The lone run charged to Emanuel was unearned. He surrendered four hits and struck out seven. Emanuel had retired 14 of 15 RoughRiders until a couple walks began the sixth. The 25-year-old lefty dispatched the next three hitters, including a pair of strikeouts, to finish his night. Riley Ferrell and Andrew Thome combined for three shutout frames of relief. Ferrell worked around three singles in the seventh and eighth. Thome survived two walks in the ninth. Corpus Christi turned three double plays over the final frames. Frisco went 0-for-10 with men in scoring position. Riders starter Ariel Jurado recorded four consecutive outs to open his outing. A string of hits by Jack Mayfield, Garrett Stubbs, Ramon Laureano and Jason Martin put Corpus Christi in front, 3-1. The Mayfield and Stubbs singles set up Laureano s two-run double down the left-field line. Martin plated Laureano with a two-bagger to right.
