The result salvaged the series and snapped Corpus Christi s losing streak at 3. Kent Emanuel led the charge on the hill, tossing 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The lefty walked 1 and struck out 2, throwing 75 pitches. Mitch Lambson faced 1 over the minimum and fanned 3 in 3.0 innings of work. Daniel Minor worked around a base hit in the 9th to close out the game. Hooks pitchers kept Tulsa out of scoring position over the final 5 frames. Reigning Texas League pitcher of the week Julio Urias earned the start for the Drillers. The 18-year-old lefty had not allowed a run in 10.2 innings leading up to Tuesday. After a perfect first 2 innings, Urias yielded a lead-off double to Telvin Nash. With 2 away, Tony Kemp beat out an infield hit, scoring Nash from third base. In the fourth, singles by Brandon Meredith and Conrad Gregor preceded a Tyler White walk to load the bases. With 2 outs, Mier lined an 0-2 pitch to the wall in left-center, clearing the bases for a 4-0 Corpus Christi lead. Roberto Pena was next and smacked an RBI single into center.
