WELCOME TO THE LATEST EDITION OF THE NEWSLETTER. If you have anything to contribute, please do get in You can keep up to date with all the news from around the League by following us on OLD BOYS NETWORK Fourth in an occasional series with Mike Robins #4 POOLE TOWN WHERE ARE THEY NOW? The Dolphins have a long and interesting history, before and after their stay in our League. Recent history saw them join the Wessex League in the newly formed Division 2 after many seasons in the Hampshire League. 2004/05 saw them collect promotion as Runners Up to Division 1, which became the Premier Division in 2006/07. The success story continued with three successive Premier Division titles, in 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11. Just eleven league defeats in those three Championship winning seasons is still some achievement. The Dolphins netted 144 goals in 08/09, 128 in 09/10 and 132 in 10/11. However, due primarily to issues over the ground promotion to the Southern League wasn t available until 2011/12. Runners up in the first season and falling at the Play-off hurdle (against Gosport Borough) was a temporary setback for the Tatnam Farm side. 2014/15 again saw Play Off disappointment with a defeat against St Neots Town. The Dolphins gained promotion as Champions in 2015/16 and now feature in the National League South. Whilst with us, they enjoyed their best FA Cup season in 2010/11. Wins were secured over Dawlish Town, Bishop Sutton, Bodmin Town, Thame United (after a replay) and Bashley before a home reverse in the 4 th Qualifying Round against Hayes & Yeading United, going down 3-1. In the FA Vase, 2007/08 saw them exit after a 4 th Round replay at Consett after victories over Liskeard Athletic, Hamworthy United and Cowes Sports. 2009/10 saw the same stage reached- with good results over Bishop Sutton, Brislington and Eastbourne United Association before going out to eventual winners Whitely Bay in the North East by three goals to one. 2010/11 was a good season in the Vase as well. Victories over Wellington, Wantage Town, St Ives Town, Spennymoor Town and Torpoint Athletic saw the Dolphins take on Whitley Bay again. This time in a twolegged Semi Final. The trip to Wembley wasn t to be though as a 2-1 home defeat followed by a 3-1 loss on the road meant Whitley Bay were able to defend their Vase title. The Manager Tommy Killick is well known locally, and has been in that role with the club before and after their sojourn in the Wessex League. Their only League Cup final appearance was in 2009/10 where goals from Sanger and Eastham at Christchurch won the Cup for Bemerton Heath Harlequins. Club record victories for Poole Town in the Wessex League home and away came their way in 2009/10 with Horndean on the receiving end of a ten-goal defeat on 21 April following a record 7-0 away win at Hayling United not quite a month beforehand. On the negative side though, just two days after the victory over Horndean they went down 5-1 at Tatnam to Wimborne Town. Sunday, 22 October /18 Edition #19 Page 1 of 19

HAT TRICK COUNT- WEEK 12 5 Alex Baldacchino certainly found his shooting boots in midweek, notching a Double Hat Trick for AFC Portchester in their big League Cup win. Bobby Scott also hit a Hat Trick in the same game. Jamie White hit four past Hedge End Town for Blackfield & Langley in their Southampton Senior Cup tie. Another Hat Trick came at Bemerton Heath Harlequins, where Russell Jones was the man on target. Ringwood striker River Smith again on the list after Saturday s win. LEAGUE GOALS COUNT- WEEK PLAYER MOVES- Amesbury Town have been busy in the week- with striker Sam Matthews returning to the club, plus the addition up front of Sam Walsh from Cirencester Town. Tadley Calleva have also had the Registration Forms out- collecting Jordan Goater on dual registration with Basingstoke Town. Meanwhile, in Portsmouth, Baffins have also been adding to their squad- with Adam Brice whose last club was Havant & Waterlooville and can include stays at Gosport Borough, Woking and Aldershot Town on his CV. Ashton Leigh has returned to the Kendall Stadium. Taylor Leonard has joined Ringwood Town- and netted on his debut at the weekend. The League would like to extend its thanks and appreciation regarding the matches played on the 14th October between Andover Town and Blackfield and Langley and Baffins Milton Rovers and Portland United. In both cases very differing events off the field were dealt with in a sympathetic and compassionate nature in one case and a practical and extremely helpful manner in the other. Two quality examples of Clubs working together for the good of the game and each other. Sadly, on the other side of the coin so to speak mention was made on the same day of a Manager and Club Official berating the referee as he left the field after a game which their side had won comfortably. It would be nice if ALL Clubs considered their manner and attitude at times. Lymington had a good deal of possession early on but didn t create anything against a resolute New Street defence. The home side had the better efforts and