The Padres are coming off a 10-game homestand during which they posted an 8-2 record and series victories over the Philadelphia Phillies (3-1), San Francisco Giants (3-0) and Colorado Rockies (2-1). WITH A WIN TONIGHT: With a win this evening over the Giants, the Padres would improve to 10-7 this season against the Giants, securing their first season series victory over San Francisco since posting a 12-6 record against the Giants during the 2010 season.
