Right-hander Akeem Bostick took over for Kyle Smith with the Hooks ahead 4-2 in the sixth. Midland mustered a double, walk and infield single to begin the frame. Bostick then yielded a shallow fly ball to center field, retiring Viosergy Rosa for the first out. After falling behind 2-0 to the next hitter, Andy Paz, Bostick left the game due to injury. The Hounds then pounced for four runs on two singles, a sac fly and an RBI groundout off Eric Peterson. Midland added two runs in each of the next two frames. Rosa s RBI double highlighted the output in the seventh, and a lead-off twobagger by Richie Martin set up the eighth. Andrew Thome relieved Peterson to get the final two outs. Corpus Christi jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to doubles by Drew Ferguson and Jon Singleton in the first. The Hooks tacked on two more in the fourth. Trent Woodward coaxed a lead-off walk from Ben Bracewell. One out later, Jamie Ritchie doubled, and Alejandro followed with a two-run, two-bagger into the left-field corner. Facing Kyle Friedrichs, Tyler Wolfe opened the fifth with his first Double-A hit, a single into centerfield. Antonio Nunez was next and placed an RBI triple down the left-field line. Nunez later left the game after being hit on the right hand by a pitch in the seventh. Kyle Finnegan twirled two scoreless innings to finish the game. Hiraldo went 0-1 with a 5.13 ERA in 12 assignments (5 GS) for Rookie-Level Greeneville last season. The Appalachian League batted.242 with 1 home run against him. Hiraldo, who hails from Altamira, DR, struck out 25 and walked in 33.1 innings pitched.
