The Hooks, 6-0 opposite NWA, now own nine shutout victories. Jake Buchanan led the charge, permitting one hit over five frames. He did not walk a batter and fanned four, throwing 36 of 54 pitches for strikes. Buchanan has not allowed an earned run in his last 7 appearances, lowering his ERA to a Minor League best Carlos Quevedo slammed the door with the four-inning save. Quevedo had retired eight in a row before surrendering consecutive singles in the ninth. He walked one, struck out four and, like Buchanan, delivered 54 pitches with 36 registering for strikes.
