Directr f Shting Technical Delegate Organizing Cmmittee Prvincial/Territrial Sprt Organizatin member f Archery Canada an individual wh is a registrant (member) f a PSO/TSO member f Archery Canada r therwise recgnized as a registrant (member) f Archery Canada 720 Rund The 720 Runds are a cmpsite f utdr target runds f 72 arrws that includes the runds described in AC t Qualificatin Rund Traditinal Yuth Fr Recurve (and Barebw in Canada) - the WA 70m Rund, the 60m Rund and als distances fr Cub and Pre-Cub athletes sht n the 122cm target face. Fr Cmpund (and ther cmpund bw divisins in Canada) the WA 50m Rund fr Cmpund and als distances fr Cub and Pre-Cub athletes sht n the 80cm target face. riginally refers t runds sht t qualify athletes fr subsequent events and t rank them befre eliminatin and finals matches are sht. These are typically a 720 Rund, r a rund f Field r 3D curses. Wrld Champinships Wrld Archery arranges fr the rganisatin f the fllwing Champinships: Wrld Archery Champinships: Recurve and Cmpund Divisins; Wrld Archery Indr Champinships (ptinal fr Junirs): Recurve and Cmpund Divisins; Wrld Archery Field Champinships (ptinal fr Junirs): Barebw, Recurve and Cmpund Divisins; Wrld Archery Yuth Champinships (Junirs and Cadets): Recurve and Cmpund Divisins; Wrld Archery Para Champinships: Recurve and Cmpund Divisins; Wrld Archery 3D Champinships: Barebw, Instinctive Bw, Lngbw and Cmpund Divisins; Target, Indr and Field Archery fr Masters: Barebw (fr Field nly), Recurve and Cmpund Divisins (if pssible tgether with ther Masters events). And fr the divisins as defined in their respective chapters: Wrld Archery Flight Champinships; Wrld Archery Ski Champinships; Wrld Archery Run Champinships. Despite the abve prvisin, a Wrld Champinship des nt have t be awarded if the Executive Bard determines it is nt apprpriate Cntinental Champinships Cntinental Assciatins may arrange fr the rganisatin f Cntinental Champinships Dates Wrld Archery Champinships shall be held every tw years as fllws: Wrld Archery in dd years; Wrld Archery Field in even years; Wrld Archery Indr in even years; Wrld Archery Yuth in dd years; Wrld Archery Flight in even years; Wrld Archery Ski every year; Wrld Archery Run in even years; Wrld Archery 3D in dd years; Wrld Para-Archery in dd years; Wrld Archery Masters in even years Allcatin f Champinships Any rganisatin willing t hst a Wrld Champinship accrding t Wrld Archery requirements can submit a bid t the Secretary General thrugh the Member Assciatin f the cuntry in which the champinship shall take place The bid shall be submitted in writing and shall include: The dates The venue An assurance that, as far as can be reasnably freseen, n difficulties shall araise fr athletes and fficials frm any eligible Member Assciatin n grunds f natinality, race, religin r plitics and fr the free passage thrugh custms f equipment r trphies A bidding cntract signed by all parties and apprved by the Executive Bard A guarantee that they shall prvide all facilities and cmply with all specificatins f the respective rganising manual in effect at the time f signing the bid cntract A written statement accepting the Wrld Archery Cnstitutin and Rules including the Cde f Ethics and Cnduct Any ther infrmatin required by Wrld Archery. 8 AC 3.0 Archery Canada Champinships AC Canadian Champinships Archery Canada arranges fr annual Canadian Champinships: Outdr Target Champinships; Field Champinships; Reginal Indr Target Champinships; 3D Outdr Champinships; 3D Indr Champinships. In additin t Canadian Champinships, Archery Canada arranges fr and/r rganizes ther events such as: Canadian Open - held in cnjunctin with the Canadian Outdr Target Champinships, Team Trials; Indr Mailmatch which is an annual indr turnament held at clubs acrss Canada, Outdr Mailmatch which is an annual utdr turnament held at clubs acrss Canada and facilitates: Wrld Archery Americas, Multisite Indr Champinship f America (MICA). AC Prvincial and Other Champinships Affiliated Prvincial and Territrial Sprt Organizatins and ther rganizatins may arrange fr champinship-style events such as: Prvincial Indr Target Champinship, Prvincial Outdr Target Champinship, Prvincial 3D Champinship, Prvincial Games Pan-American Games High Schl Archery Champinship, Canada Games, Western Canada Games These rganizatins may rganize