1 2018/2019 Canada Cup GUIDELINES: Appendices: Marketing Agreement Results example Invitatin Example 1 Canada Cup Events The Canada Cup series presented by TOYO TIRES includes the fllwing events and disciplines: Canadian Selectins (Mguls) * Canada Cup Slpestyle/Halfpipe/Big Air (frmerly COT) Canada Cup Mguls & Dual Mguls (frmerly Can Series) Canadian Canadian Junir Champinships Mgul/Aerial Champinships presented by TOYOTA (nte: Mguls is nt a valued event fr the Canada Cup Rankings.) Canadian Canadian Junir Champinships HP/SS/BA Champinships presented by TOYOTA Canadian Mgul Champinships* presented by TOYOTA Canadian Aerial Champinships presented by TOYOTA * Indicates a FIS sanctined event The Nrth American Cup (NrAm) is nt cnsidered part f the Canada Cup. It is a separate tur that fllws FIS rules and FIS pint system. Freestyle Canada will help supprt NrAm Organizing Cmmittees but FIS Nrth American Cup Rules Apply.

2 2 Canada Cup Mandate 2.1 T prvide quality a cmpetitin circuit fr athletes primarily at the Learn-t-Cmpete ( L2C ) Stage. 2.2 Train t Train (T2T) prvincial athletes may transitin int lcal Canada Cup events as they are ready t mve up with their cach s guidance. Train t Cmpete (T2C) NrAm athletes may use Canada Cup at times fr ptimal training r return t play prtcl r event t gain mre results. 2.3 T supprt the the lcal club/regin and ski resrt with high quality training and cmpetitin venues that service the needs f all stakehlders. The Canada Cup requires the use f ski resrts and will wrk alng side the everyday business f the resrt. 2.4 T create pprtunities fr cmparisn and assessment f skill level between athletes in the LTAD stages attending the event. 2.5 T prvide results n ur Natinal Ranking system fr athletes at the Learn t Cmpete stage fr selectin t HPAD Prgrams; Prvincial & NextGen. 2.6 T identify, track and mnitr athlete develpment as athletes prgress twards the high perfrmance stream. 2.7 T prepare athletes fr the internatinal stage. 2.8 T prvide a valuable learning experiences in a reliable cmpetitin stream fr ur fficials judges and cach pathways. 3 Organizing Cmmittee The Organizing Cmmittee is the grup f rganizers that can either represent the lcal club, the PSO, the NSO, the ski resrt r a cmbinatin that will hst the event and reprt t Freestyle Canada. The OC shall execute a frmal agreement with the hst ski area and Freestyle Canada, setting ut the rights, bligatins, and expectatins f bth parties with respect t the staging f the Canada Cup. Hsting Grant: Freestyle Canada and The PSO and Club may jintly apply fr Prvincial Hsting Grants. Freestyle Canada may prvide financial supprt as they are able t based n the cntributins f the Freestyle Canada annual budget. Terms f the Hsting Grant will be detailed in the Event Agreement

3 4 Athlete Cmpetitin Readiness There are different levels f events in the Canada Cup circuit, teams will need t refer t the specific event invitatin and the athlete eligibility belw t learn the event eligibility. Organizers shuld cmmunicate clearly the LTAD level the event is targeted athletes. 4.1 General Guidelines: LTAD Stages within Canada Cup: Learn t Cmpete, Experienced Train t Train athletes wh need t experience higher level f events can enter Canada Cup events instead f reginal events. Cnsideratin is based n: Skill maturity and cach recmmendatin A cach recmmendatin including verificatin athlete ability t manage terrain. A PSO letter f recmmendatin Apprval by Directr f HPAD. Ptential age requirements. Train t Cmpete athletes wh are lking fr mre cmpetitin experiences as guided by their cach fr FC. All athletes must have a minimum f a Can Free Level 3 License. Please cnsult event invitatin fr specific license requirements. Air Qualificatin is required fr all inverted maneuvers, as designated by a Certified Air cach. Organizers can ask fr the athlete passprt at any time during an event. Events that have FIS designatin will fllw the FIS Guidelines Rules. Athletes require a FIS licenses t cmpete in a FIS event. Inquiries fr FIS licenses can be made t Sme events have age categries and entry is dependent n age, such as Canadian Canadian Junir Champinships Champinships. 4.2 Canada Cup Plicy fr Natinal Prgram Athletes Natinal Team athletes may at times attend Canada Cup events as part f their training and recvery with apprval frm their cach. If a Freestyle Canada Natinal Team prgram athlete qualifies fr the finals, they will nt take a finals spt away frm a nn-natinal team athlete. Fr example, if 2 Natinal team athletes qualify fr finals, the final field will increase by 2. This increase in finals is nly if the Natinal Team Athlete

