2 All-Star Prep Tryut Details Pwer Pack All-Star Prep Teams at Tp Dg will be frmed based n ages as well as skills. Our staff will strive t put tgether the best pssible cmpetitive teams that will scre well in the divisin. There may be athletes n any given team that tumble at a different level than the rest f the their teammates. We try t match up the levels the best we can, but please remember that stunting, jumps, pyramids, dance, mtins, and age are a huge factr as well. We chse ur teams based n the psitins that we need t fill. Athletes shuld cme prepared the first day with all the required paperwrk, first installment payment. Athletes will be evaluated in grups and be asked t demnstrate jumps, mtins, tumbling, and stunting. Tryuts are clsed t spectatrs except parents f athletes ages 5-6. Athletes shuld wear shrts, shes, shirt and a bw. Tryut Checklist Register fr tryuts nline and pay $45 fee. Register early by Nvember 29 th and pay nly $40. Level 1 being the beginning level with level 3 being the mst advanced level. 4 Tp Dg Pwer Pack Csts Cmpetitive cheerleading is an expensive sprt and families shuld carefully cnsider the csts invlved befre cmmitting. Flrida Tp Dg has ne f the best air-cnditined state-f-theart facilities in the state. Our facility encurages prgressive skill learning as athletes can safely accmplish new skills by using ur in-grund apparatuses and variety f tumbling surfaces and equipment. We are pen and up frnt with ur fees and have built in a mnthly charge that cvers mst f the expenses thrughut the year. All fees will be paid directly t Flrida Tp Dg All-Stars. In ding this, each cheerleader has the pprtunity t raise 100% f his/her share f participatin expenses. Athletes can raise their funds thrugh spnsrships as well as fundraising ffered. All funds turned in are cnsidered spnsrship and dnatins t the Flrida Tp Dg All-Stars; therefre if a cheerleader quits r is dismissed frm the team, n mney will be refunded nr can mney be requested t transfer t anther cheerleader. Flrida Tp Dg All-Stars is a nt-fr-prfit 501(c)3. Csts Five mnthly Installments will include gym fee as well as all-star fees. Gym fees cver yur child s practice times and all-star fees cver cmpetitin fees, rutine music, bw, gym registratin, insurance, administratin and caches fees, end f the year awards, and cmpetitin unifrm fr Half Seasn Teams. A $45 tryut fee must be paid nline in rder t register t participate in the tryut selectin. The first installment f $ is paid the first day f tryuts (cash r check nly). First installments will be depsited after the first practice. If a cheerleader des nt make a team r chses nt t cheer, the first installment will be refunded as lng as he r she has nt attended practice. N gym fee discunt is given t athletes n half seasn prep teams. Mnthly classes will be given at a discunted rate fr Tp Dg Athletes: $30 a mnth fr 1 class per week -- (4 classes ttal) $55 fr 2 classes per week $80 fr 3 classes per week Athletes must sign up nline n ur JUST TUMBLIN Prtal and must pay at the frnt desk t get the mnthly discunted rate. Financial Infrmatin and Payment Plicy Yu will be paying mnthly dues that will be deducted frm yur credit/debit card at the beginning f each mnth. All team members must have a Credit Card Authrizatin Frm n file fr their accunt. This frm will be due with the tryut packet and returned if the athlete des nt make the team. All Tp Dg fees will be billed n r by the 1st f each mnth. All fees must be paid in full n r by the 1st f each mnth. On the 2 nd f each mnth, any utstanding balances will be charged t yur credit card. Once yur child has been placed n a team, yu must g nline t yur parent prtal and input yur payment infrmatin. Select manage payment ptins and chse hw yu want yur fees t be paid. Yur credit/debit/e-check numbers will be stred and drafted n the 8th f the mnth thrugh yur nline accunt. Aut-pay is nt saved n ur cmputer nr is it saved within iclass pr. It is saved by the Payment Gateway Prgram. Even thugh all families are required t be n Aut-pay, yu may still make payments at the frnt desk by using cash, mney rder, check r credit card. 6 Tp Dg Pwer Pack Csts Any payments resulting in NSF, declined credit card r expired credit card will incur a $30 service charge. Return checks and fees must be paid in cash. It is yur respnsibility t update yur infrmatin if yur infrmatin changes. An athlete s accunt must be current and in gd standing in rder t participate in practices, private lessns, cmpetitins, and special events. Flrida Tp Dg reserves the right t remve