should have been ahead at half time. On the quarter hour Zach Hine shot for New Street from outside the box and forced Ross Casey into a diving save. The lively Owen Fee did create one good chance for Lymington when he played a teasing ball across the box, but no one was able to apply a telling touch and it went out for a goal kick. On 16 minutes the ball got played forward to Ollie Yates, who was just onside, and his shot was deflected just past the post by Casey and the resulting corner was scrambled off the line. Callum Sweeney then put a free kick just over the bar and Hine scuffed his shot which Casey pushed round the post. The expectation was that Lymington would come out with guns blazing in the second half like they had done against Amesbury in the previous round, but New Street continued to defend well and didn t let them get a hold on the game. New Street had the first good chance of the half when on 68 minutes a ball was played through but Sweeney s shot, one on one, was just steered for a corner by Casey s feet. Lymington then had a bit of a spell of pressure, Callum Davies swung the ball over from the right and Thompson could only watch it bounce off the top of the bar, Nathan Gray then had a low drive at the near post which Thompson got down well to save, and Jarvis sent a free kick on the edge of the box through the wall which Thompson shovelled away. Having weathered the mini-storm Hine should have done better when ten minutes from time his weak shot was saved by Casey s legs. It looked like it was heading for penalties as the time hit 90 minutes, but Jesse Todd got down the right and pulled the ball back to BEAVIS and he took his time to fire the ball home. In the 4th minute of added time Lymington almost equalised when a long ball into the box came to Stephen Walker in front of goal and his first time shot was saved point blank by Thompson and New Street were able to see out the remaining time to deservedly go through to the fourth round. Hugo Butler writes AFC PORTCHESTER 12-2 COWES SPORTS Alex Baldacchino incredibly scored six goals as his AFC Portchester side ran riot in the Wessex league cup, beating Cowes Sports Both teams flew out the blocks with the visitors taking a very early lead in the 2nd minute when Connor Furmidge headed in well from the first corner of the game However, Cowes lead did not last long, as just one minute later the Royals were rewarded a penalty as Baldacchino was taken out in the opposing area. Top scorer Bobby Scott stepped up and calmly dispatched the penalty into the bottom right corner, sending Ed Hatt the wrong way The game calmed down during the next 15 minutes with either side creating very little of note. The Royals almost took the lead for the first time in the 21st minute. This time Bobby Scott turned provider and played Steve Ramsey through, but the midfielder s effort was cleared dramatically off the line. Sunday, 22 October /18 Edition #19 Page 4 of 19

Although the boys in orange did not have to wait long before they did take the lead. The goal arrived in the 28th minute, when Joe Bye was on hand to head in from a parried shot It was three just two minutes later, Bobby Scott grabbing his twentieth goal of the season in what is proving to be a very impressive campaign for the striker. The number 9 raced through and slotted the ball past the keeper with ease In the 34th minute Ian Saunders side created a considerable cushion between them and their opponents. This time it was a rare goal for fullback Garry Moody, stabbing the ball in from close range At this point AFC Portchester were relentless, and they extended their lead in the 40th minute through Alex Baldacchino. The striker turned in a corner with a sumptuous flick at the near post Halftime: AFC Portchester 5-1 Cowes Sports Much like the first half, the second started at 100 miles an hour. Again, the royals winning a penalty very early on in the half, this time Jimmy Wykes handling in the box and receiving a straight red. Once again Scott was the taker, and once again he buried the penalty into the bottom right corner In the 60th minute Cowes netted a second as John McKie broke through the Portchester defence and slotted past Cameron Scott But in their ruthless form the royals then scored two goals in very quick succession with Baldacchino grabbing both from close range, and in turn completing his hat-trick Baldacchino did not have to wait long for his fourth, as he got the ball on the edge of the box in the 70th minute and fired the ball into the near post It became double figures in the 75th minute and it was that man Baldacchino again, this time finishing well after some great work from Rob Evans In a game that just seemed completely surreal, it became 11 in the 79th minute, and guess who. yes, that man Alex Baldacchino once again; This time bringing the ball down expertly and volleying into the bottom corner The goal scoring was complete in the 85th minute and the royals saved the best until last. Olly Searle pushing forward and delightfully curling the ball into the top corner from all of thirty yards