3 MidSuth Regin Articles f Cmpliance All cdes, rules and regulatins fund in the Official Pp Warner Rule Bk remain in effect fr all teams perfrming in the Reginal s. The teams perfrming in the MidSuth Reginal Champinships must abide by the fllwing guidelines: Must be declared League Champin as utlined in the Pp Warner Official Rulebk. 2 nd and 3 rd place will advance per the Regin. The champinships will cnsist f the fllwing age divisins: Junir Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junir Varsity, Varsity and Unlimited. In each age divisin, cheer teams will be small, medium and large further subdivided int PW1, PW2, PW3 and PW4. Dance will be held in each age divisin listed abve and subdivided int pm and theme. There will be a MidSuth Invitatinal Champinship that includes all the abve divisins and subdivisins fr teams placing 4 th and belw and will include exhibitins frm Tiny Mite and Mitey Mite teams. The Dance Dual regin test teams and all dance teams and level 4 teams will autmatically advance and cmpete at the League, Regin and Natinal events. Only rstered cheer and dance teams may qualify and cmpete in the Reginal Cheer and Dance Champinships. All participants must be current and fficially rstered members f their traditinal Pp Warner team and in cmpliance with all PWLS rules and prcedures. Their assciatin must be in gd standing with their League, Regin and Natinals. Teams cmpeting must have at least 6 members. Team size and status is based n yur rster cunt as f the first Mnday in Octber. All team unifrms must have Pp Warner patches prperly attached in the prper lcatin. Safety - The MidSuth Reginal Champinships will have mats in the warm up area and the cmpetitin arena. There will be NO practicing, tumbling, jumping r stunting anywhere except the designated practice rms at the htels and the specific matted surfaces at the Cnventin Center. Anyne, fund by any Pp Warner fficial, whether a single persn, grup f peple r team fund breaking the practice rules r any ther rules thrughut the weekend, risks disqualificatin. Wildcard Invitatins will be extended n Friday after the League Event ALL teams utside f a 50-mile radius are required t stay vernight nly in apprved accmmdatins and reserved thrugh PSE Husing. Any dcument which appears t have been frged r altered in any manner. B. Any ther certificate nt listed abve. Freign Language Dcuments: Must have an attached ntarized dcument translating the vital infrmatin int English (if applicable). If a cpy f a Birth Certificate has been previusly stamped by a current regin fficial, yu may cntinue t use that as an apprved Prf f Age. If yu have riginals and bring an extra cpy, nce the prf f age has been apprved, a member f the RMT will stamp the cpy and an riginal will n lnger be required by the current RMT. 3. Physical Frm must be a frm and page 2 cmpleted by a Licensed State Examiner: Sectin II must be cmpleted in its entirety ONLY by a Licensed State Examiner (medical dctr, nurse practitiner, etc. this may vary by state). NO ther frms are acceptable unless Sectin II is mdified r substituted ONLY t cmply with lcal and/r state laws OR because f medical practitiner regulatins (i.e. the medical practice insists n its wn frm). In either case, Sectin I must still be filled ut entirely and attached t any mdified/substituted frm that MUST be signed in the current calendar year All Student Dems and Cach Trainees must be certified in the same way as the participants with ALL required dcumentatin Sectin 6 includes ALL rstered staff members in alphabetical rder with Student Dems and Cach Trainees in alphabetical rder after the caches. There are bathrms fr participants and caches ONLY in this area als. ID Checkpint - Arrive at the ID checkpint 10 minutes befre yu are schedule t check in. N earlier, n later. Each team will g thrugh an ID check statin. ID s will be check fr all participants and caches. Yu will need yur team bk fr the fllwing things: Reginal Bk Pass Sheet Signed rster All picture ID s Caching staff will receive their credentials upn presentatin f their Pp Warner Pht ID and signed rster. Picture Statin There will be an fficial team picture statin after ID check. Each team will take their picture with the fficial phtgrapher. 