2 A note from Lorri To The Amazing Shooting Stars, I m so excited to celebrate Mary Kay s Anniversary month and make this an incredible month! Temperatures are starting to drop, and fall is in the air. We re all ready for something new- so make sure our new products are the thing your customers find! The products are super cute and a great way to kick off this holiday season! Holidays, you ask? Why yes-it s time to start thinking Christmas! Now is the time to close corporate sales, and if you start talking with your customers now about wish lists and holiday ideas, you ll be first on their minds for their holiday gift giving consultant. Plus, now is the time to start booking those holiday look parties. That way your customers can practice and perfect their looks for the season, and you ll have plenty of time to book those follow-up facials and Meet New Faces! We can make this our most successful holiday season yet! The best way to make any season successful is to have a plan. Ask yourself- where do you want to be at the end of 2017? Break that goal down into bite-size pieces for each month, week, and daily activities. Warm chatting two new customers each day seems like a manageable goal, where 250 new customers by the end of the year may seem like a loftier goal. I have complete faith in you that you can achieve anything you set your mind to as long as you map your plan and do the daily activity. This time of year it s more important than ever to focus on those incomeproducing actives. Do you have a teenager that could pitch in to earn some extra holiday cash? That could free you up to focus on working your business too. It s all about focusing on what brings you the most bang for your buck! Speaking of extra holiday cash, now is the time to start talking about starting a new business for the holidays. It s easy to book appointments this fall- new colors, new skin care needs, and we re all looking for something fun to do with our girlfriends. By working your business full circle, you should turn each one of those classes into an interview for the hostess. You ll never know until you offer the opportunity! If she says no, ask her to be a talent scout and be on the lookout for someone who might need more cash this holiday. We have such an incredible opportunity with very little start-up cost and an amazing 60/40 split in profit. You just can t beat it- so don t be afraid to take that extra step and share with your new potential team members. I know we can make this one of our best months yet! Monthly Sharing Contest! Every potential new Team member that listens to the facts will be entered into a drawing for $50.00 in FREE MARY KAY PRODUCTS!! Listening to the facts about Mary Kay can be done; by phone, in person or you can direct them to our Unit s website at where they can complete the survey. Each person must be 18 years or older to participate in the drawing and be willing for me to personally follow up with them. Must send Lorri your potentials name, phone number and interest level. **MUST TURN IN A COMPLETED MARKETING SHEET WITH NAME OF PERSON INTERVIEWED, YOUR NAME AND INTEREST LEVEL. Circle of Excellent Unit - $650,000 4 New Off-Spring Sales Directors 100 New Unit Members Use your Six Most Important Things List! Back around the turn of the century, Ivy Lee, a renowned efficiency expert, promised the president of Bethlehem Steel that he could increase corporate efficiency and sales within ninety days - if he were given a chance to meet with each executive. Lee asked them to list, in order of priority, the six most important things they had to do the next day; any tasks not completed were to be added to the following day's list. Three months later, the company president was so pleased with the results he sent Lee a check for $35,000, a huge sum at the time. Writing a daily list of things to do is one of the smartest things I ever learned to do. The beauty of lists is that they require you to write things down. If you trust everything to memory, you may never get around to doing even a well thought-out task. I value my six-most-important-things-to-do list so much it has been passed on to every Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. It is even implemented in the datebook our Company makes available to Consultants. Once you work it into your routine, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it. Try it for ninety days, and see for yourself. -Mary Kay Ash
