1 The American Legin 700 N Pennsylvania St Indianaplis, Indiana Permanent American Legin Baseball Wrld Series Bid Infrmatin Since 1925, The American Legin has spnsred a yuth baseball prgram (ages 15 t 19). Fr the past 83 years, The American Legin has hsted an annual Wrld Series. Fiftyeight cities have hsted this event. It is the desire f The American Legin t seek a permanent hst city beginning in American Legin psts and cmmunities interested in becming the permanent hst city are encuraged t bid. An initial cntract fr 2011 t 2014 will be issued t the successful cmmunity. The hst cmmunity will be evaluated n an annual basis fr three years. If, after three years, the review cmmittee is satisfied with the success f the hst, the cntract may be extended fr additinal years. The minimum annual bid fr hsting The American Legin Wrld Series shall be $100, payable 30 days after the final game. A cmplete financial reprt f incme and expenses must accmpany the payment. The American Legin reserves the right t require an independent audit f the financial reprt at the hst s expense. American Legin psts and cmmunities interested in bidding t becme the hst city must submit a bid package (alng with nine cpies) n later than February 1, Financial bids shall be kept in cnfidence by the natinal ffice until they are reviewed by the Natinal Baseball and Recreatin Subcmmittee. Bid packages must include phts f the ballpark, grandstand, press bx, practice field, duguts, batting cages, htels, and pints f interest within the area. Bid packages must include an endrsing reslutin frm the department executive cmmittee and frm the city cuncil. Timeline: June 2009 t February 1, 2010 Wrld Series permanent site bids sught.