4 makes it t finals. Due t sme field sizes this can be adjusted by the jury and will be discussed at the first team captains meeting. Natinal Team athletes will be ranked n the fficial final results, and are eligible fr medals and prize mney. Fr Canada Cup Rankings, Natinal Team Athletes are nt eligible fr the Canada Cup Champin trphies and are nt included in the rankings in Mguls, Slpestyle, and Halfpipe. NextGen Aerialists will be a part f the Canada Cup Rankings and eligible fr the Trphy. 5 Official Results: 5.1 Results Sheet The fficial results must cntain the fllwing infrmatin: Must include Freestyle Canada and spnsr lgs placed as per Canada Cup Event Agreement and the Canada Cup Template in Appendix Name f cmpetitin Name f Jury Members Site f cmpetitin Date and time f cmpetitin Discipline Rund i.e: Qualificatin, Final r Heat # All Judge names and TD Name f hst club Main curse specificatins Cmpetitr's names, bib numbers, hme club r PSO Cmplete scring calculatins (Canadian Canadian Junir Champinships Freestyle Skiing Champinships MOGUL has specific pace set calculatin ) The fficial results are made fficial fllwing an inspectin by the Chief f Scring, the Technical Delegate and the Head Judge, and by the applicatin f their signatures. Results frm qualifiers, semi-finals and finals must be published Ties will be brken using FIS rules. When in dubt FIS Wrld Cup Rules will take precedence. 5.2 Canadian Junir Champinships Scre Calculatins must include the fllwing: Results by discipline, by age categry (medal ceremny fr 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd in each categry)

All results, immediately after having been made fficial, shall be transmitted via in PDF t: Patrick@freestylecanada.ski and Julie@freestylecanada.ski Prize Mney is t be negtiated with the FC Cmpetitins Directr. Prize mney varies based n event budget and rganizing cmmittee capabilities. Prize mney is paid t the athletes at end f each day f cmpetitin. Equal awards and prize mney fr disciplines and gender where applicable. Live Scring: Scres taken by the screkeeper and published n the live feed shall be cnsidered unfficial scres. Whenever pssible, unfficial scres shuld be annunced t the public ver ludspeakers and/r psted at the tp/bttm f curse fr athletes and caches t see 5.4 Canada Cup Ranking The Canada Cup Ranking Criteria will be published annually by the Freestyle Canada High Perfrmance Athlete Develpment Directr and psted n the Freestyle Canada website under HPP Plicies. The Current Canada Cup Rankings will be psted n the Freestyle Canada website The Canada Cup Ranking will be updated after every event and updates psted within a week. 5.5 Ty Cup Ranking Ty Tires is the presenting spnsr f the Canada Cup and prvides an award t athletes cmpeting n the Canada Cup. Fr criteria g t

6 6 Field Sizes/Qutas 6.1 Field sizes are t be within athletes. The verall field size must reserve 50% spts fr Females and 50% Males. Organizing cmmittees can determine their field size (cap) alng with Freestyle Canada Cmpetitin Manager and the jury f the event dependent n the fllwing factrs: Equal male t female quta available at registratin. specific Quta requirements frmats per discipline are described belw in frmat charts Sectin 9, amunt f daylight hurs muntain peratins i.e. chair lift turn arund times. Unused Spts: Any unused spts may be mved t the ther gender as f 4 weeks prir t the first day f training. This timeline is after pririty r Quta registratin and befre final registratin deadlines. Again, Freestyle Canada will help manage this. 6.2 Qutas Qutas will wrk within the determined field size and will be allcated by Freestyle Canada t T/PSO fr the fllwing events. Freestyle Canada has specific qutas fr: Canadian Canadian Junir Champinships Freestyle Skiing Champinships Canadian Selectins, described in the Frmat Charts in Sectin Canadian Junir Champinships Quta Canadian Junir Champinships are 2 separate events fr HP/SS/BA and fr MO/AE. PSO s must allcate their spts fr each Champinship and nt by discipline. Results frm the previus MO and SS results will cunt twards the quta. Freestyle Canada will distribute the plicy by December 1 st each year and manage these qutas n an nging basis as per the prtcl in the plicy. *25 spts will be held fr aerials prgram specialist athletes s maximum aerials field size will be Freestyle Canada staff will wrk with PSO s directly t register mguls athletes fr the aerials event. Aerials will include a single kicker, dubles kicker, (single) mgul jump, and an upright flater jump. Switch take-ffs, switch landings and ff-axis tricks are nt permitted in aerials. PSOs are respnsible fr managing and executing their wn selectin criteria fr their quta as allcated by Freestyle Canada. PSO selectin criteria must align with the Freestyle

