Bard f Educatin apprves the hiring f Gregry Jhnsn as assistant superintendent fr curriculum and instructin He will replace Phil Prale, wh is retiring after 13 years in the rle. Since 2010, Mr. Jhnsn has served as the principal f Centennial High Schl, a diverse schl that cmprises rughly 1,500 students in Champaign, Ill. OPRFHS News Junir Emma Vejcik is the Illinis finalist in Ggle's natinal K-12 Ddle cntest. Yu can cast ne vte a day at Ddle4Ggle.cm, thrugh March 6. If Emma wins the natinal award, she'll nt nly have her Ddle artwrk featured n the Ggle landing page n March 31, but she'll als win a $30,000 cllege schlarship and a $50,000 technlgy grant fr OPRF High Schl. Senir Gina Gerace and freshman Charltte True have had their ceramic art wrk juried int the Natinal K-12 Ceramics Exhibitin t take place at the Natinal Cnference fr Educatin in the Ceramic Arts in Prtland Oregn. Speech team was amng tp 10 ut f nearly 200 teams in the state t be recgnized as IHSA Team Academic winners. All members f a team must have a grade pint average (GPA) f 3.0 r higher. OPRF's average GPA was f 7

They are nw brainstrming ways t fundraise t g t Natinals in May! -Japanese Club was a huge success -Empty Bwls raised ver $9,000 fr the Oak Park Fd Pantry! -Mary Pppins is ff t a great start- a very impressive and prfessinal shw! The characters fly and even g upside dwn- I may have held my breath thrugh thse scenes, but it was ne f the best shws I ve seen here!