and perate their events in whatever manner they require. Such events may utilize Archery Canada rules as the basis f the technical specificatins and the prcedures fr their events. AC Dates AC Canadian Champinships are held each year: Outdr Target Champinships at the end f July r in August, Field Champinships at the end f July r in August, Reginal Indr Target Champinships n the first full weekend in March, 3D Outdr Champinships n the lng-weekend at the beginning f August, 3D Indr Champinships during late winter r early spring AC Allcatin f Canadian Champinships AC Champinships are allcated t a hsting rganizatin(s) within a Prvince r Territry f Canada accrding t a list f rtatin published by Archery Canada (see Appendix AC 1 Canadian Champinships Rtatin Schedules). AC the rtatin f Champinship lcatins may be peridically altered by Bard f Directrs as necessitated by circumstances and accrding t plicy. AC All Archery Canada Outdr Champinships (Target, Field, 3D) will be held in the same Prvince/Regin and, as best as pssible, shuld be held in the same area that enables archers t participate in all events. AC Any affiliated Club willing t hst a Champinship can submit a bid t the t their respective Prvincial/Territrial Sprt Organizatin. The Archery Canada Bard f Directrs will nly cnsider bids supprted by the PSO/TSO. AC The bid shall be submitted thrugh the PSO/TSO in writing and shall include prpsed dates prpsed schedule prpsed venue prpsed hsting accmmdatin names f the prpsed hsting Club(s) fficers f the prpsed Organizing Cmmittee any ther infrmatin required t cmplete a hsting agreement Archery Canada Octber 2014 AC 4

9 The selectin f the hst cuntry shall be made by Executive Bard frm the eligible bids, and fllwing a thrugh investigatin If a Member Assciatin has been entrusted with the rganisatin f a Champinship and is unable t hld it r t uphld the cmmitment under Article , the Secretary General and all Member Assciatins shall be infrmed immediately The hst Member Assciatin shall be liable fr all actual and reasnable expenses directly linked t the failure t hst the Champinship r t uphld the cmmitments f Article The pssible reallcatin f such a Champinship shall be decided by the Executive Bard If a Member Assciatin wishes t change the lcatin f a Champinship it may nly d s in exceptinal circumstances and with the prir apprval f the C-rdinatin Cmmittee. If the C-rdinatin Cmmittee refuses t apprve the change f lcatin, the Member Assciatin shall cntinue with the riginal lcatin r Wrld Archery shall remve the Champinship. In this case the Member Assciatin shall be liable fr all expenses resulting frm the change f cuntry r the cancellatin f the Champinship Cngress may establish a maximum limit fr the entry fees t Wrld Champinships Management Structures The Champinship is managed by the fllwing cmmittees: The C-rdinatin Cmmittee; The Organising Cmmittee The C-rdinatin Cmmittee is made up f: The Wrld Archery President r his representative wh shall be the chairpersn whse primary functin is t prtect Wrld Archery's interest in general; The Technical Delegate, whse functin is t ensure the technical aspects f the Champinship are crrect; The President f the hst Member Assciatin r his representative; The President f the Organising Cmmittee; The Secretary General r his representative whse functin is t prtect Wrld Archery's interest in terms f marketing, televisin and media and gather infrmatin fr future champinships The Wrld Champinship is managed by the C-rdinatin Cmmittee, which is respnsible fr: The supervisin and smth running f the event; The implementatin f the laws and bylaws; Settling any dispute, cmplaint r prtest which des nt cncern any ther cmmittee, r the Jury f Appeal; Taking emergency actin t ensure the smth running f the Champinship and prtect Wrld Archery's reputatin; Deciding any ther matters nt cvered in the Cnstitutin and Rules; Supervising the rganisatin f the ceremnies A Technical Delegate shall be appinted by Wrld Archery t versee the technical aspects f Champinships. The respnsibilities f the Technical Delegate shall be: Maintain clse c-peratin with the chairpersn f the C-rdinatin Cmmittee and with the representative f the Organising Cmmittee; Serve as liaisn persn between the Chairpersn f the Turnament Judge Cmmissin, the Directr f Shting and the C-rdinatin