7 Canada principles fr the Train t Train athlete and Canadian Canadian Junir Champinships Freestyle Skiing Champinships. 6.4 Canada Cup Events These events d nt have qutas, hwever, there are early registratin pririties given t HPAD athletes ; PSO and NextGen teams. See the Registratin Timelines in Sectin 7. Freestyle Canada may instate qutas r minimum skill benchmarks if required by demand. i.e: nt enugh spts fr the demand f participants. 6.5 Out f Cuntry / Freign Qutas Canada Cup Athlete Plicy Nn-Freestyle Canada members may apply t register fr Canada Cup events and are managed by Freestyle Canada any inquiries can g t Patrick@freestylecanada.ski These spts are called Freign Quta, and Freestyle Canada has reserved a Freign Quta fr the different Canada Cup Events. Sme requirements are: Apprval letter stating frm their NSO: Athlete is in gd standing with their cuntry and FIS Prf f insurance cvering extreme sprt fr any required medical emergency treatment, evacuatin, csts f travel r accmmdatin during emergency, cverage in the case f extended disability while in Canada r death (transprt f bdy). May need t meet a minimum FIS pint requirement t enter the Canada Cup FIS events. FIS Canadian Selectins has its wn Out f Cuntry Plicies Please visit the charts belw t see the Quta rules fr each event 7 Event Registratin Invitatin: (see invitatin template in Appendix) The Organizing Cmmittee will distribute the Official Event Invitatin t the PSOs n later than 60 days befre the first day f Official Training. The invitatin must include the fllwing: Qutas (if applicable) Athlete Eligibility Frmat details Statement f Rule alignment Registratin link, fees, dates and deadlines; Can Free License requirement (and any ther prerequisites) If the event has FIS Status FIS License Requirements Event schedule;

8 Time and lcatin f first team captain s meeting; Accmmdatins; Banquets and ceremnies; Names f key Organizing Cmmittee members; Names f key technical fficials, if available Cnfirmed Spnsrs with lg placement as per Event Agreement 7.1 Entry Fees The fllwing ranges f entry fees are recmmended guidelines. The LOC has the final decisin f entry fee based n the event budget. 1 day event $160 - $180 2 day event $180- $200 3 day event $200- $220 4 day event $220-$240 Freestyle Canada Cup Fees- $20 per athlete included in registratin fees t be inviced by Freestyle Canada after the event nce the final registratin is cnfirmed. 7.2 Refund Plicy Once an athlete is cnfirmed n a start list, refunds will nt be issued. In the case f an injury the cach r parent must ntify the registratin desk, t infrm that an athlete is injured and unable t ski befre the Team Captains meeting the day befre cmpetitin day. In this case athletes are entitled t partial refunds f up t 50% per event. Requests fr refunds fr ther extrardinary circumstances shall be cnsidered nly at the discretin f the Organizing Cmmittee. If an event is cancelled due t weather r exceptinal circumstances n refunds will be prvided. (The rganizing cmmittee has already incurred all csts fr the event) 7.3 Registratin Timelines The early HPAD registratin plicy fr COT and Canadian Series has been created t ensure the PSO & NextGen athletes have an pprtunity t register and secure a spt at these events. The hst T/PSO must distribute invitatins thrugh the FC Cmpetitins Manager & the T/PSO and include the details f the team registratin deadlines, 2 mnths prir t the first day f training. *These timelines need t be included in event invitatin. 60 Days: invitatin publish & circulatin deadline 60 Days: Pririty Registratin pens fr 1 week: HPAD athletes; PSO /NextGen Teams 7 weeks befre first day f fficial training: OPEN registratin pens 2 weeks befre training: registratin clsed Wait List can be kept if registratin is full. When spts pen up, athletes will be ntified.

