Garrett Stubbs paced the Hooks 12-hit by going 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs. Both of Stubbs run-producing extra-base hits came with two outs. Rehabbing Astro Collin McHugh made the start for the Hooks, holding the Travs to 1 hit through the first two frames. The Travs pounced for three unearned runs in the third. Seth Mejias-Brean s two-out, tworun single put the visitors up 3-2. Jack Mayfield s lead-off home run in the third highlighted a two-run frame for the Hooks. Arkansas made it a one-run game in the sixth. With runners at the corners and two out, Kent Emanuel surrendered an infield single to Ryan Casteel. The knock was compounded by a throwing error from shortstop Antonio Nunez, as two runs came around on the play. Emanuel fanned Joey Wong to end the inning. The lefty also netted a bases-loaded-k to finish the seventh, and induced a double play to close the door in the eighth. Emanuel then fashioned a ninth for his fifth win of the year.