11 Warm Up Statins Each team will have a stretch time, a tumble/jump/stunt time and a full ut time. Caches shuld plan their warm up time accrdingly. If yu are late fr warm up, yu will lse that time. Hlding After warm up, teams will be n hlding where they may get water and use the bathrm. Teams are t remain rderly and quiet in hlding. Yu may be pulled aside and interviewed at this statin. NOTE: Teams shuld leave ALL their persnal belngings with their parents. Yu will nt be able t g back int the warm up area t retrieve anything. N participants are allwed t bring bags with them int the warm up area, cmpetitin flr r awards ceremny. N fd, drinks, flwers r chewing gum n flr during awards ceremny. NO high heeled shes f any kind n the cmpetitin flr. Music Statin Each team will have a designated ROSTERED music persn. Each team must have 2 cpies f their music n CD r an IPOD. There are the ONLY music frms accepted. Only yur rutine music is t be place n the CD. Yur designated rstered music persn will be directed t the music statin as yur team is sent t hlding after warm up. Music will be checked as yu arrive at the music statin. Prp Placement Caches may nt place prps n mats fr team. Participants may nt bring prps ut t the flr befre being annunced t the flr. Caches Seating Caches will be directed t a seating area in frnt f the cmpetitin flr. Remember, yu may cheer with yur team but nt direct r cach them physically r verbally. VIP Fan Seating Fans f the team perfrming may enter a secured family viewing area (in frnt f the judges stand) t cheer n their team as they perfrm. Fans shuld arrive 5 minutes befre the team s schedule t perfrmance n the cncessin side f the judges stand. The area will be clsed befre the team takes the flr. When the rutine is cmplete, the area will be cleared ut befre the next grup f fans enter. Sister teams shuld plan t stand in this area. Fans cannt hld up signs, flags r pms abve shulder level. Display gd sprtsmanship, respect fr the perfrmers and als be aware f the judges view. Cmpetitin Flr A vlunteer will tell yu when t take the flr and direct yu ff the flr after yur perfrmance. 12 NOTE: Teams will NOT be tld t take the flr r t start their perfrmance by the MC! Judges and Sptters The judges will be directly in frnt f yur team during yur perfrmance as well as the videgrapher and phtgrapher. Cmpetitin sptter will be prvided fr safety and will be at the back f the mats. The sptter will step up t the back f yur stunts fr safety. Yu may want t practice this prir t cmpetitin t make sure yur athletes are aware and cmfrtable. Vide Replay Statin After yur perfrmance, yur teams will be immediately escrted t an area t watch a replay f their rutine. Rstered participants and caches nly. Yur parents may meet yu at the Freelance pht area behind the judges table after yur perfrmance t take pictures. Awards Ceremny Teams will be called t the warm up area t line up fr the awards presentatin. Once in line, teams will be escrted t the cmpetitin area and seated utside the mats. One Cach and nly 2 participants frm each team will be seated n the mats t receive awards with the exceptin f TM and MM wh will receive team medallins fr each participant. Trphy Presentatin The regin will award place t the tp 1/3 f teams in a divisin/size/level. NOTE: NO PHOTOS ARE TO BE TAKEN ON THE COMPETITION FLOOR. THE OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER WILL TAKE PICTURES AND THE AWARDS WILL BE ON DVD. Advancing Teams 1 st and 2 nd place in each divisin/size/level will advance t the Pp Warner Natinal Champinship in Disney Wrld beginning December 8 th. A nn-refundable depsit f $500 per team will be required t be written by the Assciatin r League fr each team advancing. Checks shuld be made payable t MidSuth Regin Pp Warner. 13 Advancing Head Caches will receive their scring packet and an advancing infrmatin sheet when they turn in their depsit. Legality Review Statin At time f Scre Sheet Pick Up, the Head Cach may request a brief meeting with the Head Legality Judge fr vide review t better understand a listed legality deductin fr their team nly. Scring is based n YCADA PW1, PW2, PW3, PW4 and Dance-Pm Perfrmance, Theme Dance. NOTE: All judges decisins are final. Reginal Husing ALL teams are required t stay at apprved reginal husing as designated and secured thrugh PSE Turnament Husing. Husing infrmatin can be fund n a separate page. Prper Caching Attire In cmpliance with the natinal Caching Attire plicy, the MidSuth Reginal has adpted the same plicy. Prper Caching attire shall cnsist f Business, Business Casual r Game Day attire in the frm f a dress, suit, khaki r dress pants and a pl (with the Pp Warner lg and/r team/assciatin/league name and/r lg) r team warm up suite with team lg. The fllwing items are nt acceptable: jeans, shrts, flip flps r tanks tps. Caching staff cnsists f rstered staff t include all crdinatrs, team caches, cach trainees and student demnstratrs. If nt in prper caching attire, yu will nt be allwed t stay with yur team during warm up, perfrmance r awards. Team Curfew All teams will bserve a 10:00 pm curfew every night yu are at reginals. As such, all participants MUST be in their wn assigned rms by 10:00 pm r participants, caches and/r the team/assciatin as whle shall be subject t disciplinary actin including