9 If pen spts remain, eligible athletes can register up until Team Captains meeting the day befre the event. 8 Canada Cup Rules Canada Cup Rules fllw ICR Rules as guidelines. The fllwing Canada Cup rules are adaptatins fr this level f cmpetitin. When rules are in discretin, the FIS Wrld Cup Rules will take precedence. 8.1 Emergency Actin Plan (EAP) and First Respnders (Ski Patrl) All Canada Cup Event Organizers must cmplete and submit an Emergency Actin Plan t Freestyle Canada. The Emergency Actin Plan must have the fllwing infrmatin: Name f Lead Ski Patrl Cmpetitin venue medical services, including number and lcatin f ski patrl and apprpriate medical equipment; On-site accident respnse prtcls; Transprtatin prtcls fr patient transprt t a medical facility, including grund and air ambulance transprt (if necessary); Lcatin f nearest hspital and Level 1 Trauma Centre; Maps f all medical facilities in relatin t Hst Muntain The Event Organizer shall prvide a minimum f 2 ski patrllers n cmpetitin sites at all time; this includes training and cmpetitin days. If an athlete is injured and if bth Ski Patrllers are required t escrt athletes ff the curse, the cmpetitin must nt begin until 2 Ski Patrllers have returned t the tp f the curse. Ski Patrllers must be registered Members f the Canadian Ski Patrller System.

10 8.2 Slpestyle Knll Master Risk Management Plan Prtcl Slpestyle A Knll Master r Jump Sptter are imprtant psitins that are respnsible fr pening and clsing Slpestyle jump s that athletes wh are entering jumps are ntified that the landing is nt clear. A knll Master must be psitined n the Knuckle f the jump with clear visibility f the landing and visible t the athlete entering the take ff. The knll master must have a flagging device and in the event f a clsure they will wave the flag in clear sightline t the athletes entering the feature. This indicates that the jump is clsed Athletes are trained t see clsures frm the knuckle and if the flag is waving it is athlete s respnsibility t clse dwn their entry. The first pririty f the Knll Master is t shut dwn their jump fr the safety f the athletes. The Secnd pririty is t ntify the curse cntrllers (starter and ther knll masters) that their jump is clsed Knll Master Prtcl is t be discussed at the team leaders meeting prir t fficial training 8.3 Unfficial Training Unfficial training cnsists f a cmpetitin venue that is pen t the public and cmpetitrs enter the venue at their wn risk. Emergency actin plans are the respnsibility f the athletes and the caches. 8.4 Official Training Each Canada Cup Event must prvide at least ne day f fficial training befre the day f cmpetitin. Fr NrAms (NAC 7) the OC must prvide a minimum f 6 hurs f fficial training ver a cnsecutive 2-day perid directly preceding the start f the cmpetitin, nt including day f event training. The event Jury may adjust the schedule and limit training nly fr issues f frce majeure. Fr Mguls keep Men and Wman training separate. Run 1 training blck fr bth Q1 and Q2. Finals shuld have fficial training prir t finals start. 8.5 Interruptin f Cmpetitin, as listed in ICR If there is an interruptin f a cmpetitin, the cmpetitin shuld be resumed when cnditins warrant. The results cmpleted befre the interruptin will remain valid if it is pssible t cmplete the cmpetitin n the same day. Otherwise, the results prir t the interruptin will be cancelled except if the Qualificatins r sme phases r runds f the finals have been fully cmpleted. In that case, nly the uncmpleted Finals phases will be pstpned but must be cmpleted n the same cmpetitin site. If the Finals cannt be fully cmpleted the results f the Qualificatins r different phases f the Final will be valid. 8.6 Weather Day There is n expectatin t have a weather day planned because the cst t an Organizing Cmmittee is prhibitive. Weather challenges will be discussed with the Jury and FC

