2 CARAVAN XPRESS: VOLUME VI frm the Editr Since 1997, we have watched Caravan grw frm a tiny ffice space in Mississauga t a large-scale, reginal peratin, with terminals acrss Canada, hundreds f trucks and trailers, staff and drivers mving the wheels n this transprt cmpany. With grwth, there will always be pain. But withut grwth, there is n mving frward, there is n evlutin. Years ag, we annunced the additin f the new terminal in Vaudreuil-Drin, Quebec. In past driver surveys, the mst prevalent request was t imprve the cnditin f the yard in Quebec. Earlier this spring, after years f filing permits and red tape, Caravan was given the kay t repave the yard in Vaudreuil, and cnstructin n the prperty began by June. If yu have passed thrugh the Quebec terminal yu wuld have witnessed the recent changes in the yard. Cme winter 2016, the yard will be paved ver and expanded as planned. Please bear with us as these grwing pains will allw us t expand and better serve yu, ur drivers. The unpaved areas f the lt prved difficult fr drivers t maneuver in the snw, and als during the rainy seasn when the grunds became muddy. Drive Safe and Keep On Trucking! The $50 fee per persn includes the bus transprt t and frm the terminal, the buffet lunchen at the Backlt Cafe lcated in the Actin Zne, Wnderland at 3:30pm, and pass t gain entry t any f the rides r waterparks facilities at Canada s Wnderland The cach bus will be picking up attendees frm ur 2284 Wyecrft Rad, Oakville lcatin at 9am, and departing frm Wnderland at 10pm. Drivers and staff are welcme t inf@ caravangrup.cm t reserve their place n the cach bus and secure passes fr family members wh are interested. Drivers frm all terminals are eligible t participate! Any drivers wh are passing thrugh the Oakville terminal and wh have an appetite are welcme t jin between 11:30am and 2:30pm n Wednesday August 31st. In additin t Driver Appreciatin Barbeques being held in Oakville, there will be additinal Driver Appreciatin Barbeques held at ur Vaudreiul terminal in Quebec. We ve held ff annuncing any events in Quebec due t the yard cnstructin limiting access t the area. Wednesday September 28th there will be a Driver Appreciatin Barbeque at the Vaudreiul terminal. Please d nt be shy, and make sure t cme ut t the lunchen events if yu happen t be passing thrugh. We dn t want yu t leave withut at least a snack r beverage. There will be Vegetarian and als Halal ptins available, just let the persn grilling knw which yu wuld prefer in place f the traditinal sausage r beef burger ptins. A seperate grill will be used fr these special items. Caravan extends a warm thank yu t bth Sheehan s Truck Centre Inc., and Metr Freightliner fr taking turns, and dnating their time and their grill-masters fr every barbeque event we ve put n.