any athlete frm his/her team fr failure t keep up with financial bligatins. All accunts must be current befre an athlete may cllect any clthing/unifrms, r ther retail items. If an athlete chses t leave, r is asked t leave fr any reasn befre the seasn is ver, any and all funds are nn-refundable. Gym fees and All-star fees cannt be pr-rated (except December) and will nt be adjusted during times the gym is clsed, vacatin days, practices cancelled, etc. Sessin 1 athletes that cheered frm May 2017-December 207 fr the cmplete Sessin- A $210 unifrm credit and a $20 bw credit will be given n installments if the athlete des nt need a new unifrm r a new bw, given that we keep the same bw fr each sessin. $150 credit is applied twards the December all-star payment and $80 credit will be applied twards the April 1 st all-star fee. 7 All-Star Prep Parent & Athlete Plicies 1. Attendance is crucial t team success. An absent request frm is available nline and must be filled ut prir t the absence. Absences and tardiness will be nted and reviewed n a regular basis. An athlete wh accumulates 3 unexcused absences may be dismissed frm the team. An athlete with mre than 7 absences (excused and unexcused cmbined) may be dismissed frm the team (This des nt include summer misses.). Extreme circumstances such as injury may be taken int cnsideratin. Excused reasns fr being absent: a. Death in the family. b. An Illness that is s severe that it prevents the athlete frm being at practice and watching t see if any changes are being made t the rutine and his/her psitin. Parents must call the caches at hme r at Just Tumblin befre the scheduled activity t ntify f absence. c. Special circumstances that may be apprved by the cach. d. Religius Hlidays. Unexcused reasns fr being absent: a. Lessns f any kind (pian, dance, etc.) b. Dctr r dentist appintments, unless it is an emergency. Appintments shuld be scheduled s they will nt cnflict with cheerleading activities. c. Jbs. If an athlete takes n the respnsibility f a jb, it must be scheduled s that it will nt cnflict with cheerleading duties. d. Family utings r vacatins after the schedule has been set. This includes hlidays. e. Cncerts f. Schl activities nt classified under Special Circumstances. g. Invlvement in ther sprts r teams. h. Dn't have a ride. i. Have t much hmewrk, need t study fr a test, etc. j. Withhlding yur child frm practice as a frm f discipline. 2. Tardiness -- If an athlete is mre than 10 minutes late t a practice r leaves mre than10 minutes early frm a practice, it is cnsidered an unexcused tardy. Three unexcused tardies will be cunted as ne unexcused absence. It will be at the cach s discretin as t whether the tardy is cnsidered excused r unexcused. If a cheerleader is absent fr mre than half f the practice, it is cunted as an absence. Please see reasns fr excused and unexcused absences. 3. Athletes may participate n schl and recreatin teams with the understanding that all Tp Dg practices, cmpetitins, and activities take first pririty. Tp Dg practices missed due t a schl r rec. squad cnflict will be UNEXCUSED. Athletes will be allwed t cmpete with their high schls as lng as they cmpete within the guidelines that have been set fr Pinellas Cunty Schls. If an athlete misses a Tp Dg cmpetitin due t a schl cheerleading cmpetitin, she/he will be remved frm the team. Athletes will nt be allwed t cmpete n anther all-star team during the Tp Dg Cheer Seasn. Page 1 f 3

8 All-Star Prep Parent & Athlete Plicies 4. Athletes may nt take any absences ne week befre the first cmpetitin f the seasn and an absence ne practice befre any ther cmpetitin. If he/she misses a practice ne week prir t the cmpetitin, then he/she will have t sit ut f ne cmpetitin. An athlete wh is ill shuld still cme t practice. The cach can send him/her hme if illness is severe. Extreme circumstances will be determined by the caching staff. 5. Practices will be planned depending n the needs f the squad. If necessary, additinal practices, and even Sunday practices, may be scheduled t prepare fr cmpetitins. (There is n extra gym charge fr additinal practices r hurs.) Caches may schedule practices fr everyday f the week ne week prir t a large cmpetitin if a team is in need f extra practice. 6. Encurage gd sprtsmanship by being an example. Be psitive in cmmunicating with yur teammates. We will nt tlerate bad muthing ther all-star prgrams, teammates, caches etc. frm ur athletes and/r parents. 7. N jewelry shuld be wrn during practices and cmpetitins. Cell phnes shuld be put away. 8. We are nt respnsible fr lst r stlen items. 