1 Pennsylvania State 4-H Clver Award Prgram Purpse: T encurage 4-H members t engage in a variety f prjects and activities, in additin t enabling members t acquire the seven Leadership Life Skills: Cmmunicating; Decisin Making and Prblem Slving; Getting Alng with Others; Learning t Learn; Managing; Understanding Self; and Wrking in Grups. Backgrund: The Pennsylvania State 4-H Clver Award Prgram encmpasses leadership skill develpment in 4-H members as they grw in the 4-H prgram. Levels are based ff f the Achievement Ladder curriculum, Stepping Stnes curriculum, and materials develped by staff in Bucks, Smerset, and Westmreland cunties. Prerequisites fr ALL LEVELS: 1. Member must attend a minimum f 60% f club meetings and cmplete at least ne apprved 4-H prject during the prgram year. 2. Member can nly cmplete ne level per prgram year. ** 1 P age

2 LEVEL 1: Green Clver Member must cmplete TWO f the fllwing tasks: 1. Give a visual presentatin related t their prject at a club meeting. (Cmmunicating) 2. Help with a 4-H club activity r event. (Wrking in Grups) 3. Attend at least ne cunty 4-H activity r event. (Wrking in Grups) 4. Hst a meeting, prvide refreshments, lead a game, r prvide a reprt at a club meeting. (Wrking in Grups) Once the required number f tasks are cmpleted, the member must submit Green Clver Reprting Frm by September 1 f the year cmpleted t their Extensin Office. 2 P age
