The result matched Corpus Christi s most lopsided loss of the year. The Hounds erased a 4-2 Hooks lead by scoring 3 times in the 5th. Four consecutive singles opened the frame and chased Kyle Westwood from the game. Aaron West entered and watched 2 cross the plate on a wild pitch and infield single respectively. Wade Kirkland s double in the 6th set the stage for the visitor s 6th tally. Midland sent 11 to the plate in the 9th, capitalizing on 5 hits and 3 walks. The assault culminated with Chad Pinder s 3-run double to right -center. Pinder, who hit a home run in the 1st, plated 5 on the night. The Hooks offensive attack was limited to 3 home runs. Danry Vasquez led off the 1st with a base hit to center field. Two outs later, A.J. Reed reached on a single and Jon Kemmer belted a 3-run bomb to left field.
