2 Directr s Reprts: President s Reprt(Jhn Veilleux): Ratificatin f CBHA Executive Cmmittee reslutin re: Casc Bay Arena (Attachment 1) On September 2, the Executive vted unanimusly t pass a reslutin relating t financing f the new arena. There are 4 lans t clse and they have nt happened yet. It will happen this week. Next rder f business was t get Bard ratificatin f an Executive Cmmittee actin f September 2, The reslutin was brught t the Executive Cmmittee rather than t a regular r special meeting f the Bard in rder t meet a September 5th deadline. This is allwed by CBHA s bylaws. As that deadline passed withut actin, the reslutin is being presented t the entire Bard fr actin tday. The reslutin is attached t the minutes. Prir t the vte, the Treasurer reprted that CBHA has apprximately $100,000 in retained earnings. The reslutin as well as additinal terms fr a lad were circulated t the Bard members and discussin ensued. Mtin by Jhn Veilleux t apprve the reslutin and additinal term sheet as circulated. Casc Bay Arena Update I wanted t update yu all n the significant prgress we have made f late with ur Arena prject and enlist yur help with ur fundraising effrts. Site wrk cmmenced last week at the arena site, and tns f wrk was already dne by Dugas Excavating. We hung a time lapse camera nsite, s yu can track ur prgress nline at We expect t be skating in December, with the warm areas t be fully cmplete in January The frmal clsing n ur 3 lans - Bangr Savings Bank ($1.257 millin); CEI ($400,000); and GPCOG ($150,000) will take place early next week. Our ttal prject cst will be just ver $2 millin. The csts were several hundred thusand dllars mre than riginally expected based mstly n the realities f the sils and the site itself - great site fr cnvenience, etc., terrible sils t wrk with. Including Casc Bay Hckey's cntributins t the prject, we have raised apprximately $170,000 t date. That initial fundraising came mstly frm individual cntributins frm ur members, and a few imprtant crprate dnatins (Nrman Hansn & DeTry, SeaFax, and Dead River t name a few). These initial effrts paid fr all f ur upfrnt engineering, architectural, getechnical, and surveying t get the prject apprved and planned, and als funded the purchase f ur chiller, a dwn payment n the engineered steel building, and a dwn payment n the

3 rink's bards. All f ur prfessinals gave us significant reductins in their nrmal charges t keep ur csts t a minimum. MEAHA Reprt 8U numbers were 2nd lwest in Meaha. Festival tryut dates are psted. Maine is the hst. Area rinks are hsting but Casc bay is nt the hst. Margaritas will d a 15% fundraiser fr befre and after game. Many ther fundraiser are being planned. Treasurer s Reprt(Sarah Kramlich): Schlarship fund needs t be replenished as well in light f all ther fundraising Sarah has been supprting registratin and fundraising. Ngin can nw d refunds s checks dn't have t be cut. Secretary s Reprt(Jhn Lewandwski) Try Hckey fr Free Day is Nvember 8 Rich Tibbetts has vlunteered t help. Others are needed Either Prtland Ice Arena r the Pnd Huse Rink at Falmuth are preferred lcatins. Need 1-2 hurs f ice. Registrar's Reprt (Stephanie Haskins): There are sme changes that will keep us n ur tes this year. We have a great crew and I expect that all will g well. There will be n backdating f caches and/r players. Please cmmunicate when any changes/trades/additins/subtractins are made within yur divisin. All caches must be USA Hckey certified and registered n ur Casc Bay website. Caches must als have Safesprt training befre they can be rstered. The state registrar will nt sign any rster with a cach wh des nt have safesprt training. Please have caches print and hang nt their certificates fr verificatin in the very likely event that the tracking system des nt wrk prperly this year.