out Fulltime: AFC Portchester 12-2 Cowes Sports Mike Cranidge writes BASHLEY 3-2 HAMWORTHY UNITED Two late goals by substitute Scott Walters sent Bashley into the semi-final of the BDFA Saturday Senior Cup at the expense of Wyvern Premier League side Hamworthy Utd. This was a closely fought game played out in greasy conditions by two well matched teams that exploded into life in the second half with a game changing last ten minutes. The first half was one of skill and endeavour; Bashley attacked through the middle whilst their opponents concentrated on wide play. These contrasting tactics produced end to end football and, surprisingly, a nil score line: the highlights being a number of sharp saves by Joe Coombes, having his first start since his move from Bemerton and a storming frontline display by Lewis Ross. Hamworthy, however, came nearest to scoring and Daniel Cann will rue his open goal miss; they also had the misfortune to lose their captain and centre-back Nathan Walker with a foot injury. Two goals within the first ten minutes of the re-start put the visitors in the driving seat. Cann made up for his earlier mistake by scoring from the spot after being fouled in the area and substitute Maxwell Butler made it two a minute later when heading home from a corner. The tireless Ross was then upended when bearing down on goal but had the satisfaction of scoring from the spot. Both teams rang the changes and with just ten minutes left a Hamworthy win was on the cards. Bashley s final substitution was to bring on Scot Walters whose nose for goal changed the game. With eight minutes remaining a hard drive from Harry McGrath hit the post and the rebound was gobbled up by Walters to level the scores. Sunday, 22 October /18 Edition #19 Page 5 of 19

Three minutes later an angled cross from McGrath caused confusion in the Hammer defence and Walters was on hand to coolly drive home the winning goal. The match ended with Bashley digging in for the final scot-free five minutes. Mike Robins writes NEW MILTON TOWN 0-2 FAREHAM TOWN The Premier Division side started fast in this Russell Cotes Cup tie, with youngster Simm enjoying a lot of action and able to make good headway on the right flank. The opening chance came from one of his deliveries with Chinzhande spurning the chance though. On 12 minutes Simm was upended in the box but Robbins strike was wide of the mark. A missed clearance on the quarter hour resulted in a corner. The ball came to Laycock and flicked it on to ROBBINS who made amends for his earlier miss. The visitors looked to extend their lead- playing some fine one touch football and indeed perhaps should have made such possession tell, Davis, Robbins and Chinzhande all had chances, but the Linnets held firm. A potential equaliser close to the half hour mark hit the foot of a post at the Christchurch Road end of the ground beyond Harding s outstretched hands. HT 0-1. Surprisingly there was only one more goal in the game. Just after the hour mark, DAVIS latched on to a return pass from Holmes and drilled the ball home from 12 yards with Burgess nearly closing down the ball in the process. New Milton s only real chance of getting a goal back came with ten minutes remaining but Falco wasted the opportunity by firing wide when well placed. FT 0-2 Mike Robins writes CHRISTCHURCH 3-2 HAMBLE CLUB A foggy night at Hurn Bridge saw the First Division side progress to the Second Round of the Russell Cotes Cup, although they were made to work hard and had keeper Jason Collins to thank for some fine stops to keep out the visitors. Both sides looked to have players missing- perhaps with Saturday s FA Vase in mind, but nonetheless it was a good game to watch for the neutral. Hamble started the better with Christchurch on the back foot when the first real chance on the quarter hour with Collins doing well to turn the shot away for a corner. Defence splitting passes were exchanged but neither keeper was seriously tested, and the opening goal from SENIOR was down to a miskick that took more than a slight deflection of Hamble keeper Curnow and slid home on the slick surface. HT 1-0 With Christchurch attacking the Club House end, they doubled their advantage just three minutes in, when Cormack got the rub of the green, riding several challenges yet keeping the ball seemingly tied to his foot before cutting it back to allow SATTERLEY to net from close range. Collins was called into action several times with Watts and Magookin both failing to convert decent chances, and just after the hour, following a bit of a scramble the visitors were unlucky not to pull a goal back when the shot bounced to safety off the far upright and the loose ball was blazed high over the bar. Worse was to come for the visitors. Awarded a penalty, Wilson saw his spot kick well claimed by Collins. However, as we went into the final 15 minutes substitute COX chipped home from some 20 yards to make it 2-1. Several chances now came the way of Hamble, with Collins pulling off some good stops to prevent an equaliser. But, on 81 the ball was released up the pitch where SATTERLEY crashed home his second of the night to seemingly ensure a home victory. However, with around two minutes of normal time another substitute, Ricky BULL made the host of defensive indecision to make it 3-2 and made for a very nervy few minutes for the hosts before the final whistle. FT 3-2. Sunday, 22 October /18 Edition #19 Page 6 of 19

