3 Prgram Descriptins Sign Ups fr the Arlingtn Elite Cmpetitive Cheer & Dance and Arlingtn Recreatin Cheer will be cnducted March 1, 2012 thrugh April 15, Depsits are due at the time f Sign Ups Once yu turn in yur cmplete registratin packet with depsit, yu can begin ur Grup Tumbling Sessins fr a discunted rate f $50 a mnth thrugh April, Recreatinal Cheer Teams: The purpse f the Recreatinal Cheer Teams is t supprt the Arlingtn Yuth Sprts and Arlingtn Tiger s Grey Y Ftball teams. With signing up fr this prgram, yu will be required t attend all Ftball games, Jambree, Hmecming and any ther functins cnducted by these rganizatins. Ftball games will be a minimum f ne times a week with maximum f tw times a week. The AYS Bantam and PeeWee Recreatinal teams will cmpete in lcal cmpetitins, Nvember thrugh January. The PeeWee team will als cmpete at the Smkie Muntain Reginals in Sevierville, TN (Wilderness f the Smkies Indr Waterpark) in December. AYS/Grey Y Junir and Senir teams will cmpete in the Midsuth Reginals and/r SYS Cheer Off in Nvember, s their seasn will be May thrugh Nvember. This prgram fllws the SYS and AYS bylaws fr cmpetitive cheer. Fr the Mnths f June and July, cheer and tumbling classes are nt Mandatry, but are highly recmmended t be prepared fr the SYS Camp in July and Jambree in August. Yu are respnsible fr the $6.00 practice/class fee whether yur participant attends practice r nt. Cheer Classes will cnsist up basic stunting technique, cheer sidelines, jumps, etc. Practices/Classes will be held up t tw (2) times a week fr 1 ½ hurs each. Additinal practices may be added up t tw weeks befre Camp and/r cmpetitins. Practices will be held at CSI Gym until ftball seasn begins, then per SYS guidelines, ne day a week will be held n the practice fields, alng with the ftball practices. CSI Gym will ffer Grup tumbling classes fr $50.00 a mnth, due n the 1 st f each mnth. Practice/Classes will be verseen by USASF Credentialed Caches that are als AACCA Safety Certified. Recreatinal Cheer Teams will be able t participate in all Fundraising pprtunities ffered by CSI Gym and Arlingtn Elite. All-Star Cheer and Dance Teams: The purpse f the All-Star Cheer and Dance teams is t attend all cmpetitins decided by Arlingtn Elite staff. These teams are strictly cmpetitive teams. All practices, stunt, stretching and tumbling classes are mandatry. Tiny teams will cmpete lcally. Mini and Dance teams will cmpete lcally as well as up t 2 ut f twn cmpetitins. Yuth, Junir and Senir teams are Natinal Teams and will attend up t 4 ut f twn cmpetitins, including DisneyWrld in March. Practices fr Tiny, Mini and Dance teams will be held up t tw (2) times a week fr 1 ½ hurs each. Additinal practices may be added up t tw weeks befre cmpetitins. Yuth, Junir and Senir teams will be held up t three (3) times a week fr 2 hurs each. Additinal practices and practice length may/will be added up t tw weeks befre cmpetitins. Unlimited tumbling and/r dance technique is Free t Arlingtn Elite Participants. Fundraising Opprtunities are available t help fund the All-Star expenses.

4 Parent/Participant Cde f Cnduct My child must attend all practices, parades, dems, and cmpetitins. It is imperative that the participant arrives at all practices, cmpetitins, r any ther scheduled events n time. Punctuality is a MUST!! Once I sign this cntract, I am respnsible fr the cmplete seasn f Mnthly Tuitin fr the prgram that I chse payable t CSI Gym, whether I attend the classes/practices r nt. If I chse t leave this prgram nce the cntract is signed, I am nt eligible fr any refund f payments r fundraising funds already paid int the prgram. The participant must respect the dress cde. Hair must be tied back away frm the face with a cheer bw; cheer/dance shes tied; n shw scks. Shrts can nly be rlled nce, and shirts cannt be tied. All participants abve 11 years f age must wear sprt bras and blmers. N jewelry is allwed at practice r cmpetitins. N nail plish is allwed at cmpetitins. Persnal belngings shuld be left at hme. CSI Gym is nt respnsible fr lst r stlen prperty. If my child is sick, he/she is still required t attend practice (unless permissin is btained frm a cach prir t practice). He/She will nt be required t participate but is required t attend. I cannt use grunding frm the Cheer r Dance team as a frm f punishment as this is detrimental t the entire team and nt just ne team member. If there is a questin r cncern, the chain f cmmand must be fllwed (Team Representative, Administratr, Head Cach, r ne f the Gym Owners) GOSSIP will NOT be tlerated abut ther teammates r CSI/Arlingtn Elite prgrams. Oh yeah, we seriusly mean NO GOSSIP, NO GOSSIP, NO GOSSIP! Drama will nt be tlerated at any level! There will be NO prfanity r abusive language in r arund the gym r at cmpetitins. All Recreatin and Arlingtn Elite team members, parents, family members, and friends will shw gd sprtsmanship, plite manners, and a kind dispsitin at all times. N ne is allwed t pst Arlingtn Elite r the Recreatinal Cheer r Dance music, chregraphy, rutines, stunts, etc n any websites. This includes My Space, Facebk, Yu Tube, etc. withut prir permissin frm a CSI Gym wner. I am respnsible fr cmmunicating any injuries that my child has, whether it happened inside r utside f practice. I understand that Arlingtn Elite and/r Arlingtn Recreatinal Cheer will expect me t take my child t a physician as sn as an injury ccurs. I understand that I will need t supply a dctr s nte in rder fr my child t return t participatin in practices and/r cmpetitins. I