4 Travel Registrar s Reprt(Jhn Lewandwski): Registratin prcess has been kay but the new prgram des nt have all the functinality f the prir, rster labels being the main exceptin. In rder t streamline the prcess f registratin and birth certificate cllectin I sent 4 different s t travel players and caches n September 7 th. Travel Players nt registered Travel Caches nt registered Caches needing SafeSprt Players needing t prduce birth certificates Over 600 skaters are registered as f September 7th fr bth huse and travel. I will need the cntact list fr Travel Team Administratrs as sn as pssible. Team administratrs need t register with USA hckey and we need an interface n ur website t have them register with us. They need t d SafeSprt t. Girls teams with all make caching staffs need t have a female t be present in the lcker rm. That persn must d SafeSprt. Ice schedulers reprt (Chris Kennedy, Sally Anne Mrris, Glenn Jnssn) Chris and Sally Anne have been drafting a unifrm ice schedule fr the seasn. Weeknight ice is the mst tricky but they seem t have wrked ut a plan. Weekend ice shuld be fine We are planning Tuesday crss-ice hckey fr the Mites Huse games will be scheduled n Friday nights t reduce referee demand n Saturday. Huse ice budgets call fr teams t be n the ice 3 times per week plus 7 skill sessins. We are planning t use the first 7 f Shawn Damn s skill sessins t meet the huse budgeted ice. The will free up weeknight ice fr practice time rather than trying t plan ice fr the skill sessins and then separate huse skill sessins n weeknights. Need t designate a persn in charge fr skills sessins after the first 7 are cmplete. Budget des nt call fr extra unpaid skills sessins Will CBHA charge fr thse sessins? What skills will be invlved? Huse ice will be lighter in Octber and Nvember Falls sprts are nging Registratins are nt yet finalized and dn t want t verbuy Demand is tight pending finalizatin f the new rink. Bantam, Peewee and Squirt have made ice requests fr evaluatins. Mites needs t d s as well. Travel Scheduler s Reprt (Glenn Jnssn): MEAHA scheduling fr Bys T2 and T3 and Girls U12 is cmplete. Schedulefest is 9/9 and the schedules will be upladed int NGIN in the middle f the week. Encurage Parents t use the ngin app t get the latest schedule inevitable schedule tweaks thrughut the seasn. Ngin captures changes in realtime. SeaCast league scheduling is next up. They get set up late Octber, early Nvember. Caching Reprt(Rich Tibbetts): Caching registratins are rlling in with 77 registered t date.

5 SafeSprt is mandatry fr all caches. Caches can t be rstered withut cmpletin. Age mdules are up n the USA Hckey website. USA Hckey clinics are in the prcess f being scheduled fr suthern Maine. I will send ut dates t the caches. I will be scheduling a caches meeting fr late September/early Octber I d like t crdinate with n ice clinic fr Learn t Play/Initiatin caches. Team admin reprt(rachel Pargeter): Travel TA meeting is September 30 at 7 pm at the FIC cnference rm. All Travel teams have TAs assigned except fr U14s. Fur teams have games befre 9/30 2 valley league teams and U16, U19 girls Clynk bags are rdered fr distributin. Phts are scheduled fr 11/8 and 11/9 at Rwe Schl in Yarmuth. Turnament reprt (Amanda Wdfrd): Turnament page n CB website has been updated stating 2015 dates have nt yet been determined. Have already received inquiries fr ur March turnament dates. Tier 2 and 3 state turneys are march 6-8 fr cnflicts. Reviewing ptins fr changes t March turnaments. Pssibly spreading ut the weekends starting MLK hliday weekend thrugh March if needed. Currently wrking with Sally-Anne regarding preliminary dates and will review with Chris when necessary. Wuld like t "Shwcase" the new rink with an utdr turnament (minimum 1 game fr each team) if pssible fr a minimum f ne divisin. Everyne needs t lk thrugh their webpages again fr detail errrs Bys travel Reprt (Fran Nrris): Our Valley Hckey League teams begin play this weekend (Sept 13,14). The tw teams participating are BT VHL and PW VHL. I spke with the president f the VHL a few weeks ag and reiterated that CBHA wuld participate with mre teams in the league if they wuld allw us t pt ut f the parity rund and begin VHL play in late Oct. They are cnsidering ur request and we will pick up ur discussin nce the seasn is under way. Practice Ice- Sally and Chris have cmpleted ur practice ice schedule fr Oct and Nv. I hpe t have the practice schedule psted t the website within a week r s.

6 All teams will be in full swing during the week f Clumbus Day. Sme teams may skate a week earlier if they have games the weekend after Clumbus Day. Unifrms have been rdered. Jerseys have been received and scks shuld be here this week. Girls hckey reprt (Sctt Matusvich): U19 and U16 have started. Thanks t Chris and Andy fr the ice swap t Thursday nights. Scheduling fr U14, U12 A and U12 B underway. Thanks t Glenn fr helping with the U12 A MeAHA Pee Wee games. U12 B will play in the SHL squirt divisin. All Travel rsters are filled at this pint. Payment and registratin is still an issue. U14 huse registratins a little lw we lst a few girls t Huskys when we canceled the U14 B team. Still feel strngly they will field a team. Assessments will be held n 2 Saturdays t allw all players t attend at least ne sessin. Peewee/bantam reprt (Matt Cliffrd): Fr peewee & bantams, I need t figure ut with Sally when the evaluatins will be. We figured 3 hurs fr peewee evals & 2 hurs fr bantams. Once the evals are cnducted I can schedule t have the draft fr each divisin. I am in the prcess f lking fr caches. I already have a few lined up fr peewee s, nne fr bantams yet. Midget Huse/Travel Reprt (Andrew May): Draft was 9/2 fr huse 4 teams, 66 players Three travel teams.