Cmmittee r the Organising Cmmittee; Advise the rganisers n the rules and their implementatin; Inspect the sprts facilities and the venue equipment t be used during the cmpetitin; Check that all preparatins are in accrdance with the rules and the Organisers manual; Reprt t the Executive Bard n the prgress f the preparatin f the Champinship; Supervise and attend the draw; Organise and chair the Team Managers meeting; Ensure that the rules are bserved; Advise the C-rdinatin Cmmittee n necessary changes t prtect the best interests f Wrld Archery and the quality f the Champinship The Organising Cmmittee is respnsible fr the rganisatin f the Champinship and shall implement the decisins f the C-rdinatin Cmmittee The rganisers shall cmmunicate t Wrld Archery 60 days befre the Champinship the number f press accreditatin cards they intend t use The Organising Cmmittee shall submit t every Cngress, between the date f allcatin and that f the Champinship, a reprt n the prgress made in the preparatins The Organising Cmmittee is ttally respnsible fr making financial arrangements fr the Champinship allcated t them in: Page 5 / 64

Management Structures Canadian Champinships AC A Canadian Champinship is managed by: an Organizing Cmmittee in cperatin with an assigned Technical Delegate. AC t be develped AC t be develped AC AC A Technical Delegate will be appinted by Archery Canada t versee the technical aspects f each Archery Canada Champinship and t assist the turnament Organizing Cmmittee in all technical facets f running the event. in additin t WA , the AC Technical Delegate will: ensure that all entry frms & lgs are crrect, ensure the rganizing cmmittee is aware f all respnsibilities, ensure all deadlines are met, supervise Fred Usher Cup set up, supervise the Canadian Open, supervise the Grand Prix events ensure the field f play is set at crrect layut and target arrangements are crrect fr different categries, mnitr scre keeping and result reprting. AC AC AC The Organising Cmmittee is respnsible fr the rganisatin f the Champinship and shall implement the decisins f the Technical Delegate. The Organising Cmmittee shall submit t every Bard f Directrs meeting between the date f allcatin and that f the Champinship, a reprt n the prgress made in the preparatins. The Organising Cmmittee is ttally respnsible fr making financial arrangements fr the Champinship allcated t them: Archery Canada Octber 2014 AC 5

11 Deciding the amunt f entry fees within the limits set by Cngress; Bearing the csts f anti-dping cntrl Wrld Archery shall arrange, in agreement with the Organising Cmmittee, fd, ldging and necessary lcal transprtatin fr the Judges, the cst f which shall be brne by the rganisers The Secretary General shall ntify all Member Assciatins which have entered participants, when a Champinship event shall nt be held fr a categry. Member Assciatins that have entered participants shall be ntified f the change n later than 40 days befre the first day f shting A results verifier shall be appinted by Wrld Archery t assist the Organising Cmmittee and the Technical Delegate t ensure the validity f target assignments and scring, and verify results and the publicatin f the result lists Invitatins Invitatins shall be distributed t Member Assciatins eligible t cmpete, Hnrary Officers, the Executive Bard and the respective Permanent Cmmittee At least six mnths befre the first day f cmpetitin, the rganisers shall issue: Invitatins t Member Assciatins eligible t cmpete; Detailed infrmatin n the entry fees; Preliminary entry frms requesting the numbers f expected participants and fficials fr each event; Final entry frms requesting names f participants entered fr each event, and f fficials; Infrmatin n accmmdatin, bking arrangements, meals, csts, etc At least three mnths befre the first day f cmpetitin, the rganisers shall send t eligible Member Assciatin cnfirmatin that the Champinships shall be held as annunced Entries All Member Assciatins in gd standing (see Appendix 1-Cngress Prcedures, Article in Bk 1) may enter athletes Member Assciatins wishing t enter athletes in a Champinship shall register as fllws: Submit preliminary entries, which is mandatry, nt later than 90 days befre the first day f cmpetitin; Submit final entries nt later than 20 days befre the first day f cmpetitin; Member