9. Practice Shrts r sweats shuld nt be rlled mre than ne time. Female athletes need t wear blmers r spandex shrts under their practice shrts. Cheerleaders are required t wear a bw fr each practice. 10. Athletes are required t stay with the team befre, during, and after each cmpetitin until prperly dismissed by the caches. This includes vernight trips and practices. If a parent chses t pull an athlete frm practice r an event withut the permissin frm the cach, it will be interpreted that the parent is pulling the athlete ff the team and will have the same cnsequences as when an athlete quits. Athletes must abide by Tp Dg rules until dismissed by their caches. 11. Due t the fact that sme cmpetitins require a day r tw fr travel, athletes may need t miss a few days f schl in rder t travel with the team. Athletes are respnsible fr ntifying their schl and btaining schlwrk frm their teachers. Please d nt schedule travel time that will cnflict with practices. It is nt ptinal fr an athlete t chse whether r nt he r she will cmpete at an event. 12. Parents are required t prvide transprtatin and ldging if applicable t all cmpetitins. Parents need t prvide prper supervisin fr their athlete. 13. An athlete is a leader and shuld be an example t all. If an athlete is fund t have been drinking, smking, using drugs, stealing, lying, using ful language, r invlved in any immral behavir upn arrival r during any Tp Dg activity, it will be grunds fr dismissal r suspensin frm the team at the caches discretin. 14. All athletes must strive t maintain a 2.0 grade pint average. Educatin is very imprtant and is ne f the many ways f being a gd example t thers and uphlding high standards fr the team. Page 2 f 3

9 All-Star Prep Parent & Athlete Plicies 15. If an athlete becmes injured r severely ill, and is nt capable f perfrming his/her duties prir t a cmpetitin, he r she may be replaced by anther athlete. The participant pass r ticket is then given t the athlete that is replacing the injured athlete. If the injured athlete wants t still attend the event, then he r she must purchase a spectatr pass int the cmpetitin. Once the injured athlete is cleared by the dctr t return t activities, it will be up t the TD staff t determine if the athlete is ready t cmpete. If an athlete misses a cmpetitin fr any reasn, the athlete will be replaced with anther athlete. 16. All funds turned in are cnsidered spnsrship and dnatins t the Flrida Tp Dg All-Stars; therefre if an athlete quits r is dismissed frm the team, n mney will be refunded nr can mney be requested t transfer t anther athlete. 17. If an athlete quits r is dismissed frm the team, he r she relinquishes the right t any items that have nt been distributed. Special rder items bught thrugh the Cheer shp will need t be picked up within 30 days f delivery date. After 30 days, the item will be put back n the shelf t sell and mney will nt be refunded. 18. The caches maintain the right t dismiss r suspend an athlete at any time fr breech f the Tp Dg Plicies and/r Cheerleading Cntract. In the best interest f each team, the cach has the right t suspend r dismiss an athlete at any time if he r she feels that an athlete s behavir r actins have brught discrd and/r dissentin amng the team. Please see items #20 and #21 fr plicies regarding funds and Tp Dg items. 19. Once an athlete quits a team r is dismissed, he/she will nt be allwed t rejin the team fr the remainder f the seasn. If a parent chses t pull an athlete frm a team fr academic r disciplinary reasns, the athlete will nt be able t rejin the team fr the remainder f the seasn. Extreme circumstances will be determined by the staff. 20. Athletes must refrain frm using scial media fr vicing frustratins and cmplaints regarding their teammates, caches, the prgram, etc. The athlete shuld nt engage in negative banter between ther all-star prgrams. All psts shuld uphld the psitive standards that Tp Dg requires f their athletes. Psitive standards include refraining frm using ful language, as well prfanity abbreviatins, and psting phts that are inapprpriate. 21. Mst f ur cmmunicatin is dne thrugh and thrugh team facebk pages. Please check this regularly. 22. Yu cannt create r sell yur wn Tp Dg clthing using the Flrida Tp Dg Name, Lgs, r specially designed team lgs. 23. Due t the busy nature f ur facility and prgrams, we ask that athletes d nt arrive mre than 15 minutes prir t their scheduled practice/class time unless they have permissin frm their cach t cme in early t wrk n necessary skills fr their rutine.