A NDOVER NEW STREET 100 AND COUNTING. On August 15th 1998 I made my first ever visit to Foxcotte Park for what may have been the first game of the season. Sadly, all I can recall is that it was a lovely sunny day whilst my records show that Liss Athletic were beaten two one in a Hampshire League Ed- we also hear that there is now a Club Shop at Foxcotte Park- pop in next time you re there Division One fixture. Now nineteen years and a couple of months later the impressive victory over Premier Division Lymington Town in the League Cup, was visit number one hundred. Going back over the years that first season was one of the most successful as regards results for all four matches seen finished with the score in New Street s favour. Following victory over Liss, Fleetlands and Fleet Spurs were beaten 6-3 and 7-3 respectively and Poole Town two one. One suspects it will be some time before Poole are visitors in a League fixture again! The following season saw five visits and one of those may have been the only time the opponents, Mayflower West Wight, visited the ground. Having played as simply Mayflower in Portsmouth and run into ground difficulties, the Club merged with West Wight and played their home matches on the Island and perhaps surprisingly that arrangement, and Club, did not last very long. Having mentioned Poole Town another Club at the same level as New Street around the turn of the century was Winchester and two sightings at Foxcotte in 2002/03 saw a one all draw in the League and a four one defeat at the end of the season in the Final of the Trophyman Cup. A now former Wessex League Club, AFC Aldermaston were beaten 5-1 in 2003 before re-organisation saw the Club join the Wessex League in 2004/05 and the one visit that season saw a two-nil defeat by Lymington Town. For some seasons to follow the well supported Dango Cup was the starting point but it was a bleak campaign for this watcher in 2007/08 with five losses in five visits including 5-4 to Whitchurch and, perhaps not surprisingly, 5-1 to AFC Bournemouth in the Hampshire Senior Cup. Sadly, the next two seasons showed little improvement with only two wins in nine visits in 2008/09 and 7-3 and 9-2 defeats to Hayling United and Hamble ASSC (now Follands) the following year. My records have seemingly failed in 2010/11 as they show a three all draw with Andover in the North Hants Cup - when there must have been a definite result. Also recorded that season is a 7-1 League defeat by Fleet Spurs. Cove from the Combined Counties League were unusual visitors in the Hampshire Senior Cup before another down season in 2012/13 with just one win witnessed in eight visits. Sadly, this was almost repeated two seasons later with three visits that saw heavy defeats at the hands of AFC Stoneham, Andover (in the League Cup) and Amesbury. Strangely the highlight of last season and the last game to warrant mention was the visit of and defeat by high flying Salisbury in the Salisbury Hospitals Cup. The New Street Club acquitted itself well on the field on the night and superbly off it earning graceful and merited praise from their visitors. So, 100 games that included 18 where the Club provided the ground for Cup Finals and Dango matches that did not involve New Street in action. That leaves 81 featuring New Street which have resulted as follows- WINS-28, DRAWS-11, DEFEATS-43. So overall it appears my visits have not helped the Club greatly on the field! But there has always been enjoyment at a Club that has always been well run, always welcoming and over these years run by a succession of the most pleasant and likeable of people and it has been my pleasure to visit. Just one thing I cannot recall. My first visit was soon after I returned to the area after thirty years away - and how on earth did I find the ground! Sunday, 22 October /18 Edition #19 Page 7 of 19

F ORT WILLIAM TO FERRING with John Gorman. Fort William and Ferring are 564 miles apart and probably differ in virtually every respect. Fort William is The Gateway to Ben Nevis and the Highlands in Scotland, with Glen Coe on its doorstep. Ferring is in West Sussex on the edge of Worthing and is, in reality, part of the conurbation of Worthing. Fort William is the largest Town in the Highlands Inverness is a City and 100 miles or more from Glasgow and Edinburgh with a population at the last count of approximately 10,000. Ferring enjoys village status in the serenity of Sussex and is home to around 4500 people. Probably different in virtually every aspect is not quite the case as in the Footballing world there are distinct similarities as both boast Football Clubs who, though playing at very different levels, have struggled to make any impact let alone achieve any success over past