Assciatins which send final entries that are mre than tw (fur fr Yuth) athletes different frm the numbers indicated in the preliminary entries shall pay a fine established by the Executive Bard; Teams that submit their final entries 40 days prir t the first day f cmpetitin shall receive a reductin f 20% f the entry fee; Teams that enter after the 20 day deadline r make changes after this deadline shall pay a penalty f 150 USD per change r athlete registered; Under n circumstances shall Wrld Archery accept any entries after the Team Managers meeting r the fficial practice, whichever cmes first Entries submitted after the specified clsing date may be refused by the rganisers r Wrld Archery; hwever, if the cause f the delay is due t circumstances beynd the cntrl f the Member Assciatin cncerned, the rganisers and Wrld Archery may accept that entry. Wrld Archery reserves the right t refuse any entry after the 20 day deadline if such entry wuld cause a change in the prgramme r cause ther rganisatinal prblems. Such decisin shall be taken by the Secretary General after cnsultatin with the Organising Cmmittee The submissin f entry frms implies: A declaratin that the Member Assciatin is in gd standing (see Appendix 1-Cngress Prcedures, Article in Bk 1); That all athletes and fficials expenses shall be cvered by the respective Member Assciatin in case f illness r accident; All athletes and fficials have signed the Anti-Dping Agreement (see Appendix 1-Anti-dping agreement in Bk 6). If this is nt the case, athletes frm that Member Assciatin shall nt be eligible t cmpete in the Champinship The number f athletes that may be entered by a Member Assciatin is limited At Wrld Champinships, a Member Assciatin may enter n mre than three athletes in each categry A mixed team cnsists f ne female and ne male athlete f the same categry A Wrld Champinship shall nt be held fr any categry fr which preliminary entries reflect fewer than 12 individuals and six teams. Fr the Yuth and Para-Archery categries, the minimum numbers shall be eight individuals and fur teams If fewer athletes/teams are entered than the number required fr each match play rund (see 4.5. The Organizing Cmmittee shall ntify all registering cmpetitrs, when a Champinship event shall nt be held fr a categry. Such ntificatin will be included n the registratin frm. t be develped AC 3.6. Invitatin and Registratin AC Invitatins shall be published n the AC website t all registrants eligible t cmpete. AC At least six mnths befre the first day f cmpetitin, the rganisers shall issue: invitatins t Registrants eligible t cmpete; detailed infrmatin n the entry fees; entry frms requesting names and ther pertinent infrmatin f participants; infrmatin n schedule, accmmdatin, bking arrangements, meals, csts, etc. infrmatin n available categries (see. Cnditinal Divisins AC 3.21, Bk2) infrmatin n dress regulatins (see AC 20, Bk3) AC At least three mnths befre the first day f cmpetitin, the rganisers shall publish a cnfirmatin that the Champinships shall be held as annunced. AC 3.7. Entries AC All Canadian registrants in gd standing meeting eligibility requirements may enter as athletes in champinship cmpetitin (see AC 2.0 & AC , Bk1). AC nte sme eligibility requirements fr Team Trials and Majr Events may be separately published. AC AC AC Registrants wishing t enter a champinship cmpetitin shall register as prescribed n the AC website fr the particular event. AC Registratin fr the fllwing Champinships and Trials shall be by n-line registratin r thrugh ther prescribed cntact with the Organizers. Canadian Outdr Target Champinship, Canadian Field Champinship, Canadian 3D Outdr Champinship, Canadian 3D Indr Champinship, Canadian Open. AC Registratin fr the Canadian Reginal Indr Champinship shall be as prescribed by the hst clubs. AC Registratin fr the Fred Usher Memrial Cup shall be made by the prvincial team n later than the time annunced during the Turnament Infrmatin Meeting f the Outdr Target Champinship. AC Entries submitted after the specified clsing date may be refused by the rganizers; hwever, if the cause f the delay is due t circumstances beynd the cntrl f the registrant cncerned, the rganisers may accept that entry. Archery Canada reserves the right t refuse any entry after the deadline if such entry wuld cause a change in the prgramme