in the ability f the player t practice with the team, but nt participate in turnaments. A suspensin may result in the player nt participating in practice r turnaments fr an agreed upn amunt f time. Multiple Sprt Athletes 360 Vlleyball Club expects ur players t make a cmmitment t their team fr the seasn. We are aware that ur athletes may als play ther cmpetitive sprts during the club vlleyball seasn. We believe that being a well-runded athlete is vital t yur develpment. Hwever, any athlete that chses t play in a schl r ther club sprt during ur club seasn must sit dwn with their parents and caches t determine the fllwing factrs: Identify which sprt has pririty when there is a cnflict. Cnsider the time cmmitment required t be successful in each activity. Cmpare schedules and determine the number f practices and turnaments they will miss, need t leave early fr, r be late t. Cnsider the physical and mental strain they might endure. Assess hw their ther extracurricular activities will affect their cntributin t the team as a whle and hw it may affect their playing time. All athletes must disclse intended extracurricular activities t the caches during the selectin prcess and prve that their club vlleyball team will be a high pririty. The cach will then have discretin as t whether r nt t accept a multi-sprt athlete nt their rster. Parent Cde f Cnduct fr Turnaments and Practices Parent participatin is essential fr the success f the teams and individual athletes. Active and respnsible parents als cntribute t the psitive image f 360 Vlleyball Club within the cmmunity. 5

7 360 Vlleyball Club is respnsible fr the actins f their players, caches, parents, and spectatrs. Please adhere t the fllwing guidelines fr turnament etiquette: Respect: Please be respectful t all players, caches, fficials, linesman, screkeepers, ther teams, parents, etc. In the case f repeated negative behavir, 360 Vlleyball Club reserves the right t restrict the attendance f spectatrs at turnaments. If parents d nt cperate, the club may have n ther chice but t dismiss the player frm the team. Cheer: Cheer fr yur team and its players! D nt be negative abut the players, the cach, r the ther team at any time. Dn t Cach frm the sidelines: There is a big difference between cheering fr the team and attempting t cach frm the bleachers. Leave the caching t the cach. Dn t apprach the fficials: Please d nt ever apprach, r yell at any f the fficials, lines persns, r screkeepers at a turnament. If a discrepancy ccurs, let the cach deal with the prblem. Cmmunicate with the cach at apprpriate times: Yu shuld always feel free t talk t the cach. But, please remember that there is an apprpriate time and place t discuss an issue with the cach. Turnaments are nt the time t d this. We require a 24/hur cling ff perid befre parents/players are allwed t speak with the cach regarding their cncerns. Team Parents 360 Vlleyball Club wuld like t have 1-2 parents per team t handle team cmmunicatins and snack arrangements fr turnaments. Team parents will be required t attend each turnament. Grievance Prcedures Cmpetitive team athletics, by its very nature, creates an envirnment where athletes, parents and/r caches may nt be in agreement with all decisins made. Knwing when and hw t cmmunicate with the cach r Club Directr is a cncern fr almst every parent at sme time during the seasn. Mst ften the cncern is hw t inquire abut issues surrunding playing time. Athletes are encuraged t cmmunicate with their caches. Athletes are expected t discuss any issues cncerning playing time r any ther vlleyball related subject with their caches first befre escalatin is needed. Parents are encuraged t cmmunicate with the Club Directr nly after exhausting all the resurces t reslve the prblem. Caches are nt required t defend his/her thught prcess r cnclusins at any time during the seasn. Caches are instructed nt t engage in cntrversial discussins during turnaments. If a cach is apprached during a turnament, he/she has been instructed t: plitely decline t discuss any cntrversial matters r t refer the parent t a Club Directr. Parents and athletes are t adhere t the fllwing grievance prcess: 1. The athlete meets with the cach t discuss the matter. If the matter is nt reslved r the athlete has a reasnable cncern abut speaking t the cach, please prceed t step tw. 2. The parent meets with the cach t discuss the matter. If the matter is nt reslved r the parent has reasnable cncern abut speaking t the cach, please prceed t step three. 3. The parent meets with the Club Directr. In certain situatins, the Club Directr may ask either the cach r athlete (r bth) t attend the meeting. 6

