Imprtant Infrmatin regarding Turnament Fees The due date fr Rster and Participatin Agreement is July 20, The Early-Bird Entry Fee fr the PrimeTime Sprts Natinal Basketball Champinship is $400 fr all teams which have submitted a cmplete entry, including all player eligibility dcumentatin and payment n r befre June 9, 2018 (Early Bird Entry Fee is nt available fr Q Pint Spnsred entries). Fr cmpleted entries after June 9, 2018, the Entry Fee is $550. If a team fails t prvide all entry and eligibility infrmatin by 5 PM n July 20, 2018, there will be an additinal $150 Late Dcumentatin Fee. N team will be allwed t cmpete until Team Check-In is cmpleted as detailed belw. Any team nt cmpleting the Check-In prcess during the regularly scheduled times will be assessed a $200 Late Check-In Fee. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS t these fees and they cannt be waived. Turnament Sites. Mre than 800 teams are expected t participate in the 2018 Natinal Basketball Champinship. T accmmdate mre than 2,000 games in 4 days f play, PrimeTime Sprts has secured mre than 50 curts fr the turnament. Turnament Rules The Turnament Rules, unless specifically nted therwise, are the same as the Turnament Rules fr all PrimeTime Sprts turnaments in Eligibility fr players participating the Natinal Basketball Champinship is based upn grade eligibility, with age exceptins, as detailed in the Eligibility Rules. Yu can find the cmplete Turnament Rules n the web site at PrimeTime Sprts will prvide all screkeepers and timekeepers fr the Natinal Basketball Champinship. Three persn fficiating crews will be prvided fr all quarter-final, semi-final and champinship games in all 7 th grade and lder divisins fr Bys and Girls teams. Three persn fficiating crews may be used fr ther games at the discretin f the Turnament Directr. Cmpliance with all PrimeTime Sprts player eligibility requirements and turnament rules is expected f all teams, as it is simply the right and hnrable thing t d. The Turnament Directr shall apply the Player Eligibility Rules in such manner as the Turnament Directr deems apprpriate t uphld nt nly the letter, but the spirit f such rules and all teams shall be bund by any such applicatin. This includes the Turnament Directr s reservatin f the pwer t direct that a team frfeit any game in which an ineligible player participates. Any decisin by the Turnament Directr t exercise r nt exercise such pwer is final and binding n all participants in the event. Game time is frfeit time, subject t the discretin f the Site Directr. The Site Directr will exercise such discretin rarely and nly when there is early cmmunicatin f the prblem and when the circumstances are beynd the cntrl f the team. Failure t knw the rute t the site, delay in traffic, and getting lst will nt generally be adequate reasns t delay the scheduled start f a game. Any decisin by a Site Directr t delay r nt delay the start f a game is final and binding n all participants in the event. Turnament/Event Schedule Wednesday, July 25: Team Check-In. Imprtant infrmatin regarding Check-In is detailed belw. Wednesday, July 25: BigStar Yuth Sprts & Wellness Exp, 10 AM t 6 PM. Thursday, July 26 and Friday, July 27: Pl play fr all divisins will be held n Thursday and Friday. All teams will play n Thursday and Friday. A limited number f divisins will begin bracket play n Friday. Saturday, July 28: Bracket play. Sunday, July 29: Bracket play cntinues, with all medal games n Sunday. Husing Plicy. Fr the 2018 Natinal Basketball Champinship, participating teams are required t stay at ne f the Hst Htels. Traveling Teams is the fficial travel partner fr the PrimeTime Sprts 2018 Natinal Basketball Champinship. Traveling Teams has cntracted rms at Hst Htels fr each Pd, s that yu can stay at a lcatin cnveniently lcated t the facilities at which yur team will play. Please understand that any large event lcated in a metrplitan area will require sme travel. 5 PrimeTime Sprts 2018 Natinal Basketball Champinship General Infrmatin Page 5 f 10 Traveling Teams has secured an utstanding chice f Hst Htels, with a wide range f prices and amenities that shuld fit yur needs. Unless yur team is frm Dallas, Cllin, Tarrant, Rckwall r Dentn Cunties, yur team will be REQUIRED t use ne f the Hst Htels. It is nt required that yu limit yur chices t the Hst Htels in yur Pd, nly that yur team stay in a Hst Htel in ne f the Pds. The use f Hst Htels is the best way fr PrimeTime Sprts t assure an adequate number f available rms fr all the teams participating in the Champinship. Withut the pre-blcking f the Hst Htels, rms wuld be mre expensive r nt even available fr participating teams. If nne f the Hst Htels blcked fr the Natinal Basketball Champinship meet yur husing needs, yu can pt ut f ur Hst Htels by paying a $200 Husing Fee. This amunt is due in additin t the Entry Fee and any ther charges due fr the team. The Husing Fee will be required f any team nt staying at a Hst Htel (nt including teams frm Dallas, Cllin, Tarrant, Rckwall r Dentn Cunties). Husing Plicy