r cause ther rganisatinal prblems. Such decisin shall be taken by the Technical Delegate after cnsultatin with the Organising Cmmittee. The submissin f an entry implies declaratins that: the registrant meets the eligibility requirements (see AC , Bk 1 sectins 2.1,2.2) the registrants is in gd standing; the registrant agrees t participate in anti-dping as required; the registrant agrees t abide by the cdes f cnduct f Archery Canada. A champinship shall nt be held fr any categry that is currently an excluded Cnditinal Divisin (see AC 3.21, Bk 2). Other prvisins f this sectin WA are generally applicable in Canada. This includes, in the case f wheelchair athletes, 1 Team Official fr every 3 wheelchair athletes frm the same prvince, in frnt f the waiting line. AC Organizers will allcate t each cmpeting athlete an athlete number card which shall be prf f accreditatin as a cmpetitr and which shall be wrn by the athletes t allw the spectatrs and thers t recgnize them. Athlete numbers will remain unchanged thrughut the turnament. AC Athlete numbers are t be prminently displayed upright n the athlete s quiver, quiver belt r thigh, visible frm behind the shting psitin at all times while shting is in prgress. AC Accreditatin badges and athlete numbers need nt be issued r wrn fr the Reginal Indr Champinship. AC 3.9. Champinship Dcuments AC The rganisers are respnsible fr prviding the fllwing dcuments: Fr the Canadian Outdr Target Champinship, the Field Champinship, the 3D Indr Champinship and the 3D Outdr Champinship: AC A prgramme fr the Champinship indicating dates, times and venues f all cmpetitins, ceremnies, ccasins and services f interest t athletes and fficials befre and during the cmpetitin. This prgramme shall have been apprved by the Technical Directr. 19 They shall cnsult with the Directr f Shting and the Chairpersn f the Turnament Judge Cmmissin n questins which arise regarding the shting They shall handle any disputes and appeals which may arise and, where apprpriate, pass them n t the Jury f Appeal They shall in liaisn with the Directr f Shting interrupt the shting if necessary because f weather cnditins, pwer failures, a serius accident, r ther ccurrences, but t attempt, if at all pssible, that each day s prgram is cmpleted n that day They shall cnsider relevant cmplaints r requests frm Team Captains and, where applicable, take suitable actin. Cllective decisins shall be made by a simple majrity f vtes. In case f a tie, the chairpersn shall have a tie breaking vte They shall deal with questins cncerning the cnduct f the shting r the cnduct f an athlete. These questins shall be ldged with the Judges withut any undue delay and in any event shall be ldged befre the prize giving. The Chairman will review the appeal and within three (3) days f receiving the appeal, will either cnvene the three-member Jury f Appeal t cnsider the matter r advise the appellant that he des nt cnsider the matter suitable fr a Jury. In the latter case, the appellant has a further three (3) days t resubmit the appeal t the Chairman. Claims fr recrds must be submitted t the AC Recrds Crdinatr within 30 days after the turnament in questin. A claim fr a recrd shall cntain: Athlete s name and AC registrant number; Athlete s year f birth; Athlete s mailing address; Athlete s shting discipline and categry (divisin, gender, age); Specificatin f the recrd being claimed (distance(s) and/r ttal); Name, descriptin, place and date f the turnament; Name f a Judge at the turnament; Cpy f the riginal screcard, signed by the athlete and by the persn wh cmpleted the screcard, r by the secnd screr if the athlete claiming the recrd was the screr. The name f the witness r secnd screr shuld be printed legibly n the card r in the recrd claim. Recrds may be granted up t 180 days fllwing a turnament if substantiating evidence is prvided in additin t the abve infrmatin. Such evidence will take the frm f a signed statement attesting t the recrd frm a Judge wh fficiated at the turnament r frm the turnament rganizer wh verifies the recrd frm a cpy f the screcard cllected at the turnament. Upn receipt f such applicatin, the Recrds Crdinatr will immediately ntify the AC President wh will cnvene an Appeal Bard cnsisting f the President and tw members f the Executive, Bard f Directrs r Cmmittee Chairpersns. The Appeal