will need t attend all parent meetings r have smene take ntes fr me in my absence. I am nt allwed t be in the practice gym r practice areas during practices, r n the cmpetitin flr/team areas at cmpetitins, nr allwed t speak t any cmpetitin fficial. My child must wear their assigned Arlingtn Elite and/r Arlingtn Recreatin practice utfit t every practice. I understand that if my child des nt have the cmplete practice utfit, they may be subject t disciplinary actin by the caching staff r may be asked t purchase a new utfit frm the Spirit Stre. I need t be respectful f the Arlingtn Elite caches, Arlingtn Recreatin Caches, CSI Gym staff and vlunteers. Each team will watch and supprt ur ther teams at cmpetitins. Gd sprtsmanship is a must! Practice days and times may change thrughut the year t accmmdate either the caches r gym s schedule. We try t g strictly by the mnthly calendar but changes can ccur. If there is a change, we will place the change n the website calendar as well as it ut. Arlingtn Elite and Arlingtn Recreatin uses their website and as the primary surce f cmmunicatin. I understand that I am respnsible fr btaining the infrmatin frm smene else if a cmputer is nt available t me. The caches reserve the right t clse practices at any time fr any reasn. N ne is allwed t yell nt the flr r try t make cntact thrugh the parent viewing area windws during practices r tumbling classes. This is extremely distracting t all invlved! Parents are never allwed t represent Arlingtn Elite, Arlingtn Yuth Sprts, Arlingtn Tigers r CSI Gym, Inc. under any circumstances cncerning accmmdatins, cmpetitins, r any ther situatin. These plicies may be changed by adding r subtracting any rule at any time. I understand that a parent s negative actins and attitude can result in their child s dismissal frm the prgram! Remember, there culd be smene listening t yur cnversatin n matter where yu are!

5 Plicy & Prcedures Tardiness: Yu are cnsidered tardy t practice if yu are nt n the practice flr ready t practice when yur practice time BEGINS. This includes designated practice clthing, shes n & tied tightly, hair tied up ut f face, n jewelry, and n chewing gum. Absences: Cheerleading and dance teams are the equivalent t all ther sprting teams. We expect 100% dedicatin t yur team. Attendance is mandatry! Excused absences include, but are nt exclusive t the fllwing: 1. A schl functin that results in a grade fr the class; 2. A death in the family; 3. A cntagius sickness such as the stmach virus, strep thrat, etc. Yu must first cntact the Team Rep r Cach befre practice begins. Unexcused absences include, but are nt exclusive t the fllwing: 1. Jbs 2. Dances, birthday parties, cncerts, banquets, etc. 3. Schl prjects, hmewrk r tests 4. Family Vacatins In rder t keep the practice schedule at a minimum, every hur that we have with the team is precius with every minute being used. Please encurage the participant t cme t practice prepared t wrk. Excessive tardiness r absences culd result in dismissal frm the team. If yu are tardy r absent frm a scheduled cmpetitin, yu culd be immediately dismissed frm the team. Yu must attend practice if yu are sick (nt cntagius). Discuss yur illness with the cach, and the cach will determine whether r nt yu can participate in practice. Please schedule all absences fr the mnths f June and July with the Team Rep at least ne mnth prir t the absence. The mandatry chregraphy camp will be annunced at the first parent meeting. Please schedule all vacatins arund the camp date. Beginning in August, all practices are mandatry. N absences will be allwed during the week leading up t any scheduled cmpetitin r Dem. NO EXCEPTIONS. We cannt stress hw imprtant yur attendance is. There is chregraphy, stunting, frmatins, etc. taught at every practice. If yu miss that infrmatin, yu culd hld the entire team back. Injuries and Cnditining: Cheerleading/Dance is a highly cmpetitive and dangerus sprt. Stunting, jumping, tumbling, stretching and dancing culd lead t injuries that include, but are nt limited t, bruises, pulled r strained muscles, trn r strained ligaments, brken bnes, dislcatins, paralysis r even death. We at CSI Gym and Arlingtn Elite take every precautin t limit these injuries. Unfrtunately, we cannt prevent them all. In the event that yur child is injured, we will take every measure t ensure yur child s well being. Cheerleading and dance is a very strenuus sprt. All f the athletes must be in gd physical cnditin. In ur practices, we will include exercises that will help with flexibility, strength and endurance. If needed, yu may be required t take an additinal tumbling class, stretching class and/r stunting class. All extra classes will be billed t yur CSI Gym accunt. All participants are required t take care f their bdy. There are ABSOLUTELY n drugs, alchl, and/r tbacc allwed during the seasn. If anyne is caught drinking, smking, dipping r using drugs, they will be expected t take the necessary steps t quit and/r receive help. CSI/Arlingtn Elite staff will help in any way. IClassPr Participant Accunt Prgram: CSI Gym will be using an nline accunting prgram beginning this seasn. With this prgram, yu will be able t see yur accunt charges, payments and/r credits 24 hurs a day. Yu will als be able t make payments tward yur accunt, change individual infrmatin and see updated calendars and schedules. Yu will als have the pprtunity t sign up fr camps and ther ffered prgrams thrugh this prgram. We will g ver this prgram in mre detail at the first parent meeting in May.