11 Cmpetitins Manager. In the case f bad weather frmats can be changed t accmmdate a fair event. 8.7 Snw Cntrl date All Canada Cup Hsts are expected t demnstrate capacity t build a curse that meets Canada Cup Terrain Specificatins 1 week ut frm the first training date. In the event f pr snw cnditins, the OC and Freestyle Canada will wrk n an alternative plan a minimum f 3 weeks frm first training day. 8.8 Lss Of Skis Athletes wh lse a ski in Mguls, Dual Mguls r Slpestyle will have 10 secnds t replace their skis and cntinue with their cmpetitin run. If the athletes d nt replace their ski within the 10 secnd time limit, the athletes perfrmance will be judged up t the pint where the ski fell ff. If bth skis fall ff they will be scred t that pint. 8.9 DNF Canadian Champinships and FIS Canadian Selectins The exceptin is in Canadian Champinships and Canadian Selectins where skiers are awarded a DNF fllwing FIS ICR: Fr lss f ski(s) r stpping fr mre than 10 secnds during the Mgul cmpetitin ( ) Re-run Aerials In the Aerials cmpetitin a re-run may be granted fr lss f ski(s) after take- ff and befre landing. Only ne such re-run shall be granted fr each phase Pace Set Time Rules 8.12 Timing FIS events will use the current FIS rule Canada Cup will use ld FIS Pace Set: Men = 10.3 meters / sec, Wmen Meters / sec Canadian Junir Champinships pace set will be calculated after the 1st run by taking the tp 3 athletes, determined by cmbined turn & air scres (n speed,) and averaging the 3 times. Speed pints will then be calculated by using this pace set TIME. All Canada Cup events that use timing will ideally have back up electrnic timing, and als are required t have back-up hand timing. It is recmmended t use Time f Day settings in establishing lap times fr runs. In the case that hand-timers are required the designated A hand timing will be used, unless the TD ascertains that the B hand timing is mre accurate and will therefre be used in any need t fr hand timing.

12 8.13 Alteratins t The Curse Caches and athletes are prhibited frm making changes t the curse withut the permissin f the Chief f Curse specifically jump take-ffs. It is nted hwever at the Canada Cup level that caches shuld prvide feedback n curse/jump safety, and any specific cncerns abut curse safety shuld be brught t the attentin f the Chief f Curse as feedback thrughut the day, with frmal feedback at Team Leaders Meetings. If caches and r athletes feel a safety issue is nt addressed, at that pint the cnnectin cach shuld immediately bring the issue t the attentin f the Jury, and recgnized minimum Air4B certified experts cnsulted Prtests All Canada Cup Level caches shuld be familiar with the ICR 3050 regulatins arund prtests. It may fall nt t the TD t educate the caches n this sectin if there is a prblem which requires an fficial prtest. A frmal written prtest is required at the Canada Cup, hwever a depsit is nt required. In the event that a cach brings frward a cncern t a member f the Jury, The Jury at the Canada Cup may cnsider the issue withut having a cmpliant in writing. The Jury members are respnsible t share any issues under cnsideratin with the TD prir t cnfirming a decisin Use f Vide fr Disputes The Jury may view vide t reslve disputes r t determine needs fr a rerun. Judges scres CANNOT be altered based n vide review althugh DD may be crrected. Vide review may be used t reslve disputes fr assigned degree f difficulty in aerials r mguls, if the case is clearly presented prir t apprval f fficial results and apprved by the Head Judge. 9 Event Frmats There will be sme variatin in frmats due t weather, field size and venue restrictins. Any changes t frmat at event time will be a jury decisin and discussed at the first Team Captains Meeting. Organizers and the Jury are respnsible t ensure that event frmats are fair fr bth gender athletes. Frmats must be clearly cmmunicated in the Event Invite. Any changes in frmat r schedule must be well cmmunicated Prvide equal safe, cmpetitive experiences t each gender and pprtunities in the

