2 OPERATING CHANGES With the many suggestins and ideas we have received, alng with a desire t imprve the verall experiences f ur families, we are intrducing the fllwing changes: Mnthly Bard f Directrs Meetings held at the ice arena. The mnthly agenda will be distributed and published n ur web site. Hliday Extravaganza replaces Fall Festival. The Hliday Extravaganza better aligns with the academic calendar and ther cnflicting events. General Sessins all sessins have been changed t general sessin, replacing medium / high Ice Mnitrs we are ffering 2:1 drp in sessins t thse wh vlunteer fr ice-mnitring. Fr every 2 sessins mnitred, a drp-in sessin will be ffered Cdes f Cnduct: We are asking parents, caches, and the Bard f Directrs t sign the cdes f Cde f Cnducts this year. This effrt is t verall imprve skating experience. The Cdes f Cnducts are standard templates prvided by USFSA with the Club s name inserted. Safe Sprt Training / Awareness: Safe Sprt is a requirement f USFSA t intended t create an envirnment free f abuse and harassment. Calendar Changes Histrically we have ffered ice sessins during the week f Thanksgiving and Birmingham Public Schls Mid-Winter Break. Due t lw ice usage during these times, we will make the fllwing significant adjustments t ur calendar: Week f Thanksgiving: Mnday, Nvember 23 rd per usual schedule Tuesday and Wednesday, Nvember 24 and 25 n ice Week f February 15 th, 2016 ( BPS Mid-Winter Break ) : n ice Check-In Prcedures & Ice Mnitr Ice mnitr: will sit and check-in skaters at the entrance t the ice. Cntracted skaters will be given pririty fr check-in, then fllwed by drp-in skaters. Drp-in skaters (nn-club) will be expected t present USFSA cards upn check-in. Music - will be self - managed by the caches and skaters (similar t ther rinks) n a rtatinal basis. At busy times f the seasn, we will ask fr vlunteers t assist. 7 CLUB MEMBERSHIP All skaters must have a current USFSA Membership t skate t access FSCB ice sessins. All skaters cntracting ice thrugh the seasn, must have a FSCB hme club r secnd club membership. By- Laws and Standing Rules fr the Club are lcated n ur web-site. At this time f the year, many f ur skaters have purchased memberships which are, effective July 1, 2015-June 30 th, The Club ffers a variety f memberships tailred fr a variety f needs. In the event that yu require a Club membership, please cmplete the Membership Frm, lcated n the website, and submit it alng with yur registratin. REGISTRATION Please review the material, and chse the desired ice sessins fr the seasn. Caches and skaters shuld discuss their availability and chse the ice sessins accrdingly. It is ur gal as a club t right-size the purchase f ice sessin. FSCB reserves the right t limit the number f skaters per sessin, and/r cancel sessins based n usage. In the unlikely event this shuld ccur, yu will be cntacted t discuss alternatives. Registratins will be prcessed in the rder in which they are received. An incmplete submissin culd result in a delay, and prcessed nce cmpleted. As it can be difficult t predict yur schedules relative t the ice seasn, the Club s Change Request plicy is as fllws: Additinal sessins: prcessed free f charge. Deleting sessins: skaters are respnsible fr cntracted ice time at the time f registratin. N refunds are prvided. Changing sessins: First change prcessed free f charge. Subsequent changes will be issued a $10 prcessing charge. Change requests are available at ur web-site. 9 ICE PAYMENTS Cntracted Skaters The payment fr cntracting ice, is due upn registratin r may be may be divided in seven payments. These seven payments are due n the first calendar day f the mnths September 1, March 1, Families chsing the mnthly payment ptin, must agree t the Payment Agreement at the time f registratin. It is the respnsibility f the family t pay the amunt, per the Payment Agreement by the required due date. FSCB will nt be issuing a bill r payment reminder prir t the due date. Payment Agreement I am aware that the Figure Skating Club f Birmingham (FSCB) purchases the