6 Travel: All participants will use the same accmmdatins at all ut f twn cmpetitins, unless previusly apprved by a CSI Gym wner. There must be ne adult chaperne in every rm, unless apprved by parent in writing. Yu, as the parent/guardian, must crdinate an adult chaperne fr the participant t cntact at every cmpetitin yu are nt attending. It will nt be yur cach, Team Rep r CSI/Arlingtn Elite staff s respnsibility. It is yur respnsibility t pay the htel directly r the The Travel Agency fr yur rm befre the annunced expiratin date. If yu have nt made reservatins by the expiratin date, then it is yur respnsibility t find a rm in the hst htel. The htel may r may nt give yu the discunted rate. When pssible, if yu have a credit in yur accunt, yu will be able t use these additinal funds twards yur ut f twn travel. If yu are nt attending an ut f twn cmpetitin, it is the respnsibility f the parent/guardian t cntact a parent wh is attending t btain accmmdatins and transprtatin fr the participant. A prtin f the htel and travel cst must be paid t that persn. Bus service may be prvided t the ut f twn cmpetitins. The cst f the bus is an additinal fee that will be paid by each participant. Prper traveling attire will be decided and discussed prir t each cmpetitin. The Travel Agency will reserve a blck f rms at a htel f ur chice. At times we are limited t ur htel selectins. Therefre, be prepared t pay up t $ a night fr accmmdatins. Safety is als a majr factr when chsing a hst htel. Yu will be infrmed via nce the blck f rms has been reserved. The will cntain the htel name, phne number, and grup reservatin number. It is yur respnsibility t reserve yur rm, and payments must be made directly t the htel r The Travel Agency. Practice Dress Cde: N sprts bras nly! Fr participants in 6 th grade and lder, sprts bras shuld always be wrn under T- shirts, tank tps and/r unifrm. Our caching staff prefers nt t see the participants undergarments! Parents, please help us enfrce this rule. If the participant is a flyer, dancer r is taking a stretch r stunt class, they shuld always wear blmers r tight fitting shrts under a regular pair f shrts. Scheduled Practice utfit with bw is required at every practice. Must always were yur cheer shes t all cheer, stunt, stretching and/r tumbling practice. NO jewelry at all! Wearing jewelry f any kind culd result in an injury t yur child r t anther. This includes necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, tngue rings, facial rings, belly buttn rings, etc. Fingernails shuld be kept shrt. N fake nails. Cmpetitin Dress Cde: Full unifrm shuld be wrn t each cmpetitin. This includes unifrm tp, skirt/pants, blmers, n shw scks, CLEAN shes & bw. Hair must be pulled up in a sleeked back, tight pnytail at the crwn f yur head. Teams will be given a Team Hair and makeup instructins befre the first cmpetitin. Hair and makeup must be cmpleted befre entering the cmpetitin venue. The participant is NOT allwed t wear jewelry at any time during the cmpetitin day. This culd result in yur team being disqualified. Fundraisers: There are many fundraising pprtunities thrughut the year. These fundraising funds will g twards gym, cmpetitin, chregraphy, mst travel, unifrm fees, etc. The fundraising funds cannt g twards the Spirit Stre items. This stre is nt wned by CSI Gym. We are guaranteed cncessins at the Redbirds Stadium, FedEx Frum, Prnt Pup and Memphis in May beverage bths (bth nn-alchlic & alchlic). If yu sign up fr an event, yu will be respnsible fr a representative t shw up and wrk that time slt. If yu are a n shw, yur participant s accunt will be charged a $50.00 NO SHOW fee. When cllecting mnies, all payments shuld be made payable t yu. Yu will then cut ne check t Arlingtn Elite. N exceptins. Arlingtn Elite will nt accept any checks frm a nn-member.

7 Cmpetitins: The caching staff will select all cmpetitins. All teams culd travel utside f the Memphis area. Sme teams may travel mre than thers. All-Star Cmpetitin seasn begins in Octber and will run thrugh April, r All Level Champinships, whichever cmes first, f the next year. If a team receives a paid bid t the All Levels Champinships, then that team will be required t represent Arlingtn Elite. Recreatinal Teams will be required t d a minimum f ne cmpetitin but up t 5 beginning in Nvember thrugh February, depending n the team. The Bster Club fficers will meet the first Tuesday f each mnth, excluding June and July, unless infrmed in writing that the meeting has been changed.