13 Qualificatin and Final runds thrugh an eliminatin experience. Effective time allcated fr training which may separate males and females in sme case 9.1 Mguls EVENT FIELD SIZE & QUOTA ELIGIBILITY FORMAT Canadian Selectins Natinal Team prgram athletes have pririty 10 Freign spts 20 spts per QC, ON, AB, BC. Smaller prvinces will be accmmdated upn athlete eligibility. FIS age/license required: see ICR years f age n r befre December 31st 2018 Natinal Team Athletes autmatically earn a spt Member f a PSO Team Prgram, Develpment r Elite All ther athletes must meet Can Selectin MPL t be eligible: - athletes wh made ne Finals at a Canadian Series event (singles r duals) in the previus seasn December 1 t April 30. Injury clause culd be in effect under the guidance f the individual PSO. QUALIFICATION: Best f tw runs FINAL: 1 run, tp 40% frm qualificatin with a minimum f 6 athletes and a maximum f 20 athletes. Pririty Registratin: Natinal, PSO & Freign teams will have pririty until 5 weeks prir t 1 st training day. Freign Athletes need t be apprved by their cuntry and Freestyle Canada. Canada Cup Field Size: FINAL Field Size: 40% f registered entrants each gender with a minimum f 6 athletes and a maximum f 20 athletes. N Eligibility criteria but caches need t make sure athletes are ready t take n the curse specificatins and relative skill level. SINGLE: 3 rund LCQ frmat Q1: 1 run, Tp %50 f Final field size advances t Final. (ex. If final cut is 20 athletes, tp 10 advance frm Q1) Q2: Same run rder. 1 run. Tp %50 f final field size Advances t finals. (if cut is 20 than tp 10 advance frm Q2) Athletes can use tp scre frm either Q1 r Q2 FINALS: (if finals field size 20) Pririty Registratin clause fr HPAD Teams (PSO & NextGen) 1 Run, Tp 10 frm Q1 and tp 10 frm Q2. Injury clause culd be in effect under the guidance f the individual PSO. FINAL: Up t tp 32 seeded frm qualificatin. SINGLES: Qualificatin: single run FINAL: 1 run, tp 40% frm qualificatin with a minimum f 6 athletes and a maximum f 20 athletes. DUALS: Qualificatin Single Run FINAL: Dual frmat fr up t tp 24 frm qualificatins. Duals seeded frm mrning. SINGLES: Best f 2 runs CDN Jr Champin ships Presented by Tyta Canadian Canadian Junir Champinships Freestyle Skiing Champinships Quta Plicy t be psted by December 1st: Qutas will be given t PSOs fr each athlete t enter all 3 Aerial, Mgul & Duals events. Mguls Age categries Mguls: U14 (12 & 13) U16 (14 & 15) U18 (16 &17) Age categries can be merged if needed. * Speed pints: pace set will be determined after the 1st run by taking the tp 3 athletes (determined by turn & air scres - n speed) and averaging the 3 times. DUALS: Dual frm the start, seeded frm Single event, run by age categry.

15 9.2 Halfpipe and Slpestyle Canada Cup Recmmended field size f 80 Pririty Registratin: HPAD teams will have pririty until 4 weeks prir t 1 st training day. Freign Quta: 5, released 4 weeks prir N Eligibility criteria but caches need t make sure athletes are ready t take n the curse specificatins and relative skill level. Please cnsider number f days car will be at parking garage etc. 11 The Jury and Cmpetitin Psitins The Jury shall cnsist f: Technical Delegate (TD) Chief f Cmpetitin (CC) Head Judge (HJ)

21 11.1 Technical Delegate The Technical Delegates (TDs) will be appinted by the Freestyle Canada. The TD must be a Freestyle Canada recgnized natinal level TD. TDs can cme frm the hst divisin but must nt be part f the Organizing Cmmittee and shuld nt be frm the hst resrt and/r club Chief f Curse/COMP Payment is nt required, hwever strngly encuraged if budget permits. The Chief f Cmpetitin is the leader f the rganizing cmmittee and sits n the Jury t make sure the event peratins are all running smthly. This psitin requires imprtant decisin making and shuld be an experienced fficial. The Chief f Curse is key member f the technical team. Any persn in charge f curse management and develpment must have significant experience in building curses. The Mguls Chief f Curse must wrk clsely with visiting prvincial and lcal prvincial caches t prepare and maintain the air jumps. The Slpestyle Chief f Curse must wrk with the lcal Terrain Park Manager and the FC Cmpetitins Manager t ensure the terrain is apprpriate t accmmdate the number f features and skill level f athletes at least ne mnth prir. Often this is a cllabrative effrt between the 3 parties. The Chief f Cmpetitin and/r Slpestyle Chief f Curse must reprt if there are challenges with the curse t the PSO and Freestyle Canada as sn as pssible. The builder f The Slpestyle, Halfpipe, and Air curses MUST cmmunicate t Freestyle Canada, and the Chief f Curse at least ne mnth prir t the event that the curse meets the terrain standards fr T2T and L2C female and male athletes Judges All judges fr Canada Cup Mguls and Dual Mguls must have a minimum FIS C License r ideally B and the Head Judge shuld be either a FIS B r A Licensed judge. All judges fr Mguls and Dual Mguls are assigned by the Freestyle Canada and JAG Perfrmance Grup.

