The Hooks have now lost 10 games in a row. Corpus Christi s lone run came on a lead-off dinger by J.D. Davis in the fourth. Graves held the Hooks to one hit and one walk before leaving the game due to injury with one away in the third. Following the Davis homer, Bracewell surrendered just one more hit, working around two walks and two hit batsmen. Bragg pitched the final three frames to earn his second save. Corpus Christi went 0- for-10 with men in scoring position and stranded 10 on base. Dean Deetz struck out five through the first two innings. Midland managed it s offense in the third. Singles by Argenis Raga, Richie Martin and J.P. Sportman preceded a two-run double off the bat of B.J. Boyd. Deetz got the final two outs while leaving a pair in scoring position.