cmpliance will be cnfirmed at Check-In. Cmpliance will be based upn real time reprting frm Traveling Teams and the Hst Htels as t rm bkings. If a team is nt in cmpliance with the Husing Plicy based upn infrmatin prvided by Traveling Teams and the Hst Htels, payment f the Husing Fee will be required as part f yur Team Check-In. N waiver f the Husing Fee will be granted at Check-In. The Husing Fee, if applicable, will be due at Check-In and payment f the Husing Fee will be a cnditin f cmpleting the Check-In, including the receipt f caches and players credentials. If yu feel the Husing Fee was inapprpriately assessed t yur team under the Husing Plicy, yu are required t pay the Husing Fee, but can submit a Request fr Husing Fee Refund which will be prcessed after the Natinal Basketball Champinship. Additinal husing requirements: Fr yur team t be cnsidered t be cmpliant with the Hst Htel requirements, yur team must bk at least 4 rms with the Hst Htel fr a minimum f 3 nights each. Any team bking less than this minimum will be required t pay the $200 Husing Fee at Check In. In selecting yur Hst Htel, it is imprtant that yu understand any depsit r cancellatin requirements fr the Htel; this will vary by Hst Htel. Yu will find any special depsit r cancellatin requirements in the Hst Htel descriptin n the Traveling Teams bking web page. Traveling Teams will wrk with yu t answer any questins yu may have as t depsit and cancellatin requirements. PrimeTime Sprts is prud f the value we ffer teams fr a Natinal Basketball Champinship. An imprtant key t ur ability t cntinue t ffer this value is thrugh the supprt f lcal cmmunities and spnsrs, including the Hst Htels. Fr this reasn, we appreciate yur cmpliance with the Husing Plicy. Player Eligibility Dcuments. Player eligibility dcuments will NOT be submitted in advance f the turnament as required in prir Champinships. Dcumentatin requirements fr player eligibility are: Player Eligibility. Upn submissin f the team rster, each Team Representative has affirmed and pledged that each f the players listed is eligible t participate in the selected divisin as prvided in the Player Eligibility Rules fr PrimeTime Sprts. Dcumentatin Required Fr Eligibility. As a cnditin f participatin, each team is required t have grade and age dcumentatin available fr each player fr review at any time during an event. Acceptable prfs f age include print r digital cpies f birth certificate, adptin papers, immigratin papers, schl dcumentatin which reflects DOB, current driver s license and current passprt. Acceptable prfs f grade include a clean cpy f any reprt card f the current r immediately preceding schl year, prgress reprt fr current schl year, r current schl ID. Prtest Prcedure. Paragraph 7 f the PrimeTime Sprts Player Eligibility & Prtests sectin f the PrimeTime Sprts rules will gvern the prtest prcedure and sanctins fr ineligible player r failure t timely prvide dcumentatin. This applies irrespective f any ther language r wrding in the event dcumentatin. Eligibility Affidavit. As a cnditin f participatin in the PrimeTime Sprts Natinal Basketball Champinship, a team representative must execute at Check-In an Affidavit cnfirming: Understanding f PrimeTime Sprts eligibility rules. Understanding that team is required t have cmplete eligibility dcumentatin available at all times during the event dcumenting each and every player s dcumentatin in accrdance with PrimeTime Sprts rules and prcedures. Understanding that a team is NOT allwed t prtest the eligibility f a player frm anther team withut having the eligibility dcumentatin fr its players. Understanding that failure t have such eligibility dcumentatin readily available fr review may result in the ineligibility f player(s) and/r game frfeitures Acceptance f the applicatin f the PrimeTime Sprts eligibility and prtest rules and prcedures. Cmpletin f Entry. Fr a team s entry t be cmplete, the fllwing must be received by PrimeTime Sprts: The 2018 Natinal Basketball Champinship Entry Frm Full payment f the Entry Fee Rster/ Participatin Agreement & Waiver Frm Husing Plicy cmpliance (see Husing Plicy abve) Sign Eligibility Affidavit The deadline fr submitting the Entry Frm, making payment f the Entry Fee, and Rster/Participatin Agreement & Waiver is July 20, Turnament Pl/Bracket Schedules. Due t the number f teams participating, schedule requests cannt be cnsidered. Teams must be available t play n each day f the turnament and games will be scheduled frm 8:00 am t 9:20 pm each f the first 3 days f the turnament. The last games Sunday will be scheduled at apprximately 6:00 pm. The target date fr psting Schedules n the web site is Saturday, July 21. Any change in the expected publicatin date r time will be annunced n the web site. DBA PrimeTime Sprts We encurage all teams t have their entry dcumentatin cmplete and t Check-In as early as pssible t avid delays. Wait times can be extensive in the later afternn/evening hurs. The extended hurs are ffered t make the Check-In prcess efficient and t minimize the time required t