8 4. All decisins and recmmendatins by 360 Vlleyball Club and the Club Directr are final and nt subject t appeal. The recmmended time fr a parent and/r athlete t meet with a cach is immediately after a scheduled practice r by appintment. It is inapprpriate fr an athlete r a parent t apprach ther 360 Vlleyball Club members abut a prblem the athlete r a parent is having with a cach, abut bjectins t caching, r administrative decisins. Fr the sake f the teams and the Club as a whle, grievances must be handled via the grievance prcess utline abve. 360 Vlleyball Club strngly prmtes fairness and believes in pen cmmunicatin. All issues and cncerns are immediately addressed with the athlete's well-being in mind. 360 Vlleyball Club is dedicated t keeping an pen line f cmmunicatin between all invlved. We want the players/parents t feel cmfrtable with ur staff. We are here t make this seasn enjyable as well as a great learning and grwing experience fr yur athlete. Insurance Cverage It is the respnsibility f parents t ensure that their athlete is cvered by medical insurance. Vlleyball is like any ther sprt - the risk f accidental injuries is inherent in the nature f these activities. These risks include, but are nt limited t, the ptential fr injury, accidents r illness while traveling t and frm cmpetitin sites, while participating in the varius prgram activities, and while playing vlleyball. We attempt t minimize the existing risks thrugh use f prper sprts equipment, prper facilities, and sund safety practices. APPENDIX A: Scial Media and Electrnic Cmmunicatins Sample Plicy fr 360 Vlleyball Club NTR/USA Registered Junir Club Vlleyball prgrams are nw required t implement an electrnic cmmunicatin plicy. The plicy must be reviewed with and agreed t by all athletes, parents, caches and ther adults affiliated with the club. Electrnic Cmmunicatin Plicy f 360 Vlleyball Club PURPOSE: 360 Vlleyball Club (the Club ) recgnizes the prevalence f electrnic cmmunicatin and scial media in tday s wrld. Many f ur student-athletes use these means as their primary methd f cmmunicatin. While the Club acknwledges the value f these methds f cmmunicatin, the Club als realizes that there are assciated risks that must be cnsidered when adults use these methds t cmmunicate with minrs. GENERAL CONTENT: All cmmunicatins between a cach r ther adult and an athlete must be prfessinal in nature and fr the purpse f cmmunicating infrmatin abut team activities. The cntent and intent f all electrnic cmmunicatins must adhere t the USA Vlleyball Cde f Cnduct regarding Athlete Prtectin. Fr example, as with any cmmunicatin with an athlete, electrnic cmmunicatin shuld nt cntain r relate t any f the fllwing: Drugs r alchl use Sexually-riented cnversatin; sexually explicit language, sexual activity 7

9 The adult s persnal life, scial activities, relatinship r family issues, r persnal prblems; Inapprpriate r sexually explicit pictures. Nte: Any cmmunicatin cncerning an athlete s persnal life, scial activities, relatinship r family issues r persnal prblems must be transparent, accessible and prfessinal. Whether ne is an athlete, cach, bard member r parent, the guiding principle t always use in cmmunicatin is t ask: Is this cmmunicatin smething that smene else wuld find apprpriate r acceptable in a face-t-face meeting? r Is this smething yu wuld be cmfrtable saying ut lud t the intended recipient f yur cmmunicatin in frnt f the intended recipient s parents, the caching staff, the bard r ther athletes? With respect t electrnic cmmunicatins, a simple test that can be used in mst cases is whether the electrnic cmmunicatin with athletes is Transparent, Accessible and Prfessinal. Transparent: All electrnic cmmunicatin between caches and athletes shuld be transparent. Yur cmmunicatin shuld nt nly be clear and direct, but als free f hidden meanings, innuend and expectatins. Accessible: All electrnic cmmunicatin between caches and athletes shuld be cnsidered a matter f recrd and part f the Club s recrds. Whenever pssible, include anther cach r parent in the cmmunicatin s there is n questin regarding accessibility. Prfessinal: All electrnic cmmunicatin between a cach and an athlete shuld be cnducted prfessinally as a representative f the Club. This includes wrd chice, tne, grammar and subject matter that mdel the standards and integrity f a staff member. If yur cmmunicatin meets all three f the T.A.P. criteria, then it is likely yur methd and manner f cmmunicatin with athletes will be apprpriate. FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, BLOGS AND SIMILAR SITES: Caches and athletes are nt permitted t private message each ther thrugh Facebk. Caches and athletes are nt permitted t instant message each ther thrugh Facebk chat r ther IM methds. Players and caches shuld nt friend each ther n Facebk. The club has an fficial Facebk page that athletes and their parents can like the page fr mre infrmatin and updates n team-related matters. TWITTER Best Practice: The club has an fficial Twitter page that caches, athletes and parents can fllw fr infrmatin and updates n team-related matters. Caches and athletes are nt permitted t direct message each ther thrugh Twitter. Instagram: Players shuld nt fllw caches n Instagram TEXTING: Subject t the general guidelines mentined abve, texting is allwed between caches and athletes during the hurs frm 7am until 10pm. Texting nly shall be used fr the purpse f cmmunicating infrmatin directly related t team activities. Athletes and caches may use t cmmunicate. When cmmunicating with an athlete thrugh , a parent, anther cach r a bard member must als be cpied. REQUEST TO DISCONTINUE ALL ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS: The parents r guardians f an athlete may request in writing that their child nt be cntacted by caches thrugh any frm f electrnic cmmunicatins. Immediate cmpliance withut repercussin must be granted. 8

