His first homer was hit April 30 vs. Frisco. ROSTER UPDATE: The Astros have promoted C Carlos Canelon to Corpus Christi from short-season Tri-City. Canelon, a 22- year-old from Barquisimeto, Venezuela, was signed by the Astros in April He committed 1 error and 2 passed balls in 16 games behind the plate for the Valley Cats, throwing out 5 of 12 runners (42%) attempting to steal.