Bard will review the recrd claim and decide the issue by majrity vte within 30 days f receiving the applicatin. Any Archery Canada registrant may challenge a recrd that has been granted within 60 days f its being psted n the AC web site. A challenge must clearly identify the recrd in questin and the grunds fr the challenge and shuld include any supprting dcumentatin. A media line shall be marked ne meter in frnt f the waiting line Each target butt utdrs shall be set up at an angle f between 10 and 15 degrees frm vertical and between 0 and 10 degrees indrs, but a line f target butts shall be set up all at the same angle The height f the centres f the target faces in a line f target butts shuld lk straight at all times All athletes in a categry shall be assigned t ne field f play Whenever pssible three athletes per target shall be assigned. These lanes shall be marked by lines extending at right angles frm the shting line t the target line A line parallel t the shting line shall be marked 3m in frnt f the shting line Suitable barriers fr the public shall be erected t keep spectatrs safe. Cnsideratin shuld be given t any distractins caused t the athletes by mvement f peple, etc. behind the butts. Outdrs these barriers shall be at least 20m away frm the sides f the first and last target set at 90m. This distance may be reduced in a straight line t a minimum f 10m away frm the ends at the shting line. This shall maintain a margin f apprximately 13m frm the target line when the target butts are mved t 30m. The barriers shall be at least 10m behind the waiting line. The barriers shall be set at least 50m beynd the 90m target line. This shall create a safety zne increasing t 110m when target butts have been mved frward t 30m. The safety distance f 50m may be reduced if an adequate backstp, e.g. efficient netting, a bank r similar device, is erected (nt a hedge r penetrable fence). The backstp shall be high enugh t stp arrws which have just missed the tp f the butt at 90m. Indrs where the size f the hall dictates, suitable barriers shall be erected arund the range t keep spectatrs back. These barriers shall be at least 10m frm the ends f the target line and shall be at a minimum f 5m behind the waiting line. N spectatrs are allwed beynd the target line. Each clur is divided by a thin line int tw znes f equal width thus making 10 scring znes f equal width when measured frm the centre f the gld: 6.1cm n the 122cm target face; 4cm n the 80cm target face; 3cm n the 60cm face; 2cm n the 40cm face. The dividing lines shall be entirely within the higher scring zne in each case. There are n dividing lines between light blue and black, nr between black and white. The line marking the utermst edge f the white shall be made entirely within the scring zne. The width f the thin dividing line and the utermst line shall nt exceed 2mm n the target faces. The centre f the target face shall be indicated by a small + (crss). The lines f the crss shall nt exceed 1mm in width r 4mm in length. Digital Clcks; When timing is cntrlled by the use f digital clcks the figures n the clck shall be a minimum f 20cm in height and shall be able t be clearly read at a distance f 100m. They shall be able t be stpped and reset very quickly as and when required. The clck shall functin n a cuntdwn principle. All ther requirements shall be the same as fr lights. Emergency Equipment; When the time limit is cntrlled by electrical equipment, plates, flags r ther manual indicatrs shall be available in case the ther equipment fails. When the time limit is cntrlled manually by means f plates, these are a minimum f 120cm by 80cm in size. They shall be securely munted t resist any wind and shall be easy t turn quickly t shw either side. One side f each plate shall be green and the reverse side f each plate shall be yellw. The shting pegs shall have different clurs, crrespnding t each grup f categries as fllws: Blue fr the Barebw, Cadet Recurve and Cadet Cmpund; Red fr the Recurve and Cmpund; Yellw fr the Cadet Barebw The tlerances are: Fr distances 15m r less ±25cm; Fr distances between 15-60m ±1m. Hwever, the distances given in Article , Article and Article may be adjusted by ±2m. The crrect distance shall be marked n the shting peg. The distance shuld be measured in the air apprximately 1.5-2m abve the grund.