10 MISCONDUCT: Scial media and electrnic cmmunicatins cannt be used t cmmit miscnduct (e.g. emtinal, sexual, bullying, harassment and hazing). Such cmmunicatins by caches, staff, vlunteers, administratrs, fficials, parents r athletes will nt be tlerated and are cnsidered vilatins f ur SafeSprt Handbk. This culd lead t immediate club expulsin r terminatin. VIOLATIONS: Vilatin f the Club s Scial Media and Electrnic Cmmunicatins Plicy shuld be reprted t yur Cach and/r Club Directr r the Reginal SafeSprt Cntact fr evaluatin. Cmplaints and allegatins will be addressed fllwing the apprpriate prcedure. A USA Vlleyball participant r parent f a participant wh vilates this plicy is subject t apprpriate disciplinary actin, including but nt limited t: suspensin, permanent suspensin and/r referral t law enfrcement authrities. APPENDIX B: Travel Plicy fr 360 Vlleyball Sme travel invlves nly lcal travel t and frm lcal practices and events while ther travel invlves vernight stays. Different plicies shuld apply t these tw types f travel. The frm f plicy belw is a sample nly but may be 360 Vlleyball Club ( Club ) has sme teams that travel regularly t play in turnaments, has sme teams where travel is limited t a few events per seasn, and sme teams where there is n travel ther than lcal travel t and frm ur wn area. The ( Club ) prhibits all types f physical abuse, sexual abuse, emtinal abuse, bullying, threats, harassment and hazing, all as described in the USA Vlleyball SafeSprt Handbk. The ( Club ) has established plicies t guide ur travel, minimize ne-nne interactins and reduce the risk f abuse r miscnduct. Adherence t these travel guidelines will increase player safety and imprve the player s experience while keeping travel a fun and enjyable experience. We distinguish between travel t training, practice and lcal turnaments ( lcal travel ) and team travel invlving an vernight stay ( team travel ). Lcal travel ccurs when the ( Club ) des nt spnsr, crdinate r arrange fr travel. Players and/r their parents/guardian are respnsible fr making all arrangements fr lcal travel. The team and its caches, managers r administratrs shuld avid respnsibility fr arranging r crdinating lcal travel. It is the respnsibility f the parents/guardians t ensure the persn transprting the minr player maintains the prper safety and legal requirements, including but nt limited t: a valid driver s license, autmbile liability insurance, a vehicle in safe wrking rder, and cmpliance with applicable state laws. The emplyees, caches and/r vlunteers f ( Club ) r ne f its teams, wh are nt als acting as a parent, shuld nt drive alne with an unrelated minr player. Team travel is vernight travel that ccurs when ( Club ) r ne f its teams r designee s spnsrs, crdinates r arranges fr travel s that ur team can cmpete lcally, reginally r natinally. Because f the greater distances, caches, staff, vlunteers and chapernes will ften travel with the players. When pssible, ( Club ) will prvide reasnable advance ntice befre team travel. Travel ntice will als include designated team htels fr vernight stays as well as a cntact persn within ( Club ) r the team. This individual will be the pint f cntact t cnfirm yur intentin t travel and t help with travel details. Regardless f gender, a cach shall nt share a htel rm r ther sleeping arrangements with a minr player (unless the cach is the parent, guardian r sibling f the player). The cach r his/her designee will establish a curfew by when all players must be in their htel rms r in a supervised lcatin. Regular mnitring and curfew checks will be made f each rm by at least tw prperly backgrund screened adults. At n time shuld nly ne adult be present in a rm with minr players, regardless f gender. Team persnnel shall ask htels t blck adult pay per view channels. 9

11 Individual meetings between a cach and a player may nt ccur in htel sleeping rms and must be held in public settings r with additinal adults present, with at least ne f thse adults being the same gender as the player. Family members wh wish t stay in the team htel are permitted and encuraged t d s. The team will make every effrt t accmmdate reasnable parental requests when a child is away frm hme withut a parent. If any special arrangements are necessary fr yur child, please cntact the team persnnel wh can either make r assist with making thse arrangements. N cach r chaperne shall at any time be under the influence f drugs r alchl while perfrming their caching and/r chaperning duties. In all cases invlving travel, parents have the right t transprt their minr player. Prir t any travel, caches will endeavr t make players and parents aware f all expectatins and rules. Caches will als supprt chapernes and/r participate in the mnitring f the players fr adherence t curfew restrictins and ther travel rules. When visiting public places such as shpping malls, mvie theatres, etc., players will stay in grups f n less than three persns. Athletes 12 and under will be accmpanied by a chaperne. Failure t cmply with the Hnr Cde as set frth in this dcument may result in disciplinary actin. Such discipline may include, but may nt be limited t: i. Dismissal frm the trip and immediate return hme at the athlete s expense; ii. Disqualificatin frm future turnaments, either lcal r traveling; iii. Financial penalties; iv. Dismissal frm team; and/r v. Penalties set frth in the USA Vlleyball Participant Cde f Cnduct, which may include a lifetime ban. 10