22 Fr Canada Cup Halfpipe and Slpestyle events, judges shuld have an AFP Silver Judging License, but AFP Brnze Judging License level may be apprved by the Freestyle Canada in advance. The Head Judge fr Canada Cup Halfpipe and Slpestyle must have a minimum AFP Silver License, and is ideally Gld certified. ROLE f the Head Judge: The Head Judge is respnsible fr cmmunicating and crdinating with the administratin f the Organizing Cmmittee n behalf f all the the judge panel. Judges are t be assigned by educatin and experience level. The OC will strive t include fficials frm each Prvince but this is nt always pssible give the availability. First and fremst, Judges must be qualified t the level f event they are assigned t. The Head Judge r an appinted representative f the judges panel must attend the Team Captain s meeting prir t first day f cmpetitin. Please see Head Judge respnsibilities n Scring 2017/2018 Canada Cup events will be scred by Wrld Cup Lite Chief f Scring shuld be a paid psitin at $125/day. Freestyle Canada will prvide supprt in finding capable trained scrers fr the Canada Cup. Scrers are very imprtant t the verall executin f the event. They are required t perate the scring sftware, create start lists, rganize heats, tabulate scres, and prvide results. Scrers usually begin t wrk n the event ne week befre the event start. There shuld be a registratin list sent t the Chief f Scring 5 days befre the first training day. Registratin list must be in XLS frmat. The Event Organizer must have access t a phtcpier and strng WIFI thrughut the cmpetitin. The Chief f Scring must als have a wrk statin n the curse preferably beside the Judging panel and with heat fr the electrnics. The Chief f Scring is an imprtant rle and requires assistants and runners that can keep scring accurate and keep the event flwing. If scring ges dwn, then the whle event is effected. 24 12 Canada Cup Marketing Agreement 12.1 The Event Organizer shall encurage the Hst Muntain t include infrmatin n the Event in its prmtinal and marketing activities during the perid leading up t and thrugh the Event The Event Organizer shall ensure FC crprate and nn-crprate partners receive apprpriate expsure n site, in advertising and n cllateral materials during the Event Event Organizers are encuraged t prmte pht, vide, televisin and scial media cverage. Shuld the LOC wish t make and use vide r film ftage f the event fr cmmercial purpses, they require written cnsent frm FC s Directr f Marketing, Cmmunicatins and Partnerships, which must be made a minimum 4 weeks prir t the event jennjhnsn@freestyleski.cm 12.4 The Hst Muntain shall have the pprtunity t lcate n mre than (2) banners (maximum size 3' x 10') n the curse f each Event. The number and lcatin f the banners will be negtiated between the Organizer and the Ski Area The Event Organizer will prvide the Hst Muntain lg expsure n the Event pster and in the Event prgram, shuld such items be prduced The Event Organizer is permitted t negtiate spnsrship pprtunities t crprate partners f the Hst Muntain prvided these crprate partners d nt cmpete with FC spnsrs in the same spnsrship categries. The LOC can sell Title Spnsrship fr the Event; the Canada Cup Series is the prperty f Freestyle Canada, hwever the Event individually can sld t a partner f the LOC with permissin f FC The Event Organizer will infrm lcal media f the Event prir t the Event and prvide results, shrt news release and pictures pst-event If the Event Organizer secures a spnsr that wuld like t have their lg included n the event bib. Event Organizers are respnsible fr the full cst f bib prductin. The fllwing are FC lg and partnership recgnitin requirements: The upper 1/3 f the bib is exclusive t Canada Cup Tur Title Spnsr. The middle 1/3 f the bib is used fr the athlete number. The bttm 1/3 f the bib is fr use by the LOC and is nrmally dedicated t the hst ski area. One shulder, frnt and back, must have FC lg. The ther shulder, frnt and back, may be used by the LOC. The LOC must prvide FC with all required lgs in a vectr-frmatted file (.eps,.ai). The LOC must prvide directin fr lg usage in the LOC dedicated areas n later than 8 weeks prir t the cmpetitin Spnsrship Sales and Televisin Sales activities shall be clsely crdinated between FC and LOC. Cnsistent with this, sales respnsibilities may be delegated frm FC t LOC r frm the LOC t FC if this is agreed t by bth parties FC will permit LOC t sell spnsrship fr the Event, prvided the spnsrs d nt cmpete r cnflict with FC Spnsrs and prduct categries already sld by FC.
