GP W L T 3/SW Win Pct. GF GA GP W L T Win Pct. GF GA 1. Denver / St. Cloud State / Minnesota Duluth / Western Michigan / North Dakota / Omaha / Colorado College / Miami / Teams are awarded three points for each conference win in regulation or 5-on-5 overtime, and one point for a 5-on-5 overtime tie. Conference games still tied after a five-minute 5-on-5 overtime advance to a five-minute 3-on-3 overtime (and sudden victory shootout if still tied) with the team that wins the second overtime/shootout receiving an extra point in the standings (3/SW in the standings), making all games worth three points. The 3-on-3 overtime and shootouts only affect conference standings while the game is officially a tie for NCAA purposes. Upcoming Games on NCHC.tv National Collegiate Hockey Conference Friday s Notes/Saturday Set-Up Home teams won all three games Friday night and are now in conference play over the last three weekends (since Jan. 19). On the season, home teams are in conference play so far. No. 4/5 Denver edged No. 9/10 Minnesota Duluth, 1-0, on Friday. Senior goaltender Tanner Jaillet stopped all 24 shots he faced for his fifth shutout of the season, which leads the NCHC and ties for third nationally. It was his ninth career shutout, second-most among current NCHC netminders (UND s Cam Johnson with 10). Denver has now beaten the Bulldogs four straight games, all one-goal contests, including 1-0 for the second time this season (Dec. 1 in Duluth). DU sophomore forward Henrik Borgström scored the only goal in the win over Minnesota Duluth, his 17th of the season, which is second in the NCHC and tied for seventh nationally. His 37 points are third in the NCHC and tie for fifth nationally, while he now has 14 points (4g, 10a) in his last 10 games. Despite a 5-3 loss to No. 6/4 St. Cloud State, Omaha senior forward David Pope recorded his first career hat trick, tallying all three goals for the Mavericks. He is the fifth different NCHC player to record a hat trick this season, including the second Maverick, joining Zach Jordan, who logged his Dec. 8 in a win over Minnesota Duluth. Two of Pope s goals came on the power play, giving him 12 power play goals on the season, which lead the NCAA (four more than any other player). The 12 power play goals also break the NCHC single-season power play goals record, which was held by St. Cloud State s Jonny Brodzinski, who had 11 in Pope s 19 total goals on the season lead the NCHC and tie for second nationally, while his 38 points tie for third nationally, one off the NCHC and national lead. Miami snapped a five-game winless skid (0-4-1) with a 4-2 win over No. 15 Western Michigan. The RedHawks went 2-for-7 on the power play and rank second nationally on the man advantage, converting 27.8 percent of the time (32-of-115). The 32 power play goals tie for third nationally, along with Western Michigan, who had one power play goal in the loss. The Broncos are now 15-for-40 on the power play in their last eight games (37.5 percent). Miami junior defenseman Grant Hutton scored on the power play for his 10th goal of the season, which leads all NCAA blue liners. His eight power play goals are also tops nationally among defensemen. Fellow Miami blue liner, senior Louie Belpedio also scored a goal Friday, giving him nine goals on the year, which is second nationally among defensemen behind only Hutton. With Friday s win over Omaha, SCSU improved to at home this season with the 12 wins tying for the most in the country. The Huskies.833 win percentage at home is tied for second nationally.

2 Friday s Recaps Home Teams Sweep Friday s Games as Denver Remains in First Pioneers blank UMD, 1-0; SCSU stays right behind with win over Omaha; Miami tops WMU After home teams went last weekend in NCHC play, the trend continued Friday with all three home teams picking up victories on their own ice. No. 4/5 Denver kept sole possession of first place in the conference with a 1-0 shutout of No. 9/10 Minnesota Duluth, as senior goaltender Tanner Jaillet logged his fifth whitewash of the season. No. 6/4 St. Cloud State remained right on the Pioneers heels, earning a 5-3 win over No. 13/13 Omaha to stay only three points back, despite a hat trick from Mavericks senior David Pope. Miami started to claw its way out of last place with a 4-2 win over rival No. 15 Western Michigan behind a big second period and two power play goals. In a goaltending duel, No. 4/5 Denver tallied the game s only goal early in the third period for a 1-0 win over No. 9/10 Minnesota Duluth Friday at Magness Arena. Senior goaltender Tanner Jaillet stopped all 24 shots he faced for his fifth shutout of the season, including second against UMD, also a 1-0 win, while it was his ninth career shutout. Sophomore forward Henrik Borgström scored the game s only goal 2:35 into the final frame from a tight angle. The Bulldogs ( , NCHC) tried to rally, outshooting Denver (15-6-6, /0 NCHC), 17-8 over the final 20 minutes, but UMD couldn t find the equalizer. Overall, the Pioneers finished with a slight, 26-24, edge in shots, including 18-7, over the first 40 minutes. Sophomore goalie Hunter Shepard made 25 saves in the loss for the Bulldogs. Denver goes for its fifth straight win over UMD Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. MT. Snapping a five-game winless streak, Miami used a three-goal second period to down rival No. 15 Western Michigan, 4-2, Friday at Steve Cady Arena. After a scoreless first frame, the RedHawks ( , NCHC) struck twice in the first five minutes of the second stanza with goals from freshman forward Ben Lown and sophomore forward Gordie Green, the latter on the power play. Junior defenseman Corey Schueneman put the Broncos ( , NCHC) on the board midway through the middle period with a power play goal, but junior defenseman Grant Hutton answered for Miami with his own power play goal to make it 3-1 after 40 minutes. Senior blue liner Louie Belpedio, who also had an assist in the win, sealed the game with a tight-angle goal late in the third period. Miami outshot WMU, 28-22, in the win. The teams wrap up their series Saturday at 7:05 p.m. ET. Looking to stay right behind Denver in the NCHC standings, No. 6/4 St. Cloud State was able to overcome a hat trick from Omaha senior David Pope to top the No. 13/13 Mavericks, 5-3, Friday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Pope put Omaha ( , NCHC) in front in the first period on the power play, but the Huskies (16-6-3, NCHC) rattled off three goals in the second period to take the lead, including two in the first 4:25 of the middle frame as senior forward Judd Peterson and sophomore forward Nick Poehing combined for both goals with a goal and an assist each. Another Pope power play marker tied the game and also set the NCHC single-season power play goals record with 12, but junior forward Mikey Eyssimont answered a minute later to put SCSU in front for good. Freshman forward Easton Brodzinski made it 4-2 early in the final frame with a power play goal of his own, which held up as the game-winner, despite Pope completing his first career hat trick midway through the third period. Senior defenseman Joel Messner assisted on all three Pope tallies. SCSU outshot Omaha, 42-18, in the victory, including 19-4 over the final 20 minutes. Junior goalie Evan Weninger stopped 37 shots for UNO in the loss. The teams complete their series Saturday at 7:07 p.m. CT.