seasons. Fort William are members of the Highland League in Scotland which in the pecking order comes behind the Premier Division, the Championship and Divisions One and Two, though it is probably fair to say that it is generally the equal of or better than the bottom Two Divisions. The cost and distance of travel has kept most of the sides in the Highland League though travel still plays its part within the League. Fort William are the most southerly Club in the League and their fixture at Wick, the most northerly Club, involves a three hundred and thirty mike round trip. Ferring joined the Sussex County League in 2013/14 when the League introduced a Third Division at Step Seven level. The Club were one of the inaugural members and have remained in the Division since day one and seen the League change to the Southern Combination League. The writer s knowledge of the geography of the Clubs in the Division is limited, to say the least, but it is likely that their longest journey is the fifty mile round trip to Jarvis Brook, near Crowborough. As this is written Fort William are bottom of the eighteen team Highland League with just one point and ten goals from thirteen matches played and this rather conforms to the pattern of the previous five seasons in which their final League Position was as follows: /13 18th 6 points 2013/14 18th 9 points 2014/15 13th 27 points 2015/16 17th 16 points th 11 points A slight blip in the middle but otherwise consistent. Interestingly, Ferring are currently looking for a new Manager Ferring meanwhile are at present bottom, though only on goal difference, with three points from eight matches but this is already a considerable improvement on last season see following - which was an annus horribilis of the highest order and probably not equalled anywhere in the Country. 2013/14 2nd of points 2014/15 10th of 11 9 points 2015/16 11th of points 2016/17 15th of 15 0 points 14 goals scored 300 conceded Rather downhill after a good start. The purpose of this is NOT to deride the above in any way but to show that football has its ups and downs everywhere and there is generally someone, somewhere, in a worse position than you. Credit to both Clubs for keeping going and hopefully things will improve as the season progresses. Check out our sponsors AUTUMN Bumper Blue Book. The club hopes that this will help them to attract and retain more players in the future. The new system replaces the existing showers, which had become unfit for purpose due to long-term use. The upgrade project will enable the club to continue at the ground well into the future, by providing its members with a more comfortable facility. The club currently play at Step 7 in the Nottinghamshire Senior League. Thanks to the installation of the new shower system, their ground now meets the requirements for Step 6. 11 RESPECT CHARGES The League are continuing to ask that clubs improve their attitude towards the Respect programme. The table below (from the Hampshire FA website) shows just how much dissent or foul and abusive language will cost those who continue to flout the rules. An early goal from after just 7 mins set the pattern with further goals in the 21st and 32nd making it 3-0 at the break. Bovey had clear chances to score themselves and if they had reduced the arrears who knows what may have happened, but a frustrating day in front of goal was punished further by two late goals in the 83rd and 89th minutes. 17 WEEK TWELVE ROUND UP With John Gorman A variety of Cup Competitions on view on Tuesday as the League took a rest and a lot of goals and a lot of mismatches as well. The outstanding result and as the two Clubs are both in the Premier Division it cannot be called a mismatch was AFC Portchester defeating Cowes by twelve goals to two in the second round of the League Cup. The two sides met a week earlier in a League fixture when the Islanders were two up before going down three two. This time they again scored first, were reduced to ten men just after the break and the rest will probably be history. It could well be the highest score in the history of the Competition whilst it is also highly unlikely that Alex Baldacchino s feat of scoring six has ever happened before. Bobby Scott also chipped in with a hat trick. Two Third Round ties saw two home victories. A very late Jazz Beavis goal, the only one of the game, gave Andover New Street a deserved victory on the night over Lymington Town while Newport put their poor League form to one side in defeating Baffins Milton Rivers, last season s beaten finalists, two nil. The Russell Cotes Cup made its first appearance of the season with five ties on the evening. In an all Division One clash AFC Stoneham went through on penalties against Romsey after a one all score line at ninety minutes and Fareham won two nil at New Milton. Follands switched their tie to Sholing only to suffer a seven goal defeat two goals apiece for Byron Mason and Rory Wood while Andover defeated Hampshire Premier League side Fleetlands four nil with central defender Luke Dempsey scoring twice. Success however for