With the score level at 4, Jose Rondon opened the 10th with a base hit to left field off Cy Sneed. Rondon advanced to second on a ground ball. Sneed fanned Nick Torres for the second out before walking Noah Perio intentionally. Jacob Dorris entered the game and was promptly struck in the leg by a sharp comebacker, loading the bases. Alberth Martinez was next and hit a ground ball to third base. J.D. Davis who was activated earlier in the afternoon from the disabled list, made an errant throw to first base, allowing two runs to score. Thomas Dorminy and Adam Cimber stranded two in the home half to secure the victory. San Antonio carried a 4-3 lead into the ninth inning. Alejandro Garcia responded by driving a triple into the right-field corner. One out later, Kristian Trompiz sent a single up the middle to tie the game. Trompiz stole second and went to third on a wild throw by the catcher Stephen McGee. Trey Wingenter struck out pitch-hitter Bryan Muniz and Bobby Boyd to end the frame. Corpus Christi s first two runs came on home runs by Boyd and Jon Singleton. The blasts opened the first and second, respectively. Singleton scored another run in the fourth on an error by shortstop Luis Urias. Hooks starter Brock Dykxhoorn pitched well, tossing five innings of tworun ball. Both tallies came in the second.