ice time frm the City f Birmingham and is legally bund by cntract fr the payment f the ice fr the entire year, nt smaller segments. I agree that I will pay the FSCB Seasn Ttal Cntracted Ice ( 1 ) as indicated n the Registratin Sheet fr the ice time I have reserved fr my child, fr the skating seasn. I agree t pay the FSCB in seven mnthly installments due n the first f each mnth, September 2015 March I agree t pay the full amunt even if my child des nt use all r any f the reserved ice time fr any reasn, including illness, schlwrk r invlvement in ther activities. I understand that if I am delinquent (nt paid within 10 days f the due date f my mnthly installment), my child will be denied access t all ice sessins, participatin in test sessins, and participatin in the City f Birmingham Ice Shw, until arrangements have been made with the Treasurer and a late fee f ten percent (10%) f the utstanding indebtedness will be levied. I further understand that if I pay with a check that is returned I will pay a $15 service charge. By signing the registratin frm, I affirm, fr the benefit f the FSCB, that I have read this statement befre signing; I fully understand its meaning; and I fully agree t undertake this payment bligatin. Indebtedness & Late Fee Any member in arrears fr any indebtedness beynd ten (10) days past the due date shall be cnsidered delinquent. Such member shall be ntified that all skating privileges are denied. Fr mre infrmatin regarding indebtedness, please cnsult sectin 8.4 f the By-Laws. Delinquent skaters will be assessed a ten percent (10%) late fee f the utstanding indebtedness. Skater wh have mre than tw late payments during the seasn will be denied the mnthly payment plan fr the fllwing seasn. Payment will be due in full fr the subsequent year. Skaters must be in gd standing t participate in USFSA testing and cmpetitins.

10 Payments Other Membership Fees Club Dues, USFSA Membership Dues (if applicable) and Mnitr Fees are all due in full at registratin alng with September s mnthly payment r the ttal amunt f the seasn s cntracted ice. Drp-In Card / Drp-in Sessin ($75 fr 6 Sessins r $13 / Sessin all sessins except Tuesday) Drp-In Cards are available fr purchase at the time f registratin r thrughut the seasn frm the Ice Mnitr n duty. Cards are kept in the Drp-In bk, under the care f the Ice Mnitr. The cards d nt expire. Only checks are accepted fr the purchase f Drp-In Cards and Sessins. Tuesday Drp-In: Please nte that there are different drp-in rules fr ur 75 minute sessin. One and a half sessins must be used n the drp-in card fr this 75-minute sessins - OR - the skater may chse t pay a $19.50 single drp-in fee. Returned Checks There will be a $15.00 service charge n all returned checks. If a skater has tw checks returned within the same skating seasn, nly cashiers checks r certified checks will be accepted. While in lessn r practice, it is the skater's respnsibility t always be cnscientius and aware f ther skaters arund them. 2. The nly time a skater has the SOLE right f way is when they are skating their prgram t music. When yu hear anther member's music, please extend that persn the curtesy and mve ut f their path mmentarily. This nly takes a mment and yu will enjy the same curtesy while yu are perfrming yur prgram. 4. Advanced skaters are expected t exhibit patience tward beginner members f the club. 19 Ice Mnitr Infrmatin Vlunteer FSCB ice mnitrs are a critical element t ur club s success. They have a vital rle in safety, harmny, and the financials f the club. This year, we will try implementing sme new changes intended t imprve efficiencies. We will disassciate music mnitring as a functin f the ice mnitr. The ice mnitr will sit at the entrance f the rink and check-in skaters as they enter. Music will be played n a rtatinal basis and managed by skaters and caches (similar t ther rinks). Primary Duties: 1. Check in skaters at the beginning f the sessin. Ensure skaters are exiting prmptly at the end f the sessin. 2. Cllect payments (r mark drp-in cards) fr drp-in club skaters. 3.