but nt limited t frfeiture f cmpetitin placement/awards, suspensin and remval frm the htel with NO refunds. Hwever, participants accmpanied by their designated chapernes that are at least 21 years r lder, wh are returning frm rganized team activities utside f their htels, shall be excused frm such curfew but, must immediately be escrted by such chapernes t their rms upn returning t their htels. All participants must be in their assigned rms by 10 pm regardless f whether their cmpetitin has begun, is nging r is cmpleted. Any participants fund utside their assigned rms past 10 pm while they are still registered as a Pp Warner grup shall be subject t disciplinary actins alng with their caches, teams and/r assciatins as stated abve. 14 Admissins Csts Admissin is $12.00 fr everyne 5 and lder. Anyne under 5 is admitted free. Age verificatin may be required. Ftball Teams - Ftball teams participating in reginal champinships n champinship weekend may be admitted t the spirit champinships t watch as a teams in their team jersey/warm up suits and accmpanied by their head cach wh has received and displays his credentials. Only rstered players f that team will be admitted free. Cheer and Dance Teams participating in reginal champinships may be admitted t the spirit champinships t watch as a team in their unifrm/team warm up suits and accmpanied by their head cach wh has received and displays their credentials. NOTE: ALL ther will be required t pay including caches, assciatin staff members and participants frm any ther teams. NO VIDEO, PICTURE TAKING PERMITTED Our plicy is t prtect the safety and security f ur yuth participants and t prtect yur children and privacy. Vide cameras, cameras, cell phne, Ipad, ntebk pictures r vides will nt be permitted at any time in the warm up rm r cmpetitin arena flr and area by unauthrized persns. Any persn taking pictures r vide frm any device will be asked nce t stp. If directin is nt fllwed, that persn will be remved frm the arena by the plice. Only the authrized videgrapher, phtgrapher and reginal appintees will be allwed such access. Fd and Drinks NO utside fd r drinks are allwed in the cnventin center r ftball fields. Cncessins will be available at bth. NOTE: Persnal bags may be checked upn entry NO Saving Seats N ne will be allwed t save seats at the cnventin center. N signs, psters, purses r bags f any kind can be put in a seat yur physical being is nt sitting in. 15 NOTE FOR HEAD COACHES: Yu are respnsible fr the behavir f yur team, yur staff and yur parents. Please make sure yu have a team/parent/staff meeting t insure they knw all the rules f reginals and natinals. Yu d nt want yur team disqualified fr behavir. Examples: vide r picture taking during cmpetitin, saving seats, being rude t ther teams, bringing in utside fd r liquids f any kind, etc. Team Eligibility and Registratin Infrmatin All teams participating in the Regin Champinships must cmplete the nline registratin frm. 1. T be eligible fr advancement t the MidSuth Reginal Champinships and Pp Warner Superbwl, all spirit teams must meet the fllwing criteria: 2. All teams must fllw the Pp Warner Little Schlars Regin/Natinal Champinship rules and regulatins as published fr the current seasn in the Pp Warner Natinal Rulebk. 3. League Qualifiers (1 st -3 rd place) will be invited t participate nce the Articles f Understanding/Statement f Acceptance has been submitted t and received by the Pp Warner Natinal ffice befre Nvember 15, and all ther reginal/natinal requirements have been met. 4. All certified rsters, schlastic fitness dcumentatin and ther required dcuments fr each participant/team must be submitted by the deadline t the applicable reginal/natinals persnnel. 5. Upn apprval frm each entity receiving dcumentatin, the RCDC shall issue a clearance fr advancing teams and invitatins fr the invitatinal teams t participant in the Reginal/Natinal Champinships. 6. The teams wh place 1 st and 2 nd in each divisin/size/level will advance t the Pp Warner Natinal Champinships. 7. Accrding t the Natinal Cheer and Dance Articles, nce a team cmmits t participate in the reginal cmpetitin, they are als cmmitting t cmpete in the Natinal Champinships. The link t the Natinal Frms: Husing Infrmatin ALL teams are required t stay at apprved reginal husing as designated and secured thrugh PSE Turnament Husing. If yur team is 50 miles utside the Reginal Event City, yu are required t stay in reginal apprved htels. All husing must be secured thrugh PSE Turnament Husing. Any team fund using surces utside the regin requirement will nt be allwed t participate and will be subject t fines nt t exceed $1, IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please ensure yu have planned fr and included everyne accmpanying yur team.