cmplete the Check-In prcess. Check-In drs will CLOSE at 7:00 PM. Teams which delay Check-In until late Wednesday afternn will experience lnger lines and a greater time cmmitment. The Head Cach r a representative must check in prir t the team s first game. A team will nt be allwed t play and will risk a frfeit until the Team has cmpleted Check-in and the team s entry has been cnfirmed as cmplete. The Check-In prcess includes: Cnfirmatin that the team s entry is cmplete, including Entry Frm, fully signed Rster/Participatin Agreement & Waiver Frm, Eligibility Dcumentatin Affidavit t be made available at Check In, and receipt f full payment f the Entry Fee, including any additinal fees, t the extent applicable, such as the Late Dcumentatin Fee, Late Registratin Fee, and Husing Fee. If a team s entry is cmplete upn arrival, the Cach will prceed with Express Check-In, which allws the cach t prmptly receive the Cach s Packet, Cach and Player Credentials, and ther turnament materials. When a team has submitted a cmplete entry, the prcess shuld be a matter f a few minutes. If a team s entry is nt cmplete upn arrival, the Cach will be required t cmplete the entry dcumentatin prir t prceeding with Check-In and prir t receiving the Cach s Packet, Cach and Player Credentials, and ther turnament materials. A team will nt be allwed t cmpete until the entry dcumentatin is cmplete. There are NO EXCEPTIONS t this requirement. This infrmatin is required in the event we need t cntact yur team during the turnament. Late Check-In. Any Check-In accepted after 7:00 pm n Wednesday, July 26 will be a Late Check-In and must be cmpleted prir t the team s first scheduled game. Late Check-In will be available n Thursday, July 27: Fr 9 th Grade Bys, 10 th Grade Bys, & 11 th /12 th Grade Bys teams: Late Check in will be available at Duncanville Fieldhuse, 1700 Suth Main St, Duncanville, TX 75137, frm 7:00 AM t 5:00 PM. Each team will receive tw (2) Cach s Credentials. A third Cach s Credential can be issued fr a fee f $38, payable at the time f Check-In. N additinal Cach s Credentials will be available after Check-In is clsed. Additinal credentials will nt be issued. Please d nt ask fr additinal passes, as the event staff has been instructed t nt issue additinal Cach s Credentials. A cach must wear his/her Cach s Credential t each turnament site. If a cach des nt have his/her Cach s Credential, the cach will be required t pay admissin. The gate staff has been instructed that there is n exceptin t this rule and please d nt ask them t admit yu r anther cach withut the Cach s Credential. NCAA rules require that caches fr all NCAA sanctined divisins must be registered with the NCAA prir t the event. Separate credentials will be issued by fr NCAA registered divisins and any cach withut these credentials will nt be allwed n the bench fr NCAA certified divisins. Only three (3) nn-players (cach, screbk persn, etc.) may sit n the bench during games and each nn-player n the bench during games must have Cach s Credentials. The Officials and the Site Directrs have been instructed t remve any nn-player frm the bench if such persn des nt have Cach s Credentials. There will be n exceptins t this rule, including situatins where a cach has frgtten r lst the credentials. Player Credentials. At Team Check-in, the Cach will receive a player credential fr each player fr whm prper age/grade verificatin was submitted. As t any player fr whm age/grade verificatin is nt prvided, the player will nt be allwed t cmpete in the turnament. A player must wear his/her Player Credential t each turnament site. If a player des nt have his/her Player Credential, the player will be required t pay admissin (even if in unifrm). If a Player lses his/her Player Credentials, replacement credentials will be issued fr a fee f $20. If a Cach lses his/her Cach s Credentials, replacement credentials will be issued fr a fee f $38. Misuse f Credentials. Any misuse f cach r player credentials (such as the attempted use by a nncach r nn-player) will result in the lss f the Credentials fr the remainder f the Turnament and the cach r player will then be required t pay admissin fr all subsequent games. Please remind yur caches, players, parents and fans that the cach and player credentials are a privilege and misuse f the credentials is unacceptable. Admissin. Admissin will be charged fr all Natinal Basketball Champinship games. Adults Daily admissin: $15.00 (all games at all gyms fr the day f purchase) Turnament Pass: $38.00 (all games at all gyms fr all days) Yuth/Senir Citizen (ages 6-18 & 65+) Daily admissin: $8.00 (all games at all gyms fr the day f purchase) Turnament Pass: $20.00 (all games at all gyms fr all days) Age 5 & Under: Free admissin Bth daily admissins and Turnament Passes will require the attendee t wear a wristband. The wristband must be wrn n the wrist and cannt be attached t a purse, keys, r anything ther than the attendee s wrist. If a Turnament Pass is purchased, it must be presented fr admissin n each subsequent day f the Turnament.