another HPFL Club with Liphook United winning two one at Hythe & Dibden. In the Wiltshire Senior Cup Russell Jones scored a hat trick in Bemerton s eight two defeat of former Wessex League Club Warminster Town, Downton went down by the odd goal in three to Highworth and Laverstock and Ford were too strong for Wiltshire League side Wroughton, going through by four goals to three. Former holders Bashley became the first side to reach the semi-finals of the Bournemouth Senior Cup with a three two defeat of Hamworthy United and there were two easy wins for Sydenhams sides in the Southampton Senior Cup. Jamie White scored four in Blackfield s nine goal rout of Hedge End Town and Brockenhurst defeated Bishops Waltham Dynamos six nil. Nothing to do with the Wessex League but on the same night Salisbury faced the quaintly named Bassett Bulldogs, bottom of the Wiltshire League, in the Wiltshire Senior Cup and won thirteen nil. Does such a result coupled with others mentioned do anybody any good. Perhaps the various Competitions should revise the definition of the word Senior. Two more games on Wednesday with Christchurch beating Premier Division Hamble in the Russell Cotes Cup and Alresford knocking Fawley out of the Southampton Senior Cup. Thankfully the weather was not as bad as feared on Saturday with only two postponements thanks to all those who worked to ensure their pitches were playable and a relatively successful day in the Vase with eight teams through to the next round and a ninth to follow from the postponed fixture between Portland and Horndean. Top billing goes to Sholing who travelled to Hellenic League leaders Highworth and returned with a three nil victory, all the goals coming in the second half. The home side have won all thirteen of their League matches to date with ten of those away from home. Two Sam Poole goals helped Blackfield & Langley to a three goal victory at Frimley Green while Brockenhurst were taken to extra time by Crediton United before a Dammy Sunday, 22 October /18 Edition #19 Page 17 of 19

Bada goal gave them the spoils. Entertaining afternoon at Cams Alders where Fareham came from two nil and three two down to beat Ivybridge four three with their goals equally shared between Scott Hamilton and Curt Robbins. Baffins Milton Rovers and Hamble Club, both making their debut in the Competition this season, continue to progress. A Joel Jackson goal gave the former victory over Radstock Town and two goals from Mo Nyang helped Hamble to overcome Romsey at the Bypass ground by the odd goal in five. In the other all Wessex tie Christchurch built on their justified reprieve by scoring three times without reply against US Portsmouth with the final success coming at St Georges Park where Newport, who seem to reserve their best displays for Cup Competitions, defeated Bovey Tracey five nil with Charlie Urry netting twice. Disappointment for AFC Portchester who were three goals down to visitors Cullompton before pulling two back in the last ten minutes and Lymington s bad run of results of late continued with a two goal defeat at Combined Counties side Farnham Town, a game they probably looked upon as eminently winnable. Three sides went out after extra time with Bashley going down three two to Bridgwater, relegated from the Southern League last season in a game which, no doubt like many others on the day, was spoilt by the wind whilst both Alton and Downton acquitted themselves well without any reward. Alton lost 4-2 at Hengrove Athletic after the scores were level at two each after ninety minutes and Downton shared six goals in normal time with Wellington before their hosts claimed the only goal of the extra period. With Bournemouth s fixture with Bemerton falling foul of the weather just three games in the Premier Division, one of which saw Petersfield move off the bottom of the table with only their second victory of the season. The Love Lane side followed up last week s goalless draw with Lymington with a lone goal victory at Cowes Sports, Luke Walker scoring after just five minutes. Hamworthy moved from tenth to fifth in the table with an impressive three one win at Alresford, and Amesbury are now in the bottom two after losing three one at home to Team Solent with Hisham Kasimu adding two more goals to the four he scored a week earlier. Five games in Division One and plaudits to Follands who came from two down to win three two at Verwood for their first win of the season. Sam Hamilton scored a hat trick in Tadley s victory at Laverstock and Ford with recently signed Danny Finnigan claiming two for the home side, but the afternoon was marred by events that bought little credit to those concerned. East Cowes are still struggling for points with five different names on the scoresheet for AFC Stoneham in their five one victory at Beatrice Avenue while Andover New Street followed up their League Cup success in midweek with a two goal defeat of New Milton. Finally, the most prolific scorer in either Division added further to his tally with River Smith scoring three in Ringwood s four two win at Whitchurch.
